- Finding gold rings with a metal detector. Even though I'm using the Equinox 800 to demonstrate the numerical value of gold rings any good quality detector will find rings.
Most important note:
You must dig the signals just above and below the US nickel to find the majority of the lost gold rings, bracelets and necklaces.
I watch this over and over before I go hunt and yes, I have found so many rings thanks to you. I got a 1910 3 stone Emeral 18k ring 7" using Nox 800 $5000 ring came up 17 ID
It was size 13 men ring at 14 grams
Direct and straight to the point. One of the best tutorials I have seen. Many thanks!
Point well-made Mark! My brother and I have seen these same results with our 800s on the beaches of Galveston, Tx- so we dig every target including some that have given iron grunts with gold ring results! Great demo and good luck with future hunts!
Great info and to the point, I love that you don’t blow my ears out with loud intro music that has nothing to do with detecting.
Awesome video about finding gold rings!, now i own a Equinox 600 and i don't hunt the parks or fields, but i hunt the beaches and have found alot of rings at the beach, but alot of the rings i have found, 14k have read 17,18,20,could be the shape size, and weight, so i dig everything, again great video.
Thanks for the vid Mark, over here in Aussie I regularly dig pull tabs that range between 11 and 16 depending on the tab style. They usually give you a double beep when swinging in one direction and a small ironish grunt swinging in another. I make sure to slowly rotate around the target while slowly swinging. Im sure this is not news to you but may help another.
Cheers Mark, subbed.
Dang, looks like I have to dig everything.
Appreciate your effort, saving me much time my friend.
The key to remember is dig all nickel signals.
Thank you I'm new to the sport and have the Equinox 800 and have learn a lot from this video about the values of the gold rings I will start digging the lower signals for sure now Thanks again.
This video just made me feel better as I have the NOX 600 and can't do any of the advanced accept/regect and tone settings. I wanted to block everything from nickel down...but now I've changed my mind. I guess the 600 is ok again. Lol Thanks for the video.
Goes to show you dig everything!
Excellent, step by step, with clear speaking. Thx a lot buddy.
Awesome hunt!! Love my nox 800 wouldn’t trade it for anything else right now!! GL&HH!!
Thank you for the tutorial. I've been hunting and hunting.
Can you try this again with Iron bias set at different levels and see if it makes any difference with the beaver tail?
I found a 24k half soveriegn on my 4th time metal detecting with the Equinox 800 , and complete with gold chain ! If I remember correctly it came up as 8/9 on beach mode
Very nice, I love finding gold.
Congratulations.
@@markg6836 only thing is i could do a lot more but i get a lot of people looking at me and i dont like attention so i get to shy to go when the beach is busyand aim for sunrise lol
Great video on rings and nickels
As always. Very well done Mark!
HELLO MARK WOULD THE HORSE SHOW BUTTON MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Thanks! I wish I'd seen this several years back.
I always enjoy watching knowledge sharers
Excellent video very informative. I am looking at getting an 800 so I will be saving a link to your videos.
Thanks for the kind comments
Good vedio!! Just get my nox 800 why on the beach machine make too much noise like u find something but there is no target?
Please help
Can you put setting on gold and see what # it shows
Thanks a lot for sharing a very informative video ! I always enjoy and learn much from your videos 👌🏼
Great job sir! Ty for the educational video. I will be trying this today. I will get with you with my first ring.
I have the 600. You think I'm going to get the same readings with it on Park 2 mode??? And thanks for the video
When you have your ground balance and threshold set at 0 do you loose any depth?
If the ground is not highly mineralized I don't see any depth loss.
Mark Gillespie Thank You
very educational video bro' merry xmas and happy hunting in the new year.
You should point out that the trash has a different sound than the rings. To me trash has a whistle quality to it while rings sound solid. Clive's Equinox books are worth reading.
where you been?
Excellent video!
This will be a huge help. Thank you!
The question is, is it worth digging the trash?
The tone on that pull tab sounds different even though the numbers the same
Thanks fr this very helpful information.
always top-notch no matter what machine you are explaining. discriminate outside of the ground you can either throw it away or go to the jewelry store your choice.
Do you use other detectors or do you favor the Nox 800 as I do I really love it
I presently have the Equinox, Fisher F75 LTD and the White's TDI. The Equinox is my go to most of the time but it depends on the ground conditions and site.
have you got a video on silver ?
Sorry but at this time I don't
Thanks Mark. Gr8 video
Wow great info! That’s park 2 with no changes?
My question as well.
You need to also move the coil up and down on the target including side to side. By doing that, that will give you a different tone. It can help you differentiate from pull tabs to coins and so forth. I'm not an expert at all but, just advising.
Very insightful and valuable thank you sir.
Excellent video 😊 Thanks
Wow! Thank you Sir! Thats a great help.
