never forget Ernest Hemingway stayed at the Manila Hotel too. One of the ESPN writers covering the recent FIBA tourney this year specifically wanted the same room Hemingway stayed in because the McArthur suite is booked a year in advance. Trivia: the Manila Hotel's architect was American Daniel Burnham, who also was the architect of Baguio's Burnham Park.
Funny Hemingway seems to be following me. Aside from having my visits to Sloppy Joe's in Key West, he also stayed at the hotel where I had a drink on the rooftop in Havana. Excellent comment Luigi

Common trap for most tourists, remembering the KISS principle Keep It Simple Stupid. But when you're vlogging understandably you tend to fall into the trap of feeling like you're communicating with your audience instead of the person in front of you.
Such a great video Terry! I loved how you walked out of your room dressed in the robe and slippers, holding a can of beer in your hand, while everyone else was in suits and ties! I'm excited to see what's next!
Hello (Kumusta) Barefoot Vlogger! I really admire your video style. The Manila Hotel exudes elegance and truly transports you to another era. The female staff donned traditional gowns reminiscent of the Spanish period. My mom was honored with an award "Ulirang Ina" (Exemplary Mother award) at that venue many years ago! The detailed wooden carvings on that bench are characteristic of that time as well. You enjoyed an AMAZING breakfast! It almost resembles dinner food! The staff are exceptionally polite and welcoming. You got a taste of history too. So happy for you. Glad you're having a great time & more adventures to follow! Maraming salamat po for sharing your experiences with us. Onward & Upward! 😍😎😀CHEERS!
I love the traditional gowns! Wow, Elizabeth your mom had some great experience getting an award like that there. No higher honor than exemplary mother!

If am lucky enough to return to the Philippines once more, I will definitely stay at this hotel for at least three nights. I first visited in 1962 when I worked on the SS President Cleveland, and once more in 1989 on my honeymoon. I wonder if there is a library in the hotel?

Thanks for that info, missed the architect name Daniel Burnham in the video but recognized it in your comment for Baguio's Burnham Park.
He also designed the downtown Washington, DC that's why its quite similar to Luneta Park.
