I don’t think Eric Rosen could have survived his excitement if you had actually got a double pawn cube. Nice game and analysis. I love the Caro so it’s really great to have you deepen my understanding
I've watched lots of chess streamers and UA-camrs, but this is genuinely the most insightful and useful content I have come across, that still is also very entertaining.
Literally tried to study this line yesterday and realized "hmm this isn't very concrete, I would really benefit from some coaching insights here". Thanks Danya, you're always here to help people out :D
Dan is by far the best instructor on UA-cam. Levy tries too hard to be funny, Hikaru doesn’t explain anything and just talks about juicers, ben is too sarcastic and agadmator explains moves retroactively after consulting the engine without proper analysis
Check out my other favorites as well: Hanging pawns and NM Robert Ramirez! I love Danya for his 'walkthrough logic' "ok the position has transformed, we need to reevaluate first." Hanging pawns has a lot of theory and knowledge, only 2000 Fide, while Robert is similar in his content, he may offer you some niche/rare, but practical lines, as he is a NM. I joined my first few tournaments last month, and with the help of all these guys, I'm already 1600 USCF!
I learn so much from these games. Your comments are very helpful. I am a 1600-1700 player and I learn much more from your videos than from annotated GM games. Thanks, Daniel!
@@Tyler-bp4md that's understandable. Few 1300s go into main-line theory anyway. I encounter a lot of Bc4 on move 3, Bb5+ on move 3 after d6. I only get the Najdorf about 10% of the time, maybe now 25%, and in that position white has many good moves which all have good responses. :)
You have a real talent for teaching. Good professor, only adequate chess player here, but I do know teaching. Your deep insights shine through, and your honesty about not going as deeply as possible for an audience that may not understand you is also a pleasure.
19:51Very instructive Daniel thank you . The innocuous ab6 is much strong than the natural looking almost conditioned reflex capture Bxa6 ?! This theme of the stupid looking but deadly innocuous bishop moves instead of say the obvious bishop out post moves can be intriguing in chess because the bishops can reveal a lot of other possibilities in a few moves later. And even strong out posted bishops can become targets or easily avoided, but sometimes the bishop and pawn is very strong or very weak in endgame. Interesting finding quirky chess ideas comes with experience great Lesson Daniel .I think I've played Caro Kann 3 times in my life lol. Lets give it a try... yeah boi !! .I like to play against caro kann with white and I know a couple of whites gambits and I know and another crazy line chasing blacks bishop, I found with one of my gambits. Thanks bro . love ya work !! All hail the pawn cube , had a diamond once ;D
@danielnaroditsky Just a thought, but it would be super cool if you had your speedrun openings organized into their own playlists. For example, I would love to find a playlist of all of your Caro-Kahn games/lessons!
That really tickled me the fact that it's just "the pawn cube" to him. I am curious does this pawn cube arise in many other positions, or is it just well known in this variation of the Caro?
Hi Daniel, would you ever consider linking to an analysis board (or PGN) of these games? I know these were recorded some time ago, but that would be super helpful :)
I need a King's Indian defence episode please Danya. I know the opening moves and what I want to do against some variations but sometimes especially against higher rated players I'm just lost for what to do in the middlegame. Oddly enough I do better when they opposite side castle, cause then I push C5 instead of E5 and swarm them on the queenside.
you said pawn cubes can be clumsy in an end game, but if you have that pawn cube and wiped all of the major and minor pieces off the board, it would be almost impossible for your opponent to stop that pawn cube from rolling down the board
I love that Daniel's version of "trolling" is him asking a good question in a teachable moment. 11:44 He's so wholesome.
I don’t think Eric Rosen could have survived his excitement if you had actually got a double pawn cube. Nice game and analysis. I love the Caro so it’s really great to have you deepen my understanding
"Indestructible pawn cube".
IM Eric Rosen.
Awesome as always. Very meme-y episode as well, with "16(16)60" rating and the "indesctructible pawn cube!!!".

Not only does Levy try to hard to be funny, he's smug and condescending.

So bummed when he skips a day of lessons, thanks as always for the incredible lectures 🔥
Interesting move at 3:50. I'm glad we get to explore all these variations of the Caro-Kann. It's making me want to play it instead of the sicilian.
I play the caro just know that though the gms make it look seamless it is anything but
the sicilian is such a hard opening

Man, the odds of Daniel uploading a 1660 speedrun and gotham uploading at the same time..
They definitely colluded!
Daniel doesn’t hang pieces on move 6 though.

Great lesson on the Caro. Very instructive DN. We learnt a lot in a short time. Keep it up
I've never seen the pawn cube.
Great video, Daniel. I learned a ton. I loved the "snake-shedding-its-skin" analogy.
Thx for the amazing content these speed runs are so helpful
Thank you for the content! Hellou from Mexico :)
@@holabola9064 De San Luis Potosí! Y tú?
I paused watching these really helpful speedrun vids due to my studies but I saw 1660 and then I had to come
i came too
i’m coming now
no point holding it in brother
I came again after 2 fucking years💀
best episode of the speedrun so far!
22:52 is the funniest thing I have seen from dania. lmao.
Hope we'll see some Benko gambit in the coming speedrun.
Danya uploads video at bed time... Bed time gets pushed back
When i heard a pawn box beeing good i was so happy. Definitly found my favourite line haha
Another great episode of my favorite series
thank u daniel , u really do big effort to explain us how to play better chess 🙏
I love how Daniel is explaining these chess lectures.
You are an incredible teacher, player and person
The only thing I "hate" about these videos is how easy Daniel makes it look 😂
1660 elo, hmmmm
1:30 Ah yes, of course, the Bronstein variation. Dubious indeed. I do not recommend it.
I thought it was a good line, people like Hikaru plays it
@@James-Cook because hikaru can get away with dubious openings doesn't mean you can
In my extensive studies as a 900 rated player I've found it to be indubitably dubious

Thanks yet again for another terrific tutorial!
So good quality content, thanks daniel from france
So instructive thank you very much!
I love that he’s playing the caro and the Danish so much because those are my main 2 openings

Great explaination, thank you.
Great lessons as per usual

Do you have any videos against hilbily attack and panov-botvinnik attack?
I freaking love the look of the pawn cube😂
I love the caro-kann, i will give this one a shot Sensei Daniel
Thanks for your great video. The pawn cube is a new idea which I hope to use for a win someday.

god this analysis is so good
thank you for the content, good sir
These thumbnails are getting better and better I swear.
The caro Kahn was actually played in Vienna chess but caro made it big in the world of chess that's why they made it the caro kahn

1660?
@8:36 Is Rh4 a good move?
okay nvm he’s gonna explain it
At 7:30 can't you play Nxc4? You're gonna lose that knight anyway and that temporarily protects the rook and attacks the queen
My drug has arrived
Thank you for the content
im surprised there aren’t more 1660 jokes in the comments
Daniel 'Pawn Cube' Naroditsky
I can only hope that I will be as good at explaining things as Daniel someday.
Daniel Naroditsky hung a piece on move six
Honestly just a Caro-Kann speedrun would be very interesting to watch
Most insightful... I just feel stronger :-)
The sacred number
Danya DAMNNNNN GIRL Naroditsky!!!!
Very enjoyable. 👍 cool beans
already liked this vid, but I'll watch it later, i still have work. But of course it's rebeccaharris so it's a solid quality content 💪
It's just gone above my head 😵😵
There should be a queens castling move in chess just like that of king's. So that both king and queen could remain safe until the end .
Thank you GM Danya
Love your contents
Do you have a photographic memory?
I'm glad that your opponent didn't hung a piеce on move six
At 22:55, why not c5 instead of Rad1
It looks also crushing, but it seems like white gets a rook for a pawn instead of a full rook
@@MM-sc4ww But Rad1 doesnt give white a full rook as rook goes back to d4 (like he said).
