Thank you. The rail scene is very different here in the UK as no freight at all where I live, only commuter trains. One day I'd love to go to New York and see the NYAR for rel. Glad you enjoyed the video
Steve is absolutely right about the lack of US detail parts in the UK. If anyone knows of a model shop in the US that will ship parts to the UK at reasonable cost, please let us know. There were a number of shops in the UK that specialized in US models, but sadly most have closed. A special shout to Model Junction who regularly took advantage of my credit card, but who are now enjoying a well earned retirement.
Oh I know. 20 years ago you couldn't move for shops selling US stuff over here. It is sad but 911 had a lot to do with the downturn as it became more difficult and expensive to import their stuff. Still a few about though. I have used Mech Models a few times, though he can be pricey on his locos as only gets top end sound in
That looks really good Steve top job! I have Soudtraxx currentkeepers in a few of my locos. The difference they make really is good. No more stalling or cutting out of sound. Have you ever checked out Gregg of Fishplate films? He done some really good videos on tuning Tsunami decoders to get the best out of them. I know what it's like trying to operate a loco and film it at the same time. Like herding Cats! I'm not sure where you are in the UK but you should try and get to the Warley club open day on Feb 19th. You could have a go on the Freemo set up we there. Keith
Hi Keith. Down south I am afraid but will be going to the London Festival of Model Railways at Ally Pally in March. Just fitted the current keeper, am most impressed but trying to fit it in with my spaghetti of wiring and the speakers was fun. It is partially in the kab but kind of looks like the bulkhead so I can live with that. As for filming and running trains, that I can do, it's learning how to focus the new camera as well that is the fiddle. Not to worry, I will figure it out 😅
@The British Railroader I normally go to Glasgow show in February for my birthday but giving it a miss this year and going to Ally Pally. My son lives in London so the Mrs and I can stay at his. Going on the Saturday, so if your going on that day we may bump into each other.
Another good video and I do like the livery on that GP38. How big do you think those numbers are that sit up on the side? I'll be down your neck of the woods on Saturday afternoon and evening.
Cheers mate. They aren't huge but an odd font. Now that it is weathered I am happy with it as it is. Where are you headed on Saturday. I might be going out filming if the weather is good to get used to the new camera.
@@thebritishrailroader I've got some decals coming in from the states from a seller who doesn't charge stupid postage. Could have sent you the numbers you need if it helped. We will be on the 12.20 ex Liv At to Southend Victoria to meet up with family. Probably be stuck on the seafront for hours 😂
@Redfearne and McKensy Norfolk Southern HO thanks anyway, very kind of you to let me know. She's done now and I am happy with her. Good luck at the seafront, that'll be fun at this time of year 🤣
Awesome. I see the NY and A everyday

It looks great (especially the horns 🤣).
You may have to explain the Cockney Sparrah on the wall to our American cousins.
Cheers Andy, couldn't have done it without you. I will save the sparrow for another video 🤣
