The Rise And Fall Of The Mad Titan, Nikador | Honkai Star Rail Lore

- In honkai star rail's amphoreus, we are introduced to 12 titans, the gods of the amphoreus world. Some represent the seas and the skies while others govern over fate. One such titans is the mad titan Nikador or better known as the titan of strife. The titan was once heralded as one of the 3 titans of calamity that brought war and strife to the world of amphoreus but since its corruption by the dark tide, the titan has acted in rather unpredictable ways.
In this video I want to discuss everything about Nikador the titan of strife from their rise and eventual fall and the meaning behind strife itself.
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Honkai Star Rail lore.
If you enjoyed the video or it has helped you in someway please feel free to like and subscribe and suggest in the comments whether there are any other videos you would like to see.

I don't want to sound like I'm "Um, actually" you, but the way you described this sounded like the Immortal body was Nikador's idea, it wasn't. Nikador was apparently dormant during the Kremnos festival, fighting the Black Tide (Which I guess means the black tide might also be spiritual or metaphysical in some way) according to Gnaeus. Also Nikador purposely cast off his reason when he realized he was going mad due to exposure of the Black Tide, hoping if his Reason survived, it could restore its sanity later.
Other than that great video and this gave a whole new meaning to strife. Gnaeus's sacrifice honestly stole the show for me despite all the other stuff that happened. the true Nikador is one of the coolest War Gods I've seen in recent fiction.
Nah no worries, its common for people to correct me on these things sometimes the way i present it does make it look a certain way (or i mightve just misintepreted things) but yeah youre right the way i worded it does make it sound like its wholly the titans idea but its generally nikador goes to fight the black tide, casts off its reason to ensure it doesnt get corrupted, kremnos gets worried and want to make them immortal, realize something is missing but its too late, their reason doesnt or couldnt return on its own and the incomplete nikador just does mad titan stuff. 😁
@@Maevix3142 Cool, just wanted to defend my boy Gneaus. I assumed it was a misspeak since you do seem to know the lore WAY more than I do.
I just didn't want to sound like a d!ck. Who'd you pick to saye farewell to in the Stellaron Hunter's Memory? I chose Kafka.
One thing that confuses me the most: "For a titan, nikador sure is pretty small...."
They should make him at least as big as phantyllia
That matters little or nothing, the emanators do not seem to have restrictions if they are large or human size or another alien race. The titans look like the 5 dragon masters who descended to protect and watch over the Alliance and one is Dan Heng and his ancestor when he arrived in Lofu.
I think it's also meant to show that these Titans may not be as powerful as even Emanators let alone Aeons.
I believe it's because that was the body crafted for Nikador by the followers of Kremnos using the same material they've used for Titankin. More than likely, Nikador's real body was perhaps much larger.
We've already seen how big they can be, thanks to both Kephale & the Time Titan (Oronyx?), so perhaps Nikador was much larger in its prime. Big enough to actually wield that big sword hanging over Castrum Kremnos
Like mydei said it's just 1/10 power.
Maybe its just different among the titans, kephale, aquila and oronyx look pretty massive but it could also be just a visual cue of how much they differ compared to the space gods being their a small version of them. I kinda like thinking that the giant blade of fury that hangs over castrum kremnos was made for Nikador's original size 😁
Blood Runs...
Anger Rises...
Death Wakes...
War Calls!
I have no idea why, but despite not sharing any color or design similarities, Nikador reminds me so much of Khaela Mensha Khaine.
Both also workshiped and hated by their follower
Man they nail it with Chad Gnaeus
Gnaeus was a pretty likeable character to me, might be kinda straightforward but I like that little death scream he does before being reabsorbed back in to the rest of nikador
Thank you for making another amazing video
I think the name “strife” gave a negative connotation (maybe it’s just me). In game, I need to actively replace with “fair competition” to remember that the titan is not an evil titan, but a necessary part of life.
I always thought that Mydei has the resemblence to Ares but now it's Nikador having more similarties to Ares more than anything
@@idontspeakjapanese6289 yeah but Nikador embodies the positive aspects of a war god while Ares is typically war, violence and bloodlust. Athena was also a war god but had reason and courage as her domains (according to some Greek philosophers)
Nikador seems to be a combination of the 2 but with a focus on how conflict shape and build a person(s).
Speaking of Mydei having a resemblance to Ares, feel like hes the one to end up inheriting the coreflame by the end.. might have video about that soon 😂
GNAEUS THE GOAT
Gnaeus The Scar
Wish Hoyo done more show and less tell, the story is great but they full of black screen and lack of animation, the presentation of it inferior to 2.0 and that is bad. The fact voices are still missing also lack. And the lack of environment made all look the same or made so story is told with the back of main character, so they dont have to anime any face expression, so no matter how good story is , if hoyo don't improve there delivery people will get bored and lose interest on it. And that is the problem with 3.0.
I guess one of the reasons is saving on resources, actual scenes and animations vs texts on a black screen. Agree those screens are just too much though, Limitations of being a mobile gacha game I guess. I really like the story and wish it would've been a 50+hr rpg pc/console game instead.
@DefinitelyNotaHertaPuppet well being mobile is no longer the excuse anymore as most phones are better then my laptop
@@DefinitelyNotaHertaPuppetIt’s a multi billion dollar company wdym “saving resources”
@@orangenade3707the higher ups probably allocated a limited fund for the hsr team, and they cant exceed that, or at least thats how i think it works
@@durd320 Every company does that yet there are companies who have way less money compared to hoyo and make much better games there is no excuse
Hiii
Helluuu
I skip all ingame yap. I get the lore from channels
You don't play much RPGs do you😅
You'd Hate Persona games then.
I kinda skip for zenless when I realize it might not have any critical lore, but for story I tend to not skip since im really into these games for the story mostly, but I get some would rather get right into the game which is fine as well 😁
