Well, apparently Kinder Scout does have it's own Microclimate, I've since found out. Which explains the variation in weather. Maybe Clouds of Death is a good name for a band? Or maybe one of your future tunes?
the tent set up looks awesomely maniac - i did not envy you there. I did a high camp recently and it did not really make me feel happy at all. I don't think i want to do any more. Just the high levels of stress for me is already part of my life and work . i just want to be in nature for a night under the stars. In saying that, a recent camp that i stayed at a few weeks ago has a massive tree now about 10 feet away from where i camped, so safety can be bad no matter what
Hey mate. Yeah it was manic, but I do enjoy those challenging conditions. Just got to stay safe out there. Scary about that tree. You just never know do you? Thanks so much for watching mate.
Recognise that camp spot was there a couple of weeks ago... Looked like u were trying to pitch a flimsy plastic bag in that wind.. Real fun vid.. Enjoyed watching the drone footage Mark. 👍
Yeah I saw that vid mate. Ha ha, it really does look like a flimsy bag. It's incredible how strong it is though. We great fun mate...beer helped of course. Glad you enjoyed it mate. See you soon.
Thanks matey. Was good fun and the video came out quite humorous I thought. The bit where you say "I want to go home" makes me chuckle every time. Do you think ultralight glamping is a thing? 🤷
Thanks matey. Glad you enjoyed it. Oooo house renovations, I bet you haven't got much time for much else. I don't have much time myself atm. Maybe we can try and get out in the New Year if things are bit easier for you pal. Maybe a Wales camp or something.
A heroic outing, well done on enduring the storm!. You guys really put both tents through their paces. What quilt were you using and what temperature do you find it works down to?
Thanks mate, was really good fun. I do enjoy the odd stormy camp. Both tents did really well. I'm using the Enlightened Equipment Enigma 850FP 20F. I used it all through last winter and took it down to about -6, although I was a tad cold and was fully downed up. I also paired it with another sleeping bag one evening, just to make sure I was warm. It's a great quilt, but I might get one rated to lower temperatures for the winter.
No yet mate, although they are releasing one soon. They are hoping to get it out this year, starting with the 1 person version. I will be buying for sure.
@@JackPearce-kj6fp Ah yeah, I've had my eye on the Notch Li for a while. I don't think you can go wrong with either tbh, but the Middus is exceptionally good in the wind....well at least the 2p version is.
@ do you ever have a problem finding a pitch with it as it is of course larger than the Notch? I prefer the look of the Middus due to the length and added head room.
Not sure why the dark clouds were hugging you but the Clouds of Death sounds like a cool name for something. Great adventure! 💨

Ahhhh, a typical autumn evening in the peaks...😜...fair play to you for soldiering on in adverse conditions 👍🏻
Typical for a summer evening too. 😂 Was great fun tbh. Although the beer did help somewhat. Hope you're well mate.
@@trickofthetrail I'm good thanks buddy, I'm just off to Scotland to take part in the OMM with my mate, wish us luck... we're going to need it 🤣
@@trooperwolfie Oooo good luck mate. That will be great fun. I'd like to do it one day. Hope the weather isn't too shite for you. 😬

Like the funny banter with you guys as always, abit of piss taking makes it fun. 😊
You should see the bits that didn't make it to the final cut! It's just constant abuse out there! 😂

Nice work mate, really well done. Some good shots of that crazy storm.
I reckon we should give glamping a go.

Enjoyed this one fella ... so busy at the moment renovating the house ... need to get out !

Great video Mark- what is it with you and hail stones!!!
Loved the editing and music
Thanks matey. Yeah those flipping hail stones. It did remind me of our stormy camp at Margery Stones. Makes it good fun though hey.

Great stuff Mark. Character building stuff and a good rest of your kit!
Thanks David. Was really good fun. Glad you enjoyed it. The kit held up pretty well.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting mate.
Do you ever feel like a DCF tent, drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?
All the time mate. 😂 Hopefully I'm not quite as noisy though.
I'm impressed you got it up, and it stayed up all night
@@mrwilliamstravels That's what Viagra is for mate!! 🍆
Great video 👍 enjoyed watching 👍
Thanks Steve. Glad you enjoyed it mate. Look forward to your next vid. 👍
Do bonfus make a 4 season inner?

@@trickofthetrail Cheers Pal. Torn between the Notch Li and the Middus 1P, the solid inner could make it more interesting for me being in the UK.
