I've never heard of Guy until Battle Scars ft. Lupa Fiasco started playing on the radio here. I love the song and had it stuck in my head all day today so came on here to listen to it and decided to listen to some of his other music and his voice is AMAZING!!!
Guy has a major gig at Hotel Cafe on June 7 in LA, tickets are selling now. He'll have to fly back to California as he had a major corporate gig this weekend in Australia. Going to be a tad busy
great band, the best. And what I love about Guy's performances, he is sort of freestyle. The band goes with him, and then he goes with the band, so they build a performance together. Never exactly the same :)

@prinia Right when I saw this comment I looked up his performance and I was already 10 minutes late. I grabbed my keys and took off to the venue and still caught a lot of his show and got to meet and take a pic with him afterwards, and it's all thanks to you!!!
Yep.. Steve HUGE fan of Guy's. Also Duck Dunn on bass, who said it was an honor to tour with Guy. Have a look at the drums and keys too! Then go get The Memphis Album, it's like an ultra Memphis sound, recorded there. Guys in the business would turn up just to listen & look at the young guy singing with the legendary band. Wish they could do another album together
think he will be in NJ around 26 July, hoping it will be livestream like that npr org one was through WXPN from Philadelphia. But someone might be able to see him? So far we've managed to get some little vids of most

He was on the keyboard, and he and the band freestyled, while he put all the key runs too. And he smiled or grinned throughout. Very different, totally gorgeous.

He's a little hampered right atm (but thats about to be fixed) because he has only Like It Like That album in the States, although The Memphis Album (and this song) is available on US iTunes. I believe a new CD this year will have most of his major hits PLUS new music, in fact a new single out soon, & prob. that CD will be released in the US, giving him proper scope to sing anything from his albums. jwipe also fan
