Partly because of his uncommonly good temperament, personality and choices, but also because he’s uncommonly blessed physically, not to mention talent-wise, but I’ll set aside the talent for this post. Barry was an ideal male specimen. He knew he was good-looking, but I don’t know if he knew he was ideal. But he just needs to leave that to the many women who would tell him he’s ideal! 1977...The first time since 1970 that Barry had no facial hair...(he had a fuman, or goatee for Cucumber Castle and had a full beard by Trafalgar). If I remember correctly... Barry attributed it to a shaving accident with his moustache and had to shave the whole face... he felt strange without it and grew it all back not long after. In 1985, for Fine Line...he did that on purpose and kept the sideburns for the role...but grew everything back shortly thereafter. So...this is rare!!
