In maharashtra in my caste which is Normadic, still marraige in same group of family is not allowed(Wadebhau means whos MulPurush with Gotra is same, those families are not allowed to marry within family group)
Now i am more proud to be a brahmin. Our ancestors knew the science behind why we should not marry within same gotra .
Bharat and China were 2 major economies for last 2000 as per pew studies. From islam to Christians, everybody tried their level best but could not succeed.
If we marry completely according to Sanatan Dharma, then we are prohibited from marrying within the gotras of seven generations on our mother's side and seven generations on our father's side, in those gotras because all the customs and rituals of Sanatan Dharma are based on science. But nowadays only the maternal Gotra and the father's Gotra are avoided.

Colour of the skin is a natural adaptation for the survival in a climatic zone. More exposure to sun more tanning which became a permanent feature over generations.
