They use the metal frame as part of their “tuff” branding. They believe in the metals longevity over pressure treated wood and the metal framing also sets Tuff Shed apart from other manufacturers as it’s unique. I don’t know of any other companies that offer metal framing. It’s the standard with their sheds but they do offer the option to use pressure treated wood if asked for or if it’s apart of a certain lineup.
@@SILENTKILLA972 are anchors worth it? Maybe if you live on the coast with Heavy hurricane winds. I’m not sure they are totally worth it. I like Tbs with lofts for that extra space.
@@ChrisSilverman I'm thinking about becoming a installer, I work in the shop. Do you think it's something you can make a living off of or is it supplemental income?
Right there with you. I’ve installed out of Columbia SC for over a year now and definitely cap out at a 12x12 8’ walls and brother it’s hell and you know what I mean, those tr800 and premiers hit different by yourself. I’ll do really any size 600 those guys are so light. I pay a helper though, we just built 8 this week with one more tomorrow(Saturday) I gotta ask do you do it all by yourself no helper and If so what’s your work flow. I feel like we do really good work and tuff shed keeps us real busy but it’s all up to how much you really wanna work. With you by yourself I’m just curious if it’s every a day 2 a days etc or just certain builds. Thanks!
My guy
Keep on keeping on
I remember when I used to build this shed but for Backyard products. they didn't come prebuild. I really liked building them. Good job!
Very cool! Way to help build The Kindom! I like it.
Hi Chris, Why does Tuff Shed use a Metal frame over a wood frame? Thank you.

@@ChrisSilverman thank you .
Do you ever anchor it to the ground?
Yeah, Tuff Shed has anchors that are installed on some sheds that are permitted or if a customer buys them, but they don’t all get them.
@ChrisSilverman in your honest opinion are they worth it? In looking into getting a TB600 with a loft along the back

How did you become a contractor for the tuff shed?
I've tried every way to contact them, calls, texts, voicemails, emails, they never answer.
What the biggest shed you feel comfortable building by yourself
A 12x12 with 8’ walls is the biggest I can do.
I’ve done 12x16 and 12x20 but it’s not comfortable 😅
@@ChrisSilverman I'm thinking about becoming a installer, I work in the shop. Do you think it's something you can make a living off of or is it supplemental income?
I make a decent living with it. I’m responsible for my own tools and truck and stuff but it’s a decent wage especially if I’m working 5 days a week.
