Can u take the lock out after or is it permanent?

These are meant to be permanent. You can wash them and they won’t unravel. I have combed out instant locs before and the longer they have been loc’d the more difficult it becomes to comb out. It is damaging to comb out. It’s possible but you will need a trim AND treatments to bring back your hair to its original state.
