Just down the road is Poblacion...hope you did not miss that..If you hiy the islands, don't skip on Minadanao: Camiguin. Siargao and Davao/Samal island.
Camiguin is my home province. A lot of development now going on like construction of a bridge in The Lagoon for safe haven when there’s typhoon for yatch from everywhere in Visayas and N. Mindanao and the destination for international cruise lines!
hi bare-foot watched quite a bit of your earlier vlogs in vietnam and thailand and now philippines - wow confidence oozes from you and its kinda contagious - take new ground - make new friends drink more beers and showcase the places & people come rain or high waters - cheers🍻
Well my friend just remember one rainy day in the Phillipines is still better than a sunny day in Miami. The balcony view was killer. Beer O'clock on the balcony. Stay safe out there.
Nice one. Next time visit Bario Fiesta Restaurant in Makati. They got singing waiters😀 a lot of Fun. If your going to Boracay. Make sure you stay at the Beachfront. Station 2 is a good place to stay. Red Coconut is also good to stay. Have a good one. Till your next Video. Stay safe.
Since your in makati hope you can also visit malls like glorietta and greenbelt( high end ).. and modern city nearby makati which is on BGC .. sure you ll enjoy it there! Safe travels!🇵🇭🙏🏻
been to Poblacion a few years ago, hope to be there again, every Nov they have parade for the Halloween if you are still here in PH you have to check it out
If you are into THAT kind of nightlife, then its the right street.. :D ..and the expats on Burgos Street they mostly have a little prefix to the word expat which I wont write here.. No wonder they didnt look to happy being filmed.. Other than that, there really is only that curiosity called "Filling Station" to see. For younger folks, who want to party, they tend to go to Poblacion - which is nearby - who has trendy bars and stuff, also most of the good quality hostels are there. Older and middle-aged foreigners, who want a very high standard of living, on par with the US, they just stay in their bubble BGC and Forbes Town.
Must be about Five thirtyv that you started this Video. I am in San Francisco. Lots of Pinoys here. It looks like Queens back in 1970. I remember the Smog inManhattan back then.
That is one tall hotel!! Too high up there for me! lol the people there are so nice and smiling most of the time. That restaurant look like an Americana bomb went off there. Great video. Thanks!! Incredible Mets win! That's why I love baseball!! Amazin' !!
Kumusta Barefoot ~ too bad you couldn't do a video of that apartment/condo/hotel B&B. Hahaha! 😂I know that pools at hotels usually aren't heated, but hot springs in Laguna are a different story! I hear you after visiting the Filling Station 50s diner-museum. It looks like a blast, but it seems like there's just so much going on and the music is non-stop, which can be overwhelming! If you're looking for something more authentic, you should try some Filipino restaurants like Kamayan, where you eat with your hands, ie roasted eggplant, grilled fish, etc., and enjoy traditional dishes. I believe they also have musicians playing a string instrument similar to the ukulele or mandolin called "rondalla," which means to serenade in Spanish. The rain is a bit of a downer! What other adventures does Mr. Barefoot have planned in Manila? Stay tuned! BTW, I hope they still sell a t-shirt that has a logo that says, "It's more fun in the Philippines!" 😍
Kumusta Elizabeth, yes the security in the building was incredible, armed guards roaming everywhere. Felt very safe but unnecessary. I love the food here. My favorite has to be the lechon, but I had a fish soup yesterday that was one of the best I've had. Stay tuned for more!
@@BarefootVlogger Absolutely, lechon! 😄 The last time I savored lechon was back in 2018. Cebu is famous for its lechon. In Manila it's Aling Mila's Lechon. Yup there's way too much unnecessary security around! 😆It's awesome to see you having a great time and sharing your experience with us! Maraming salamat po! 😃
Have a pleasant stay in Makati and be aware of your surroundings which I’m sure you do. That particular place filling station looks like NYC. Nice! Have a good night and day the next day. Cool. By the way, I’m a NY Yankees fan! 😄😊 👍👍🙌
Was your burger bloody as hell or burnt to a crisp? Also, was expecting you to get the $5 dollar milkshake. In which case I'd have asked if it were "Martin and Louis" or "Amos and Andy", lol.
ENJOY your stay in the Philippines and keep safe always.
My workplace rented Filling Station a few years ago for our Christmas party. Lotsa good memories at that place!
Glad to see The Filling Station busy. I always go every-time I visit Manila. It is a short walk from Rockwell's Power Plant Mall.
You gotta checkout Boracay. It's the nicest beach I have ever been to in my life (and I have been all around the Carribean)
Stay tuned
American Expat here, and that be my hood. Love Makati, I live there now.

Filling station looks like Coney Island meets Covette dinner with Mels Diner in Los Angeles. A bit overkill😅😅
Yep it looks a lot like the Chao Phraya in Bangkok maybe just not as many fancy hotels and malls along the river...

lol Somewhere in between brother, but it was good!
The Whole Metro Manila Including the Nearby Provinces has SMOG.... result of overdevelopment and many Transportation using fossil fuels.🤔
Burgos st. is a cheap red district.
