A strange thing may happen when you use this brass jam nut...it can change the velocity setting. To check this for your own rifle set your hammer spring nut by shooting over your chronograph. Take note of the velocity when you have it set where you want it, then tighten the brass jam nut against your hammer spring nut. And now shoot your rifle over your chronograph to see if the velocity changed. You may be as disappointed with the results as I was. A very simple way to add tension to your hammer spring nut is to hold it upright on a hard surface and use a small hammer to flatten the threads on two sides of the nut, but not on the thread that starts it into the receiver block. Then use your Allen key to screw the hammer spring nut into the block and you will see that you have plenty of tension on the nut, and it will stay exactly where you put it without ever backing out on its own from vibration. Cheers!

Here is a hint, but after you get the final tune, you can hold the adjuster with a small match head drop of thick nail polish on the thread up against the adjuster after you have reached the optimum tune. It will stop it undoing without the grief of locktite should further tuning be required.

Using a proper metal in the first place especially where frequent use of back and forth tightening will prevent such problems.

Hello friend ... I would like to ask for help! I have a mk1 wildcat a few days ago and I feel like it's a bit hard to arm and the hammer spring is making a strange noise, what can this be? I also feel that her speed is low and the pressure regulating screw is tightened to the limit.
If you can help me, I'll be very grateful. I'm from Brazil and here you have no video in Portuguese explaining anything about the carbine. if you can give me the contact of WhatsApp to send you the video that I did here to help me I'm waiting for the answer. greetings from Brazil.
