Thanks as always for sharing your knowledge. Please clarify on my below query.
What is the difference between non-lubricated vs lubricated plug valve?
I watched your dis-assembling video, it was really informative. But you haven't explained the purpose for injecting the grease.
How can grease help in improving the sealing capability of plug valve? Also, won't the grease contaminate the process medium?

Thanks for the comment. They are always appreciated. When it comes to a lubricated plug valves grease has to be injected in order for the valve to work properly. The grease is important and is what creates the seal. Without grease there is no seal and the valve will leak. Grease selection is dependent on the service medium and conditions. There are many variations of grease.
When it comes to the the non-lubricated plug valve the design changes completely. There is no grease required for the valve to seal. The plug will have an elastomer which will create the seal. The videos I have posted will give you a clearer picture of the components.
