People meme the crap out of the long hiatuses but togashi himself only recently made an online account that just so happens to be twitter. Every content creator everywhere knows that all algorithms really heavily on consistency. Only below collective watch time which obviously factors in views to itself. So what happened when togashi made his twitter account? He didnt tell anyone. He made it with a randomly generated name. Fans had to get confirmation from his publisher. And all he posted was the bottom right corner of a piece of paper with a number on it. The creator and mangaka of my hero academia spent a decade and a half working to become the #1 most followed mangakas and one of the most followed people in all of japan. Togashi took that spot from him in just a few hour. Not a full day. Not half of a day. Not even half of half of a day. Togashi is the best. No matter how much you wear about people complaining and demanding things from him, the fans reactions speak so much louder. He won everyone over in an almost impossible way. There is almost no one else ever who could pull off what he did. The numbers dont lie.
I bet with a friend $1000 that in 10 years there will be enough content for HxH to continue animated after the election arc....That was 8 years ago lol
