Pitou doesn’t need the king to tell her to kill Gon, she sees Gon as a serious threat to the king so she needs to kill him, she was devoted to that back when she was healing Komugi. She isn’t totally bad, and I’m not justifying her actions to be ethical or anything, but she truly felt sorry for Gon but she “must” kill him cuz he posses a threat to the purpose of her existence it’s only natural
@@addollz6192 Well Kite was literally systemically planning to kill all the Chimera Ants, so she had a reason beyond pleasure. And we can't exactly judge the ants on their original mindsets now that they've all developed further into their own identities. @UCO7TuDi-bQNpKeBcOt9sL5A She never tortured Kite, where are you getting that? And having an enjoyable fight to the death isn't exactly the most evil thing we've seen or heard

I think i started following this channel for your reactions of HxH last year. It's crazy how we get already here, it's been a really fun journey with you, you are awesome
Shout out to Togashi !!! Totally appreciate how part of the fandom is like “nah don’t be worried now! You wanted Pitou to know pain well she knows it, and look at what it did to Gon!” 🤣😂 sometimes the comments can be hilarious
pitou considered Gon a threat to the king, thats why she said "I was right" because she sees what hes capable of. She wasn't evil, but only in the perspective of gon. Remember shes another species and doesn't look at people as equals kind of like people with a pigs.
Its Restriction and Covenant, like Kurapika's powers against the spiders, Kurapikas restriction is that his powers can only be used vs the troupe. Gons restriction is that this he traded his future for this power that will only be used vs Pitou. The kind, ambitious, pure-hearted, fun loving kid sacrificed this entire future, his chance to meet his father, his future friendship with Killua, everything, all for revenge. It's heartbreaking. Also I love that you guy weren't like the majority of reactions to this episode being hyped about 'Gon going beast mode' but instead actually seeing that this is a very sad thing.
"Is this like a horror film?" *flashbacks to Killua's arrival* I'd say that's a fitting genre for this episode. Also the black and white scenes with the bright red blood reminded me a lot of Quentin Tarantino's films.
Now you guys know why everyone who meets gon, is terrified of his potential. He could have been this powerful if he trained hard for decades. He used the same technique as kurapika to unlock this power. He sacrifice all his future potential power while restricting it to only be used on pitou, that is why he became so powerful
thats what caught my attention. This gon is actually achievable through normal means which is truly scary because if hes equal to the king (from the last time pitous seen him), we know how powerful he. He was by far the strongest hunter we ever seen, I don't know know about in the future of the series though.
Crazy thing about this is I feel like he only sacrificed enough to defeat pitou at the time. If he trained for decades and achieved this on his own who knows how powerful he could of truly been. Just my theory. I could be wrong.
Y’all are some of my favorite reactors fr. The emotions y’all display are always what I hope people will have when I watch the shows you guys do. Glad y’all were able to watch this unspoiled
The episode that breaks everybody. Also I LOVE in stories when you reach a point where you have no idea what could happen next. A testament of great writing
I think those of us who had already watched HxH in the past were not at all worried about you guys not having a good reaction to this episode. If you are emotionally invested in the show and characters it's pretty much impossible not to have a genuine reaction to this episode. Also, the show itself builds to it very obviously so even though people told you guys in advance that the episode was going to be big, the show does that anyway. By the time you get here, you know something big is about to go down one way or another even without being told by outside sources. So there was really never any doubt, at least in my mind, that you guys would have full blown emotional reactions to this episode just like we all did the first time. Excellent reactions as always and I hope people don't use this episode as a reason why it's okay to spoil the episode number of the high point of a show in the future, because even though it doesn't mean much in this particular case, it's still not cool.
Gon: I don't care if this is the end, so I'll use everything. That is 'Contract & Limitations'. The following is a excerpt from wikipedia. "A Nen user can enter into a Contract (誓約, Seiyaku) where, by pledging to follow certain Limitations (制約, Seiyaku), their abilities are strengthened in relation to how strict they are."
The intense atmosfere around Gon almost this entire Arc, the soundtrack, the visuals, a lot of feelings and things to understand in the same time, just remember about the conditions of Nen, is a thing the Gon know very well since Kurapika in Yorknew, he sacrifice his own Nen and life energy, he already know Bisky so as a enhancer he did the oposite of her and said: "I don't care anymore, I use everything". Great that the hype not ruined this reaction, this was awesome and congrats in the edition.
When y’all started Hunter X Hunter I was waiting for this arc. This is just a tough episode to make it through. Gon is such a wholesome character and to see him with this much despair and pain is difficult.
the difference is, buff bisky is her true appearance and she uses nen to disguise herself. gon made a contract with conditions to forcibly age himself and boost is own power in exchange for everything,
IMON, baby girl!! This chapter is so emotional, I get teary eyed every single time. I really felt the "What have they done to my boy!?" but yeah, Gon totally lost it.
Beat reaction BY FAR, like you guys are super sincere and don't act like you own the shoe (as the other reactors do). Great vid, glad you enjoyed this!
I swear this episode gets me every time I watch it. Even when I think to myself “ I’m good. I’ve seen this before”, my emotions just can’t be contained... My to favorite characters in probably all of anime in a tug of war with who they are. I’m so glad you both got to experience this moment. This was my favorite anime moment of all time. And after seeing it again years later, it still reigns supreme. Great reaction video 🙏🏾
He's an Enhancer, so while having a breakdown the mind took over and gave him what he desired most at the time. He wanted power, and the mind made his body grow to a point where he can have that power.
Pretty much everything about Gon's transformation is designed to be at least vaguely unsettling. From the ridiculously long hair to his clothes to having this hulking figure using Gon's childish rock-paper-scissors attacks.
This is one of the best episodes in anime's history. The philosophy behind this episode is amazing. The meaning. Sometimes it's a little bit confusing when people see it for the first time, but I think you guys will be able to understand in the near future.
Gon used his natural affinity to enhance his aging speed to a point where he’s in his prime while forfeitinf his own life in exchange for all the power he’ll ever have
Nen is all about how specific your task, and how much you're willing to give for it People like Uvogin and Netero, they just want to be strong in general, they gotta work on it Kurapika wanted an insane technique, but *IF* he used it on more than a dozen specific people, he'd be dead Gon went all out, showing basically how far the covenant aspect could be pushed. There was no *IF*, he said "take my nen, take my body, take whatever, just give me 20 minutes of beating this cat's ass to a pulp and I don't care what happens after that", and Nen let him do exactly that. So much more interesting than series with 1:1 power levels
Loving this new Intro design. Thank you for the reaction Abi and Imon. I’ve enjoyed watching hunter x hunter and other shows because of you guys. Much love and positivity to you guys 🙏🤍
I've been waiting for ya'll to get this part and when you said, "Well, first of all kill her." I was dead. Love ya'll reactions and this one got me so geeked. I came for the feels and stayed for the love of the crew posting with me. Love y'all... job well done and now we can be all cathartic and cry our eyes out together.
Gon achieve that power the same way Kurapika gained power so quickly he made a vow to never use nen again to get the power he wanted to defeat Pitou and also vowed to use it only against Pitou. Just like how Kurapika vowed to only use his full power against the Phantom Troupe and if not he’ll die
Ur right in the gon part a little off on the kurapika part, his restriction was to only have some chains only useable on the phantom troupe like chain jail and judgement chain, which is what made them so strong.
In all the reactions I’ve been to I haven’t seen a single person recognizing one fact about the chimera ants, they are newborn children. Regardless of their form or power they are only a few months old at best and are acting almost entirely on instinct as would a lion or a bear and yet nobody seems to realize or appreciate this and I see so many people reacting with such resentment for the ants especially Pitou when the life they have led and their eventual deaths are nothing short of tragic. Children without guidance torn between powerful instincts a developing sense of self, surely I am not the only one who realizes this right?
Some of u post comments about u liking pitou and all and that she got voted as one of the beloved character in hxh while u admit u dont like seeing Abi hating on her. Meanwhile here I am, just like Abi, not liking pitou as well lol. Pitou is made as character that u either love or hate and its fine. So dont just leave comment on why u like pitou or try to convince everyone to like her character. Everyone has their own opinion for a certain character.
I actually really like when reactors cry even if it interrupts the show. Like the time you did so for walking dead episode waaay back. I personally always watch people who analyze but also show extreme emotion which is why you two are among my top 4
Im glad their opinion on pitou softened somewhat, they were one of my favorite characters in the arc and this episode has a lot more impact when you have sympathy for pitou, like in the discussion afterwards where they talked about gon repeatedly punching pitou and how that was disturbing, that was great because at least from my perspective, in this episode gon was the one in the wrong he was going down an incredibly dark path and he didnt care about anything anymore. That said this reaction was great you guys are one of my favorite reaction channels.
Oh boy I have to keep up with you guys through the next few episodes. One of my favorite episodes in anime of all time. The slip of Gon into insanity. The arguing with himself about what is really happening and where to direct his rage. Then the emotion, music, and animation are amazing.
An interesting thing I noticed that, as people have pointed out despite Pitou being a clear antagonist she/(he?) is doing it for honorable reasons, loyalty, etc. But due to that, Pitou also has severe tunnel-vision for the situation in that her continuing motives are for the king. But the thing is, Gon has absolutely no interest in the king. If you can rule out Gon targeting the king out of spite, he has no personal motivation to target the king. (Outside of the king wanting world domination, of course)
I've seen your reactions to other shows this was definitely the best one I've seen so far it was perfect and even I've seen this scene several times I actually felt watching this with you guys like it was the first time.
it's actually crazy we know gon as this optimistic child and happy too it's like when you realise life is not a fairy tail and you can't always get what you want this anime turned from peaches and pies to a horror story

All of Gon's frustration, waiting for this moment to come, all for it to finally pop off in this one intense emotional episode. It's amazingly good. And this isn't even the most intense it gets; since you're three weeks ahead, I know you've seen what I'm referring to, and that's the one I've actually been waiting for...
And the best.
It is the most intense it get...theres absolutely no contest
@@emperortime4907 eh no.. what does intense really mean? When I first watched this I knew what happened and what the outcome would be so I wouldnt consider it intense.. meanwhile there are other scenes that could be considered actual intense struggles more based on the context of what gon went through..
@@ehlert99 you knew Gon would transform like that, Killua would save his life with Gon losing his arm, using his arm to impale pitou and finally blowing himself up? Wow you are genius
@@emperortime4907 SPOILERS FOR MANGA
Hisoka vs Chrollo is close. If it gets animated, then it might become just as or even more intense than this episode.
Pitou doesn’t need the king to tell her to kill Gon, she sees Gon as a serious threat to the king so she needs to kill him, she was devoted to that back when she was healing Komugi. She isn’t totally bad, and I’m not justifying her actions to be ethical or anything, but she truly felt sorry for Gon but she “must” kill him cuz he posses a threat to the purpose of her existence it’s only natural
she is bad lmao, she had no reason to kill kite but pleasure
@@addollz6192 Well Kite was literally systemically planning to kill all the Chimera Ants, so she had a reason beyond pleasure. And we can't exactly judge the ants on their original mindsets now that they've all developed further into their own identities. Pitou killing Kite wasn't anything really worse than what some other characters have done in the past of the series.
@UCO7TuDi-bQNpKeBcOt9sL5A She never tortured Kite, where are you getting that? And having an enjoyable fight to the death isn't exactly the most evil thing we've seen or heard
Add Ollz you can see that she changed between the moment when she killed him, and her fight with gon. It's like the king.
Add Ollz
Kite was attacking the nest. Lol. She had every right to kill him
Pitou deserves some respect. she did her duty as a royal guard till the end. her loyalty to king is just unwavering and is pure unlike self centered pouf who is more loyal to the idea of "ant king" but not the ant king himself
I didn't like how abi was one-sided the whole time about her
yes, but shows how interesting the plot is when people showing empathy and total indifference to diferent characters, si not good and bads.
Agreed! They need to put some respecc on baby girl
Hell nah her and poof are equally as bad and good. She literally promised gon that she'll try to fix kite when he was weaker and now she's dead because she tried to trick him like a little witch.
@@h3llboyyy407 They didn't know who Kite was when they promised that tho, so they thought they could fix him, but when Pitou saw who Gon was talking about thats when it became clear to them that Kite died during their fight.
I just realized this was symbolic of losing your innocence as a child a becoming a “man” because of war
Gon was losing it since the beginning the writer threw hints in plain sight
9:28 turns out thats actually what it sounds like. Thats not the studio being dramatic. The manga described it as a saw being drug across steel wires.
That’s so awesome!
Imon: I don’t like this song
Gon: I don’t care
😭
I think i started following this channel for your reactions of HxH last year. It's crazy how we get already here, it's been a really fun journey with you, you are awesome
7:05 Without fail, EVERYONE does that little lean of their head trying to see around Pitou ahaha I did it too
Shout out to Togashi !!!
I saw this many years ago, I saw a lot of reactions, and I'm still crying watching this chapter
You're not alone.
Bro same. I've watched the episode way past over 20 times on my own and reactions, and it still gets me teary eyed.
Yes poor Pitou.
It hits hard at the end when the screen goes white with gon and it transitions into the ending, that's what always makes me teary
Richard Adams ik:(
Its Restriction and Covenant, like Kurapika's powers against the spiders, Kurapikas restriction is that his powers can only be used vs the troupe.
It shows how gon loses his humanity, meruem is the opposite because he’s gaining humanity
7:00 I like how every reactor I've seen tilts their head when they're looking over Pitou's shoulder lol
Cinematography : 100
I saw Jaster-sama did it as the first one hahahaa
You two are SOOO underrated!!!
One of the best reactors ever!! Been waiting for this and you definitely did not disappoint! Much love
I've never seen Imon in more desperate need of a hug than when this episode ended rofl
"Is this like a horror film?"
*flashbacks to Killua's arrival* I'd say that's a fitting genre for this episode. Also the black and white scenes with the bright red blood reminded me a lot of Quentin Tarantino's films.
Abby's character development is pretty consistent since episode 85.
LOVE IT!
They're struggling so hard not to thirst on my boy Gon lol
IT'S FINALLY HERE ODMDHSJHD YASS
Hisoka would be "screaming" XD
7:02 nearly everyone who have seen this scene for the 1st time tries to look over the shoulder
😂😂😂😂😂
Bye Kite,
Bye Pitou,
Bye Gon.
Bye spiderman
Everywhere I go,all I see is Kite
Yen , don’t you hear yak yak yak?
@@yen6170 Who's kite again?, The most overrated character in this series
@@goddesssalem4842 not to Gon
Y’all are some of my favorite reactors fr. The emotions y’all display are always what I hope people will have when I watch the shows you guys do. Glad y’all were able to watch this unspoiled
"His power is now equal to that of the king." Throws plushy in visibile confusion, anger, and genuine concern...lol
I cant believe you guys were worrying about your reactions, yall did a GREAT job ! Loved this amazing and emotional ep
Gon sacrificed ALL of the nen he has ever had or will ever had for this moment. That's how he was able to be as strong as the King
8:48 "I hope he rips off your arm"
Oh, the irony...
Lol right, at least he still killed her
Gon: I don't care if this is the end, so I'll use everything.
Gon live in forest .
Kurapika live in city .
Killua live in kuroro mountain .
@@adventurebonni5 ???
@@Shurororu oh I just reliase where they favourite work where they rage .
You are the first reactors who realise the pain going through Gon.
Yeah
Real fans cry! Thank u for ur honest reactions through all this years. This episode is just the best. Thats why we waited for it
" I hope he rips off your arm."
*Pitou plays reverse uno card*
fun fact: in the manga, kite is the first character introduced. he leaves ging's badge for gon, which is the reason gon leaves to find ging
When y’all started Hunter X Hunter I was waiting for this arc. This is just a tough episode to make it through. Gon is such a wholesome character and to see him with this much despair and pain is difficult.
Gon did what's called restriction & covenant/pledge. Same thing Kurapika did, but gave up more in order to achieve more power.
the difference is, buff bisky is her true appearance and she uses nen to disguise herself. gon made a contract with conditions to forcibly age himself and boost is own power in exchange for everything,
IMON, baby girl!! This chapter is so emotional, I get teary eyed every single time.
I really felt the "What have they done to my boy!?" but yeah, Gon totally lost it.
15:45 I know it's late but abi comforts imon 😭
I was also shocked when I saw that chapter and said "yoshihiro togashi is a genius" XD
Beat reaction BY FAR, like you guys are super sincere and don't act like you own the shoe (as the other reactors do). Great vid, glad you enjoyed this!
When Gon said he was happy to be like kite, he meant during when Pitou cut his arm off.
This is just one of the best arcs in anime history. Can't wait to see you finishing it up. Great reaction! Ours tears are always welcome for this!
Literally my two favorite people with the most satisfying reactions.
He's an Enhancer, so while having a breakdown the mind took over and gave him what he desired most at the time. He wanted power, and the mind made his body grow to a point where he can have that power.
“he’s so in shock... he’s not processing anything” not knowing that was about to be u guys in a couple minutes😭😭
Imagine bacxk then when it was airing, you see this ending and has to wait a WEEK not knowing what happened...
It was gut wrenching...
13:02 My thoughts exactly Abi! 🤣
I realy dislike People who still have so much hate for Pitou, meanwhile Gon is a complete sociapath and thats fine...
Loved this reaction. I cried when you guys did, goes to show how attached I've gotten to you two.
That black and white scene with Hyori Ittai instrumental playing at the back gets me everytime :"
Gon used his natural affinity to enhance his aging speed to a point where he’s in his prime while forfeitinf his own life in exchange for all the power he’ll ever have
Nen is all about how specific your task, and how much you're willing to give for it
People like Uvogin and Netero, they just want to be strong in general, they gotta work on it
Kurapika wanted an insane technique, but *IF* he used it on more than a dozen specific people, he'd be dead
Gon went all out, showing basically how far the covenant aspect could be pushed. There was no *IF*, he said "take my nen, take my body, take whatever, just give me 20 minutes of beating this cat's ass to a pulp and I don't care what happens after that", and Nen let him do exactly that. So much more interesting than series with 1:1 power levels
this transformation always manages to bring to me to tears idk why. just the music and the emotion behind it is amazing
Gon is the exact opposite of Thor, Gon always goes for the head
Loving this new Intro design. Thank you for the reaction Abi and Imon. I’ve enjoyed watching hunter x hunter and other shows because of you guys. Much love and positivity to you guys 🙏🤍
I've been waiting for ya'll to get this part and when you said, "Well, first of all kill her." I was dead. Love ya'll reactions and this one got me so geeked. I had to call my son up and thank him for putting me on to this one during this quarantine. We talked for hours about it and he was like, "Dad, I told you you'll be calling me back soon. " I replied, " I stand correct Josh, you were right. This series is lit."
Holy crap that girl really hates Pitou lol.
Been silently watching you guys take this journey. I cried my eyes out the first time I saw this episode... cried my eyes out when y'all did. Y'all created an awesome community here. I came for the feels and stayed for the love of the crew posting with me. Love y'all... job well done and now we can be all cathartic and cry our eyes out together.
"is this a horror film?" 😂😂😂 Yeah for pitou
Because they’re born into adult bodies it takes a while to recognize that.

Incluso fue divertido ver como Abi solo odiaba y le deseaba la muerte a Pitou, mientras que Imon estaba en shock
I personally always watch people who analyze but also show extreme emotion which is why you two are among my top 4
one of my favorites episodes, the feels get so real at the end with Killua screaming and the explosion afterwards. Your reactions was priceless
I'm glad you guys enjoyed this episode despite the hype. Like me, your mouths were wide open with shock.
The reason the tone shift was because it was showing dispair. The music, Gon even pitous continued attacks affected death. It's all dispair.
Oh god!
I discovered your channel just in one of my favourite anime episodes of all time!
Yall did a great job editing this episode and making the video
A lot of other youtubers kinda struggle a little bit with this one
"well first of all, kill her" I love the priorities. Made me genuinely laugh.

Amazing reaction!!!
Remember back when this was a story about an innocent boy just looking for his father?
it's actually crazy we know gon as this optimistic child and happy too it's like when you realise life is not a fairy tail and you can't always get what you want this anime turned from peaches and pies to a horror story
6:55 She KNEW what time it was, loved the reaction!
