That toxic manager just admitted that she is going to slander her, ruin her reputation and attempt to blackball her. Faith definitely made the right decision to leave. She should probably consider getting a lawyer now.
When the manager tells what kind of employee you are to other companies, whether true or false, then the employee has ground to sue the former manager a libel or harassment case or financial sabotage by making you ineligible for work.

Faith forgot to block her old manager
If a manager threatens you in this fashion, you can tell them to go talk to the company lawyer and get their mouth straightened out. They can get sued for attempting to threaten your future employment.
It would be worth a couple hundred bucks to get a lawyer to write that manager a "cease and desist" letter threatening a lawsuit if she slanders Faith. Oh - and copies should definitely be sent to the HR office and the manager's supervisor to give them a heads up.

The threats at the end are the weakest weaksauce I've ever heard. She just got hired during her vacation - she's obviously got an in demand skill set and the manager is a complete dumb ass for letting her go. Also, it's a big world - there's no law that compels you to list every past employer.
What is this American obsession with firing everyone all the time? It must cost them a fortune. And certain members of the last Government wanted to bring in similar work arrangements here!

Faith is a great example of a bad Employee, and The Manger is awesome in how she handles these kind if employees.
Oh, I'm sorry but you got it all backwards! All toxic managers do the same thing: threatening to fire when they need a "favor", and try to guilt trip an employee who has had their vacation already approved, but then they take it, BECAUSE it had been approved for months.
