I love this video! I did this trip with family years ago. We took my brother's International Scout and cooked ham biscuits wrapped in foil by tucking them above the exhaust manifold of his engine. 5 mile drive = breakfast! Great memories. My dad has some gorgeous photos of Mabry Mill and we loved the art center too!! Thanks for taking me back for the ride. I definitely have to plan another trip immediately. Safe travels!
WOW, really GREAT video, I know it takes a lot of work, but I/We can sure see it in the end product. Love the Blue Ridge Parkway. RUSSOS, Well done and thank you for sharing. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
This is so cool. New viewers here, already subscribed, and I love every video. We drove "under" the B.R.P. on the '26' when we moved from So. California to N. Carolina back in 2020. We're semi permanent residence of N.C., having lived here for 3 years, now in Kannapolis. We're both "semi" retired and want to follow your path... on the road, and somewhat "off the grid". Don't have a vehicle yet, still looking, still deciding. But we love what you do and where you go. Our goal is to be traveling by 2024. Thanks again you two... love your work.
Finally, the 2023 Ford Transit Trail van is announced recently. Should be interesting updated camper van manufacturer updates using this van. Lessen dependence on the M brand
Thank you, Joe and Kate. I found your channel looking for the MB Storyteller video. I am in the market for a Class B RV with four wheel or all wheel drive capability. As you were pointing out all of the vehicle's features I couldn't help enjoying the video. I lived in Richmond, VA, and often hiked along the parkway trails. The BRP Is one of the most beautiful drives in America. Where you ended the video just a few miles into the Shenandoah NP is a rustic cabin on the east side of the parkway called Doyle's Cabin. Several of us in a Meet Up group rented it for a week end. It is well worth the stay giving you great hikes, waterfalls and epic views. The park rangers are awesome people. Great video!
You ended your video just a few miles from my home in the western Maryland mountains! I guess you missed seeing elk near the southern end of the BRP. The northern end is always chock full of Whitetails. Those are great fun to watch. Swing along there sometime following the fall colors south. It’s breathtaking! Thanks for great video.
Used to live near the Parkway. Cool hikes and beautiful vista's. Lol. Don't think our Huge Rig can make it. Interesting dinner. Enjoyed it. Thanks Safe travels.
Evidently , I seen you guys at Walmart. Actually your Van. We passed by in our super sweet Promaster Campervan. If I had seen you guys in person, I'd have recomended going to see the Brown Mountain Lights. The Brown Mountain Lights are an unexplained phenomen. They're like spook lights, spirit lights or ghost lights. (Marfa Texas has the Marfa Mystery lights which are similar.) Brown Mountain Lights are right off the BRP in Marion, NC. Close to the Linville Falls and Wiseman's View. It Iwas about 28 miles from where you were at Walmart. We use our Campervan to go find spooky stuff and there's some things on the BRP that are interesting. Sweet Van. 🙂
Happy Birthday, Lady Kate! I love the Blue Ridge and glad y’all got to enjoy it, too. Kate, your hair is getting so long...very pretty! Really cool trip. Thanks for bringing us along! (Jane from SC)❤🙏🏻
Thanks for the video of my favorite road trip. The views are amazing and never get old. The Blue Ridge Parkway was the first long trip I took in my Storyteller last year … all 469 miles. I took 3 weeks to complete it and enjoyed every moment. The end… same as you. I was expecting confetti and a high five. 😂. Had to do my own celebration as it was just that good.
Enjoyed the video. We often wanted to travel it in our RV and noticed that it can't just be a side trip to a bigger trip as the start and finish locations don't conform to most snowbird routes to FL on the way or coming back. We have struggled to decide on our next rig from class A, B, C, or even another travel trailer. I think A, B, and C is a good option if on the smaller nimble side, often counter-intuitive to the snowbird big rig. Our travel trailer is 23' but needs updating to something more like a 26-30' Class A. We still camp host and work camp full-time (since 2008) so nimble isn't always defined the same way by us as everyone else. Our camp host sites have no power so when parked for 6 months out come the 400-watts of ground-mounted solar so we can run our computers and all the financial reports of managing the 13 USFS campgrounds in our CO district. Wherever we go comes with our manual pole saw and pruners as we know about the low-hanging branches that love to eat RVs, LOL. Thanks for the future memories for when we do the Blue Ridge Parkway ourselves. ;-) Dave & Sheila
You are my favorite travel van channel. Please don’t change and make it commercial and so many ads…..hopefully at the end of next year I will have my van and this will be on my bucket list
Always an excellent adventure to ride along with The Russo's Road Trips. Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and Valleys and all in between. So, yes it's not a fabulous finish line... but hey... you made it!! CONGRATULATIONS!! 👏🏾🚐🏞️🛣️⛰️🌫️ !! Thank you for sharing....Safe and Happy Travels!! *Vandie 🚐 Van Wings 🦋*
Have not been there for years but your video brought back some good memories! Thanks! We now have our Storyteller Mode LT, Lucy, and have been camping with her in our home state of Oregon. This summer will travel north to Glacier and Canada but eventually would like to tour the east again.
The Blue Ridge Drive is gorgeous. Has been a long time since we have been there. Happy Birthday, Lady Kate. It is much more fun to take your time if you can. The Mill was definitely worth staying the night and going back. Mary 💕Fred
I spent nearly 20 years around the Blue Ridge Parkway. I left the area about 25 years ago but still go back to visit every 2 or 3 years. I was there just a few months ago visiting the peaks of otter. I went up to complete a hike of sharp top mountain in Bedford Virginia. Peak fall color should be in just a week or 2 and it is amazing. You guys would probably love the Apple picking there's a lot of that going on up there too. There are a number places to get Apple butter and Apple wine. I'm glad you got to see my old neighborhood I hope you enjoyed your trip.
Hello Joe and the illustrious Lady Kait! Just a reminder that we don’t need a piece of paper to tell us the Kait is Royalty. Those of us that adore her have known this for many years. LOL! Great video! 😀
Welcome to my part of the world! Glad you enjoyed just a taste of what NC has to offer. My question is where is everybody? The Parkway is usually swarmed with people! You got to visit it in a less hectic time like holidays and fall colors.
Really really enjoyed this video. Happy birthday, Kait! I feel this is your best video in a while, going back to your roots - documenting your travels, food, humor and fantastic views! Thank you for sharing!
You are bring back memories from a week and half ago, the difference is the leafs were at peak of color❤ , this week I did the natchez Parkway going south and they are at peak colors! On a side note; I sold my 2021 Sprinter 4x4 and now have a 2022 Transit awd, plus I order scheel-Mann seats all because of you! So thank you 😊
Nice scenic views from the rooftop. So glad you provide those views. The shower scene was a different idea but provided an insight into how this kind of van shower actually works with respect to the water temp
Happy birthday Lady Kate! What a cool gift! Nice to travel this with you. Lovely even with fall weather and rain. Nice to see how you handle finding places to stay. Would love to see more of that part of van life. Thanks!
Nice video on the BRP. I'm fortunate to live 2 hours from a section and visit it frequently. I have done most if not all of the BRP, just not contiguously. Note the section you missed southwest of Asheville has the highest point along the BRP (just over 6000 ft), easily accessed waterfalls, and popular hiking trails.
This was a fun one. Great to see a travel video from you two. Beautiful scenery. Lady Kait has a nice ring too it. I’ll be sure and visit The Mill for sweet potato pancakes.
Happiest Birthday to you Lady Kait! SO miss you guys! Looks like a fab trip! Thanks for documenting and sharing with us! Miss these! May the road continue to rise up and meet you. ☺️ - Kim, Jay & Cora
You were in my neck of the woods, I live less than two hours from the parkway, we go every year, mostly during fall, the leaves are beautiful. I enjoyed your video visiting familiar places.
What a great episode. Everything was filmed right and edited right 😂that’s funny that joe got misty on him I will be coming out with some more episodes on my channel soon 🔜. have a great day Lincoln
Haha, I did the same thing with my toilet but after I had peed. I went to flush it, the pressure had built in the heat. I got more than a mist on my bare butt! Shower time!
Welcome! We say Appalachian with short “a “ sound throughout. When your 3rd “a” is long it’s a dead giveaway you are “some kinda yank.” Lol. That Storyteller looks like a great van for lots of driving! Go to Grandfather Mountain! Wait, what is a mode?
The Parkway is a wonderful thing for NC and VA. Thanks to Roosevelt’s Civilian Conservation Corp and other private contractors, we are blessed with this great road.
We live next to the parkway in Roanoke VA. Unfortunately in the section currently closed. If you make a similar trip you should visit Floyd VA. The red rooster roasters make some world class coffee. Also did you get over to Polyface Farms? It's not far from the upper end of the parkway. Safe travels wherever you go!
Hi guys! I knew you guys would make it! As always great to see you and not least new places. I always google about places you visit. You never stop inspiring us! And one more thing. I honestly don't know what was best about this video, the good vibe, the amazing scenery or the music. Already looking forward to the next video!
I hope you got to see at least a little bit of Roanoke! We love it here. The overlook from Mill Mountain over the city is beautiful and the Star is really fun! We love living so close to the Parkway - there are a surprising number of good boondocking spots off of forest service roads that connect to the parkway, we've stayed in several this fall 😎
Enjoyed this video very much. The Blue Ridge Parkway scenery is so beautiful! Since you enjoyed the grist mill, you might enjoy Spring Mill State Park not too far from you in Indiana.😊
Nice video. Glad you took the time to enjoy the views and park shops. Happy Birthday My Lady. I had the chance to drive the parkway but was advised not to because of the hight of my transit van at 9’11”. The a/c on the roof made it to high. One question, do you like the mountains with trees or red rocks of out west?
I've been to the Mineral Museum - very neat place to visit. When you are in Virginia/Eastern Kentucky check out the The Breaks Interstate Park and camp.
White rice, a can of sardines in olive oil, jalapenos, soy sauce... spaghetti sauce? Gasp, he's pregnant!... hehe Happy 21st birthday Milady Kate. ;)
Love the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were lucky enough to see a mama bear and her cub !
Kate's hair grew out fast!
My husband and I always enjoy you two and your videos. Kait, your hair is beautiful! We appreciate your hard work in bringing us good content.
Thank you Deborah
I love this video! I did this trip with family years ago. That is awesome! Love how you were cooking those biscuits!
Joe is NOT a mineral. JOE IS A GEM! Great video!! Really enjoy watching you two travel in your Camper Van. Toilet 🚽 mist 😂
WOW, really GREAT video, I know it takes a lot of work, but I/We can sure see it in the end product. Love the Blue Ridge Parkway. RUSSOS, Well done and thank you for sharing. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

Ah, this is what I like. I tend to skip the RV reviews, but I love to see the travels.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great. Thanks
Ironically, as the video started, I was thinking back to when Kait's hair was really short... great video, thanks for the tour.
Thanks for watching!

Wow! Kait’s hair is so long! I must have been gone awhile. Nice to see you on the Blue Ridge Parkway!
JOE!!! That Rice dinner oh my! (insert Puke face emoji - LOL). Nice and inspiring trip y'all! We hope to be there in 2023!
Used to live near the Parkway. Cool hikes and beautiful vista's. Lol. Don't think our Huge Rig can make it. Interesting dinner. Enjoyed it. Thanks
Safe travels.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the tip on the port a pot. It look's like a great trip for a fall when the trees change . Safe travels to you keep the videos coming.
You’re welcome Scott
Literally my honeymoon trip haha! Cool to see we stopped at the same places y'all did. Driving this in the fall was wonderful.
Blue ridge parkway looks like a fun trip
Made me homesick, I used to live close by in Jefferson, NC
Loved this trip, reminded us of the old videos. Happy belated Birthday Kait!!
Loved this video. Felt just like the older ones that got me hooked - you two, being yourselves, traveling the country in your Class B.

Have fun! Glacier is great and there is a lot of good boondocking around the park
So glad you made the trip back yo the mill. My family is from that area an is beautiful country. Sade travels.
We just drove from the south end north and drove the entire parkway, and we hit the peak of fall colors, it was magnificent
We’ll have to go see them next time
The Blue Ridge Drive is gorgeous. Has been a long time since we have been there. Happy Birthday, Lady Kate. It is much more fun to take your time if you can. The Mill was definitely worth staying the night and going back. Mary 💕Fred

What a beautiful trip! 優秀作品!
Absolutely loving your views!!! So incredibly beautiful! Happy birthday Lady Kait! Thanks for a great video!!!
Welcome to my part of the world! Glad you enjoyed just a taste of what NC has to offer. My question is where is everybody? The Parkway is usually swarmed with people! You got to visit it in a less hectic time like holidays and fall colors.
We’ve found the shoulder seasons are the best…plus we were there during the week

I didn’t know what Kait would do when I took the phone into the shower 🤣
@@Weretherussos most would probably say that video shot in the shower violates rules of marriage 101.
best tip of the day I did not know I needed to know lol
Sounds like a nice journey...and you and that coffee🤣🤣...Travel safe.
Love my Java!
VA was glad to have ya!!
Happy birthday Lady Kate! What a cool gift! Nice to travel this with you. Lovely even with fall weather and rain. Nice to see how you handle finding places to stay. Would love to see more of that part of van life. Thanks!
hope you visited Mabrys Mill, and take a horseback ride in shenandoah.

I LOVE your long hair, Cait!!!
So happy to see you are back to making a travel video! Enjoyed it.
More to come!
Ha!
The Mode is the model Storyteller
Beautiful trip! I have traveled it several time.
Great video thx for sharing not sure we would drive it in our class A mh.
You could always get a campground and bring a car or rent one
I lived in NC for a while and never heard of Blue Ridge, Dang it, what a miss :)
Nihao Lady Kait! Hope you had a terrific birthday!
So sorry we weren’t “around” to welcome y’all and share a cup of coffee. We were off on our own 7000 mile trip around the country.
Rocky Knob! Our closest campground - we were just there over Labor Day.
Sorry we missed y’all!
We were on the Parkway this weekend, too. I wish we'd have seen you! It was just past peak, but still gorgeous! ❤️🙏Jane in SC (Stay safe!)
That would have been fun!
What a beautiful trip and relaxing vibe to this video. Really enjoyed it a lot. Kait, your hair is so pretty. I wish our Packers were doing better.💚💛
Thank you!
Hi guys! I knew you guys would make it! As always great to see you and not least new places. I always google about places you visit. You never stop inspiring us! And one more thing. Beautiful!! I would love to do that drive on a motorcycle!!!! Been on it a few times but never did the whole drive.
Same here. One day!
I did it on a motorcycle and it was great!! Camped in little Switzerland
I hope you got to see at least a little bit of Roanoke! We love it here. The overlook from Mill Mountain over the city is beautiful and the Star is really fun! Enjoyed this video very much. The Blue Ridge Parkway scenery is so beautiful! Since you enjoyed the grist mill, you might enjoy Spring Mill State Park not too far from you in Indiana.😊
Thanks it’s on our list
Isn’t 0 the starting point ? The end point is where the confetti and balloons are 🎉😊
You would not have a problem with your transit. We love both. They’re so different
It would not be a We're the Russos video without Joe saying..."We need to make coffee"
So true…
I've been to the Mineral Museum - very neat place to visit. When you are in Virginia/Eastern Kentucky check out the The Breaks Interstate Park and camp.
Thanks - we’ll add it to the list
Joe, you gotta start working out. Get some dumbbells and start doing pushups and eat lean meats and salmon.
Shenandoah is my back yard 🎉😊🎃
In the evening it’s great for deer watching
Hope you got time in Winchester Virginia.
We didn’t but we’ll have to swing in next time
