@MC Cooper I think he meant that despite how coldhearted and ruthless his family can be, the fact that they seem to understand killua's feelings for alluka shows how impactful the scene is. He has veteran fighters and assassins like tsubone in tears due to his commitment to his sister.

Out of my top 5 scenes Killua is the center of 3 of them. Gon may embody the spirit of this anime, but I feel like Killua is it's heart. Which is ironic because he's an assassin lol.
@Boros Vita he hasn't lost it and just needs to regain it and gon isn't a sociopath dumbass, he is just like an ordinary kid just above them in mind and body. He cares for his friends and doesn't care much about random people to get to his goal but he does try his best. In the chimera ant arc his anger was justifiable, this version didn't pick much on kite and gon's relation where as the 1999 version literally started with kite and gon's dynamics.
If one's father/brother figure is brutally murdered, tortured and used as a plaything no one's going to care for a random stranger like komugi.
So many idiots on internet shit on gon for this when he wasn't in the wrong. That's why gon is better than other protagonists out there, he actually has dark times and suffers and he does act his age, he learns from his mistakes too.
Gon is an amazing character and thus mob thinking of sitting on him for acting the way he should have pisses me off.

Other than that all his actions are pretty justifiable since the only things he does is kill pitou and make a personal sacrifice. At most Gon is a 14-year-old fighter doing what he knows best. His actions seem worst than they are due to the viewer comparing them to how his previous actions and not the actions of the world around him. your analogy falls a bit flat because if a 14-year-old boy threatened an innocent person they'd get counseling and juvie not jail since they learning. You keep saying "those who stoop to that level" as if Gon murdered families when what he actually did was do his job as a hunter and avenged kite. He may have said some hurtful things but again he's 14.
Justin Hutchinson No one said that Gon’s unredeemable. I just said his actions aren’t justifiable. If someone randomly came up to you and punched you in the face just b/c he was emotional, would that be justifiable? No. It’s redeemable and can be forgiven, but not justifiable/reasonable. Same with Killua. His past actions aren’t either. And it’s not like he or the story doesn’t constantly remind the audience or himself of that fact every moment.

one thing I love about H X H is that the story never pretends that Ging isn't a shitty Dad.
Man i was crying like a baby on that killua and something scene, i hope if they continue the anime that they will have more interactions to something, such a poor thing she give wishes and heals anyone by request and she just wanted to be loved back by his own family 😭
Even if Ging is a bad father, he deserves respect as a hunter, from the advice he gave Gon, you can tell he's been through a lot. And yes, he's one of the best nen users in the world so he could beat an entire room of hunters.
I like that the manga shows just how strong Ging is. Good thing the manga continues the story
I honestly don't think Ging is necessarily a bad father, he cares about Gon's well-being enough at least. Gon looked about 1 or 2 when Ging brought him to Whale Island so he at least took care of him until that time, gave him to someone he knew would take care of Gon because he probably knew he wasn't cut out to take care of a child and well taking care of a child would mean he'd have to stop being a hunter which we knows means the world to him. A good hunter he is but a father he wasn't cut out for.
He's definitely a bad father. He had this idea of how Gon would turn out. But he didn't have any part of it besides not being there. He cares about him, sure. But his fathering is just plain poor

Killua is the best friend and brother anyone could have ask for.
Togashi doesn't get enough props for always anticipating audience reactions and questions to scenes and then having characters in-universe react the same way or ask the same questions. This goes back to Leorio thinking Killua's mom was emotionally hurt by his attack.
I love Pariston in this episode. Finally wins the election just to resign and give it to the person who hates him and has been combatting him the most. You see his terrifying side in his threat to Cheadle, but that touch of humanity he gives when he speaks about Netero says so much about his character and his actions. He truly loved Netero, he loves the association Netero built, and his goal was just to ultimately honor it and cherish it.
For such a bombastic, action-packed show, HxH speaks just as loud in its quieter moments. Nobunaga grieving Uvo, Killua aknowledging that Gon saves him from the life he would have led had he never met him, and especially the end of this episode, which I would say ties for my favourite scene of the series with Gon and Killua confronting Pitou.
You guys should watch “erased” I feel like you guys would really like it

Imon understood Pariston's character with the quickness, meanwhile Abby still sees things as black and white, thinking he's just a typical power hungry creep. (But her surprised reaction towards the end of his scene makes me think Pariston's character finally sank in).
Also incase you guys may have missed it, but the one that told Tsubane to withdraw Killua's restraints at the end was their mother's orders. So she may not be purely bat shit crazy of a mum after all ^^

I feel like the anime didn't catch the sadness of Pariston for Netero death, yes, he is a jerk, but he really liked the Chairman, he just wanted to have fun and make sure his job were in good hands
What do you mean sadness? I interpreted that scene to mean that Pariston was not sad because Netero died, he was sad because he could no longer enjoy messing with him. In other words, he was sad only because he was no longer able to enjoy a hobby of his, not because he cared for Netero as a person.
but just imagine... when killua said “will you forgive me for being a bad big brother?” its so heartbreaking because he knows... he knows better than anyone what its like having bad big brothers and terrible siblings. he knows how much it can hurt getting manipulated and played by his family. just imagine how horrified killua was in that moment and how terrifying the thought of hurting alluka is to him. he just wants alluka to heal and find happiness. he wants freedom from his family for himself and alluka. killua is just so /good/ it hurts :( both killua and alluka dont deserve the cruel life they were born into :(

Seeing how far Killua has come, being able to give happiness to others the way Gon gave happiness to him ALWAYS gets me.
He was able to become the light that he initially thought was too bright for him during the CA arc, for others.
He's easily one of my favorite characters in a series full of absolutely fantastic characters.

I find killua to be not only the most complex character with the most development and realistic human emotions but I also find him to be the most relatable character he started the show not having a purpose not knowing what he wanted to do with this life and what made him happy he slowing found it through gon who was the light that showed him there was better but when gon went dark killua realized he couldn’t stay with him and protect him like that forever it’s really sad but I find it relatable because I’m 18 also not knowing what I want to do with my life or what it has in store for me but I’m doing what I like and just going with what happens just like he does cause he even said he makes decisions in the moment

Alluka is a trans-kid, that expalins this whole episode. Is not such an obvious metaphor but any trans-kid will be able to identify with it, I think.
This really is an oversimplification. Nanicka and Alluka are separate personalities. Nanicka is male and Alluka is female. MPD where a personality manifest as the opposite sex isn't the same thing as Being transgendered. Although it is possible for a personality to have gender dysphoria.

The ending was writing from the heart and soul. You can apply it to your own life. In this era more and more peopl e become insecure about themselves. Learning to truly love yourself and accepting yourself for what you really are is a hard task. It’s only hard when the people around you keep pointing it out whether they know it or not it’s a sort of manipulation. When alluka said if you gonna LOVE ME you also gotta LOVE SOMETHING. That applies to everything in your life and the relationship you want to build. If that means you walk a lonely road for 10 years until you find those who accept ALL of you so be it.

Fun fact: Gings character is actually based on yusuke from yu yu Hakusho. So if his character is infuriating and you’re wondering if he’s a good guy and all that it helped me understand his character more by knowing that. If Yusuke and Keiko grew up and had a kid their kid would be Gon.

Okay so I assumed you guy’s watched the last two episodes, if not then SPOILERS. I can see some very interesting development in the upcoming future with Killua and Alluka . When Alluka was yelling at Killua to protect something too, Killua had to of understood the danger of what this could bring. I also believe that though Killua broke through Illumi’s control to run away from danger, that is still his natural reaction to do when faced with great danger so if he can’t hold his promise to protect alluka and something then theirs going to be some unfolding happening. 😱
Even Ging Freecs is shookt by Pariston Hill's trolling art. Some people say that Pariston Hill is the Donald Trump in our real world. I'd say, no. Pariston has a strong veneer for diplomacy. Donald Trump has none. It is an insult to Pariston Hill to be compared by the likes of Trump.
We defeated Cell+Frieza, used the dragonballs, and now we've confronted how bad of a father Goku is. I love the side of this show that's just a direct statement against DBZ.

Ging could be worse, he could have been a Zoldyck lol Every rewatch, I am disappointed in that family’s conduct and by not doing a single thing, Ging is still better than them by miles. I find the juxtaposition of the behavior of them in this entire show’s run really interesting to think about, and how this episode ends with both families doing something positive for their kids, for once.
Killua. Best. Big. Brother. If he hadn't been my favorite character in this show (and maybe in anything ever), his scene with Alluka and Nanika would've cemented it. He's so good. But yeah, now Killua is absolutely the most powerful character in the world, with his Godspeed, super-assassin skills, and now the ability to just wish for whatever he needs with zero reprecussions.
17:20 Yes, exactly. Killua was acting exactly the same as the rest of his family, and that's why it hurt him so bad to do it, but he thought it was what was best only to immediately be told that forcing her to suppress that part of herself would be unforgivable, and realizing what he was doing.
20:20 My theory for why the rest of the family misgenders Alluka is that she was born a boy, but Nanika is female, and because Nanika is such a big part of who Alluka is, she identifies with Nanika's gender more. There isn't any concrete proof that this is the case, but that's just my theory. They sort of choose to ignore what Nanika could be, and just refer to Alluka as what she was born as rather than who she believes herself to be. That kind of goes back to the whole Zoldyck way of thinking, where they seem to believe that every member of that family has some sort of destiny because of being born into that family, all being brought up as assassins regardless of whether or not that sort of thing is their forte. They had a bunch of boys, and raised each of them in some way to shape them into the person that they are. Alluka went against that from the start, and the only reason they couldn't mold her into what they wanted is because the thing that made her different was this outside thing they couldn't understand and were terrified of.
