It's so easy to over think it when there's so many great guns. 👍 I'm keeping it simple. I welcome any opinions 🙂 good or bad.

But if anything it should be better than other pistol-caliber rounds since rounds like the 9mm and 45acp are like 100 years old by now and they aren't designed to face modern threats 100 years ago, the 5.7mm is a newer round that was made to face the threats at its time (which is basically a modern threat until now, the russians)

@@AnthonyAllenJr I personally don’t like other bullpups and have heard bad things about Famas Aug L85 but the ones in the US that we can get our hands on that I’ve seen like the keltec RFD or RFB or the desert tech bullpup are apparently really bad. The Tavor I’ve had 0 troubles with except running steel ammo through it but that was just to test steel ammo I typically only have brass. A quick side note, apparently a gun called the hellion by Springfield has just recently came to the US so maybe that’s good but idk and the other one is Ukraine has a bullpup and it’s not the Tavor even tho the Ukrainians bought the right to build the Tavor they have another bullpup but pretty sure it’s banned in the US but their have been rumors that it’s super accurate and is in 7.62x39 and 5.45.

@@sandymilne224 my tavor is in 300 blackout and that’s extremely common around here for hog hunting and home defense but they primarily come in 556 and they make the Tavor 7 in 7.62x51.

Big bore revolver 100% rocking the straight cartridge. You can reload your brass easier.
If you only have 1 gun, your for sure reloading it.
You can turn your revolver into a shotgun too if your a skilled at reloading, you can hunt moose and big game, you can quick draw with practice.
That's the closest thing to the ultimate survivalist gun.
Weight, and size bring the limit at which you cut off. Once the gun can do what you want, get the short and smallest possible.
End result is a revolver only because shotgun is too heavy to edc

I'd suggest looking into .277 Fury guns. Not gonna lie it meets all of your requirements as a cartridge, just needs a gun built around it.

Although not main spread and still a wildcat, I’d probably go with a 12.5” .277 wolverine AR. 5.56 case necked to 6.8 rather than 7.62. While 300blk is great subsonic and decent supersonic, the wolverine is the other way around, designed as supersonic and decent to suppress subsonic

I guess I’d have to go with one I could get the most ammo. So either 9mm 5.56, or 12 ga. I have to say I’d go with my Mossberg 590 20”. Use bird buck and if I need to bring down something far away rifled slug. Downside is there’s only 8 in the tube.

Because of where I live, some calibers are harder to find than others, also long range is slightly more important for me (up to 500yds) so I think a 10-12inch semi auto in .308 fits me better, but otherwise I'd go for the exact same as him

If I could only have 1 it would be a pump action or semi shotgun. I’m a hunter first and foremost so I can bird hunt, deer hunt, and home defense.

  • @benm5913
    @benm5913 2 роки тому

My first thought is a pump shotgun. Remington 870. Enough for all my needs except ccw. If considering ccw, a larger bore revolver so that it can cover some hunting as well. 629 Competitors are beautiful, I'd might go that route. Then again, a 10mm semi auto would be a good choice in that realm. Tough choice.

I choose the Model of 1798 Springfield musket because that is how the founding fathers intended. It is quite useful for when ruffians break into mine estate. That or a cannon loaded with grapeshot, a jolly good pick, that.

What about doing something with a quick change barrel (not upper)? Technically still one gun I would say the bushmaster arc I live in Canada and it is one of few semi-autos that can take moose with it 450 bushmaster and you can swap it in 2-5min to 5.56, 6.8 sap and on and on. And 300 black out is. It the greatest moose caliber you would need to get close to get proper expansion.

Definitely not where I thought you were gonna go with that conclusion but honestly it does make sense.
For me, personally, I'd like a gun like maybe a Tavor or an MDR that have conversion kits so it's still technically the same gun but has access to a wider array of ammo types for various purposes, not to mention that the bullpup style of rifle while a little funky to us Americans who are addicted to our AR's (for good reason) still offer a good barrel length of 16-18 inches in a package roughly the size of a 10 inch ar so regardless of the round selected you're gonna get good effect out of the bullet.
Super awesome video and like I said initially definitley didn't think that was were you were gonna take it but what you said was well though out and I have to agree! Keep on rockin on man 🤙
