lol right? i cant wait for this ending

Danya always seems like he's terrified of boring his audience but I could never get tired of listening to chess history
RIGHT?
If you're watching a chess stream you're probably nerdy enough to be fascinated by chess history
Though, at least on UA-cam, you can easily skip ahead.
It’s a trip… to learn chess is to learn the history about it. It’s not every subject where this is a thing 🤔
his vast knowledge of chess history always awes me, it makes me want to learn more about it too
"'Nice win, you were never in trouble'.. Good to know!" I love Danya's sense of humour
I wish I, too, could glance at the ceiling for a few seconds and then have all the answers to my problems
Just put a bluetooth tv connected to stockfish on your ceiling
The famous hikaru strategy
I did this during a math test and miraculously, it worked
@@majesticaaa4131 how does stockfish help in a math test?
It kinda is starting to happen to me, but only while watching his video.
Random 1200: "Move"
Danya: You have yee'd your last haw
if only he knew what he was up against xD
I hope the speedruns never stop, love the history lessons too
Best true teacher for sure
One of my favorite series on any form of TV, including Netflix, cable, UA-cam, etc. I love it for several reasons:
1) It’s educational and extremely well taught, so I’m learning stuff every video. It explains all the fundamentals of solid chess play in an easy-to-watch manner.
2) It’s outright entertaining. I get to see players at my skill level get absolutely crushed - you know, the same guys I usually struggle against. I get to watch one of the best blitz players on earth
3) It’s relaxing. Most importantly, these types of chess videos are pure ASMR. Great to watch while laying in bed or unwinding after a long day. Something so peaceful about chess vids, especially these ones.
The editor is taking some creative liberties which I in no way oppose. Good stuff!
8:07 "His queenside is no more" lol
4 am, eating cereal, learning from danyas speed run... life is good.
life is still good watching new speedruns :)
Guy got hit with Qb3 the move after chatting “move”. Perfect
Before I started playing chess I was already watching videos of masters playing against 1000 to 2000 rated players and I thought wow this is easy, I can do that as well. I remember thinking that I would be immediately rated at least 1400 after I watched these videos. I would watch titled players point out mistakes that 1200 rated players were making and I would be like yeah these guys are really stupid. Imagine my shock when I started playing chess myself and 900 rated players were wiping the floor with me. Needless to say I didn't get the 1400 rating when I started playing chess, instead my rating was 600.
Yea I'm sure it happend!
Insightful glance into how grandmasters calculate 2:52
Danya is too nice but I really wish he said “move” after the dude took a while to move from trapped rook 😂
im so glad he didnt ~ true class
My man daniel didn't showed us a Naro-Kann😭😭😭
Look up caro kann goldman variation, there is a video of Danya teaching it to a streamer iirc
Here we go: ua-cam.com/video/G5o7yemsySA/v-deo.html
HOW DARE he play my opening is exactly what I think when someone plays an opening I play
How dare you use my own spells against me Potter
Ppl play the NAJDORF or the nimzo vs me i get irrationally angry
same (:
but then i lose..
@@michaelplaczek9385 - Wrong. It goes , "You dare use my own spells against me, Potter?"
Danya's opponent: *Plays the Caro Kann*
Danya: "I'm about to ruin this guy's whole career."
Danya opponent is also super hot fire.
Danyas opponent: "Move"
Danya: "Ohhhh I'm about to ruin this man's whole life"
The only issue I would have with playing an anonymous GM is that I probably wouldn’t realize they were a GM and wouldn’t analyze the game
If this happened to me in a 900 pool, id probably report for cheating
Just food for thought here... If you did play a GM, I'm assuming you would get crushed, right? (if not, sorry). I would highly recommend analyzing any game where that happens. There's really only a few things that could have caused this (generally):
1. You played obvious blunders (relative to your rating range), in which case you should review them so as to avoid similar ones in the future.
2. Your opponent was cheating.
3. You ran into one of the smurf GMs from the horde that are dominating the 10 minute pool.
IMO, all of the above are worth reviewing :)
I've played games against someone who seems way better than their rating... And one recently I got my points back due to the fair play rule.
You should always analyze your games whether you win or lose, knowing winning and losing motifs in that result in your openings separate good and bad learners
Getting this quality instruction for free from your home whenever you want it is such a gift. This man is the goat I swear.
"How dare you use my own spells against me, Potter!"
Sorry, wrong universe.
This is quickly becoming my favourite chess series on UA-cam.
Danya these videos are such a great resource to learn! Fascinating stuff with all the chess history bits. ❤
Wake up babe, danya uploads new speedrun videos
I personally like the accelerated panov attack especially at my elo of 1300-1400. I've found literally 0 people prepared for it and it's made my caro-kann winrate go from an abysmal 31% to positive.
Agreed, becomes more like Scandi lines with an isolated queen pawn. Also get a cheeky queen pin sometimes after the 2 pawns are traded off and 5.Nc3 Qc6, 6.Bb5
I never played against it in more than a year of playing the Caro Kann as black... First Caro Kann OTB game I ever got was in this line. The horror
Fascinating lesson. Thanks so much.
The video I've been waiting for!
Thank you for the literal free chess lessons. I've been learning a lot.
I like before watching.
Best educational chess channel so far.
You’re going to get so big from these videos. Thank you for your content danya :)
Just wanna say hi and thanks for this awesome content, im learning so much from these!
1200elo player with “gm” in his name: Move
Danya: actual gm*
Thank you for everything you do, Mr. Naroditsky.
imagine having the audacity to push daniel to make a move LOL
Great content man, keep it up :)
Awesome- learning so much here. Thanks! I love playing the Caro so I’m Gonna have to work on black’s respose to the panvov now. I usually play the 2 knights attack when I face the Caro with the white pieces. Loads of scary traps and quick checkmates if black doesn’t know the line.
You are just a great teacher, I improved a lot because of your videos!
Pretty cool! Thanks!
my body is always prepared everytime Danya uploads!
Hmmmmm
Hey Danya, you are the most instructive GMs here on youtube for beginners. Love your videos. I have a request. Can you show how to nerf the Trompowsky as Black.
Great video!
Did Naro install Hikaru's ceiling fish too?
Thanks Danya for this educational video i just crushed someone with Panov Attack
It will be so sad when I'll watch all the speedrun videos, need to slow down. Or rewatch again as this is pure content.
Please never worry about boring us with the history I get so excited to learn where these lines come from!
Great content
chess content holds my life rn
Nice work as usual. Please try kings pawn opening leonardis variation some time
Let’s gooooo 🔥
More Caro-Kann! Love this
Nice win, you were never in trouble :)
Opponent: move
Danya: so you have chosen death
I remember 'inventing' this one in a blitz game then looked up the moves, iirc that game went well. But sometimes my instincts to bust open the centre feel premature and noobish (and I suspect, often are). I'm still developing the instinct for when to strike in the centre in eg. king's indian positions. I remember having an idea to gambit a pawn against the caro-kann too (this move is apparently called the von Hennig gambit) - that iirc did NOT go well
Same. I just felt like let's go c4 since this position looks exactly like the queen's gambit and the general idea is also similar. I was pleased to see later on that it was the top engine move and since then I've always played the Panov attack agay the exchange Caro Kann
13:02 hahahaha that is such a funny problem to imagine
Yay, more Caro Kann! I play it so badly, but I'm hooked on that sweet c6 action. I hope we see the fantasy some more, that's my favorite.
Fantasy is great! It gives me great position most of the time
Most people that play the Caro-Kann really shouldn't. People have somehow gotten the impression that it's a beginner-friendly opening from Gotham, but it's actually terrible for beginners.
@@SerLaama No people should play it even if it isn't beginner friendly. Its better for people to enjoy chess with openings they like rater then playing stuff that they don't enjoy
Word
@@SerLaama Eh, it's not worse than learning the French or e4, e5 positions. I do really well with the classical and advance CK, recently the Breyer variation has been giving me some trouble, but I generally get good positions before I blundermaster the game away.
Calculated 9 moves in advanced in a few seconds around 4:00. That's why he's sensei
Danya opens chessbase
His computer fan : I am SPEED!!
this content is free, what a freakin bargain. subscribe and help this man grow. deserves it , no doubt
"It was the best of times, it was the summer of our discontent" - Charles Steinbeck
15:45 that's basically a transposition into the London
IQP is terrible when I have it however IQP is the most powerful weapon in chess when my opponent has it.
As a black Caro-kann, Panov at., Accelerated Panov and Panov-Botvinnik are been a pain in... to deal with. Then, GM Naroditsky says 1:30 "And now this leads to one of the most well-studied and most famous structure of all time: The IQP (Isolated Queen's pawn)".
Move.... hmm.... this battle will be swift :) Quality tutorage:)
What’s the title of the Black Book series you mentioned?
Danya seems like a genuinely good & kind human. But you also don’t get to his level without also being a stone-cold killer when necessary!
I went from 1620 to 1530 in one day rip
Ik that feeling, one time I was on fire and went from 1260 to 1397 in one day, Ive dropped to 1350 since, but I guess Im just bad at blitz, half of my blitz games are lost because of time. I enjoy longer time formats
Oh wait u dropped, sorry took the number the other way around xd
happens to the best of us. i find that my rating drops when i'm blitzing out chess games one after the other without much thought. sometimes you just need a break and some perspective. let's face it, ratings are meaningless and we're not gonna be GMs, so let's just enjoy the game
@@michael8815 yep exactly. I just need to stop and think and calm down
I went from 1400 to 1100 out of tilt...
Ru throwing back high noons
watching a danya video for inspiration before going to play otb
11:01
"It was the winter of despair, it was the summer of ??, but sure the Dickens quote"
Eternal shame on you. I am German, but I assume even many educated Germans know that these are the first two lines from the opening soliloquy from Shakespeare's Richard III:
Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of York;
I found that there is queen zig Zag to escape from the rook harassment.
Gut
Imagine being a 1300 and excited to play your new opening that you learned from a 10 minute Gotham chess video
At 12:24, what's stopping the mate threat: Bh3 Qa8? Seems to me that black atleast wins the rook for the bishop.
I usually find myself transposing into the panov attack through the english or when I play 1.e4 c6 2.c4 d5 3.exd5 cxd5 4.d4. I don't know if that's any better or worse but I've found great success regardless.
11:00 wtf lol
11:40 largely it is completely winning
13:52 what if Nb5 Qg4, the black queen cant move, cuz the bishop is hanging, so somethink like Nd3 or even h6 is possible?
Your lines are confusing 🤔
Can't wait for him to get into the 1400-1500s. I feel like those games are going to be really instructive.
The IQP, AKA Schrödinger's Pawn. Its neither good nor bad.
Yaah, so, Vasily Panov died" - Daniel Naroditsky 2021
What about the accellerated Panov?
Insane Qlown Posse
How do I get matches vs. the hordes of GMs at 1100? I'll get crushed by Danya literally any time he wants, I'd love the learning experience.
lmao absolutely destroyed
MOVE 😂
the adds man jesus
The naro khan!!!!
are daniel livestream?
Yes, Daniel are livestream
what is a IQP position ?
Can you do a chess960 speedrun please?
Hey danya, could you make a video about the naro cann, Ive heard about ir from you earlier and have even see you play one game with it. I was really interested but couldn't find any videos.
try searching caro kann goldman variation. thats the official name
@@jeffic9249 thanks
"Move!"
Oh..nvm
Danya's been watching Ben Finegold's channel huh
If he was in a hurry, why not just pick a faster game? I don't understand.
Should've typed "MOVE!" Every time he thought. What a dork!
Edit: you didn't show us the Naro-kan!
Didn't he have queen a5 at that point? 7:50 super complicated but it's a really good defensive maneuver
It blunders b8 and probably the rook of h8
@@srcrowhite9773 true!
How to quickly evaluate an IQP position.
anyone else hear the rocket ship at 19:30? XD
If Danya has to spend a minute calculating a position, it's probably too complicated for me to play!
OOooooo I loved watching the shit talker get smoked. "Move" okay bro, guy needs 0.3 seconds per move
You forgot to explain the "Narokhan"
