Congratulations to my son in law Mr.Sathya. The interview was excellent...you guys did a good job. This will be useful for a lot of first time car buyers.😊🎉
Congratuations brother. Similar process i followed for buying Tiago XT- mid variant. My budget is only 6 to 7 lakhs. Choosing the right variant and stick to the budget was hectic as a first time buyer. After visiting show room only i realized the cost will be 25 - 40 % higer than the on road price. But I was stick to one point again its my budget. If i streched then yes the list is never ending. people suggested to go from Nios, Punch, Nexon....etc.. . But the difference is starting one lakh to 3 or 4 lakh higher. Dont get into the trap of salesman and influence of others. You know your position and financial status better than any one. Of course there any many features which are not necessary and will cost us more. Avoid that unnecessary features will give us better value money buying, Thanks to Birla Sir , your videos helped me a lot and still learning many driving lessons from your videos.
I have 6 years experience in car driving. In my opinion pls run your vehicle 2000 rpm. In this rpm your vehicle reach 80 km/h. At that rpm u wi get 22 km/l. In 2500 rpm u will reach 100km/h. Mileage 18-19
Recently bought i10 nios sportz 1 ltr Turbo petrol engine in April 2023. Pickup is excellent... Same 1 ltr turbo engine used in i20, Venue, and also Verna.. am so lucky to have this variant...
This user is right example of many Indian first time car buyers. All car reviewers talk to ppl who always deal with cars. They won't understand the mind of a person looking to buy a first car. I had same thoughts like this person when I got my first car
This is truly bullshit story 😂 I own a car 6 months back, I'm the 1st car buyer in my family. Took licence a day before the car delivery, never drove a car before the LLR class. My car is honda city, 4.4 meter length. Still driving well, drove in Chennai for 1 month and now driving in Bangalore.😅 So please stop telling this stories and spread around, let the buyer decide what they want, don't make them nervous by the time someone wanted to enquire to by their 1st car
Off late only I started watching your Channel along with some other channels and I should say its a really unique way of interviewing a user and bringing out his perspectives , great job and keep up the good work. Wanted to replace by 2006 model Santro Xing MT with a new compact hatchback AMT and after all the reviews/test drives etc including looking at the micro SUV segment since by budget was within 10 lacs onroad , zeroed in on Hyundai Grand Nios i10 Asta AMT. Couple of points basis I wanted some guidance / feedback from Birlas Parvai family & other viewers: * I already have a Creta which is my primary car and was using the Santro as a backup or for shorter city trips , key consideration being traffic / parking space etc * Had mainly got the 2nd hand Santro for my wife , but since it was an MT she really never ended up driving. * So now really wanted to upgrade to a compact AT hatchup which will encourage her to start driving and become proficient on roads * One confusion I have is whether I should go for i10 Nios Asta AMT or i20 Sportz IVT and this i20 variant will come at approx a difference of 1 to 1.3 lacs as they are waiting for a facelift launch of i20 also within September , so final new price nor yet known * Found the 2023 i20's space & looks much better , but i10 Asta had more features including 6 airbags etc and also i20 is slightly longer / wider and relatively a bigger car * So the key question is if its mostly for city drive where traffic / parking etc are key considerations , to get me wife to start driving regularly which the AMT will help , occasionally perhaps a highway drive , a second car which I can also drive , leaving aside that there will be price inflation of 1 to 1.3 lacs, which would be better car to choose between the two Your feedback / comments would be much appreciated.
Dont look for mileage in any newly purchased car because its the nature of any new engine to consume more fuel. Check for mileage only after a year because by that time engine would be refined or seasoned after regular driving.
I selected nios just like the owner in the video. I did same choice and final selection as told.. im an experienced driver however it was my first new car after using second hand cars I own a new Nios sports AMT just seven months old which is from the prev gen 2022. Dealer was clever to not provide any input for this new facelift 😀 nalla irupeengappa neegallem 😀😀 Since this channel and forum has good viewership, some inputs from my end. Cons: First 2000 kms extremely tight steering. Mileage will be very low for 2000kms. Max 10-11 during the setup period. Braking doesn't enforce confidence/pumping needed at highspeeds, lower speeds its fine. Cabin noise during highspeeds is evident not silent. Hill hold not present (not applicable for current facelift) Heavy head nod for shifts btw 1-2-3. A manual rider will hate driving AMTs just like me but left leg definitely feels happy.. Full load tends to hit speed bumps if not driving carefully due to ground clearance. brake and head nod feedback is not same for my experience. Mileage is a pain definitely. Pros: Very comfortable ride (but not a peppy car at all) Value for money due to features and overall quality. Personally felt better for the cost in comparison to other cars that was in my choice/checks like Swift (only for cost), wagonR/Celerio/Ignis (in terms of build quality & features) Good suspension and comfort. Good AC experience. Decent infotainment but not great. Decent first service experience. Easy driving in city and not a bad choice for long drives. Overtake(it does work very effectively P.S - my choice of car was for an automatic/AMT which was lesser than 8lakhs from budget standpoint. I didn't want to spend a dime more than 8L. Nios if not automatic and manual, it's the best rate car in the hatch segment. 90k difference for AMT regardless of versions. New Nios tends to be very pricey. Hope this helps. Thanks
I had a test drive of both I10 NIOS and Tiago. I thought Tiago has better stability while speeding at 100km than I10 because it has little jerk in air. So I opted Tiago. Mileage I think it's based on how we are driving. Getting 20kmper litre on highway for tiago 16 to 17 km in city. Yes it has slow pickup but it suits my driving style. Drawback is vibration of engine.
I also bought the same car on February month. It's really a nice one to drive. But for me mileage is around 19 to 20 in highways. Around 15 in hills. Basically I am from Nilgiris
Bro, am using the same edition of i10 nios, before 1 St service: 15 - 16 mileage in city 20-22 in highway After 1st service : 18-20 in city 21- 23 in highway Even I achieved 26km per litre with 2 passangers in highway Even maruti also will not give like this I maintain speed between 80 - 100
My list Suzuki Ignis vs i10 nios vs Tiago vs Tigor vs Nexon vs Amaze CVT vs i20 IVT Finally took i20 IVT coz rear seat for city drive 4 adults can adjust 😬😬
I bought this car on January 2023 ,nios 2022 model. Best value for money. Compact for family. Only issue I find is while night driving, headlight is not best. But for the money we spending is it acceptable. Milegae depends on your driving capabilities. I got 20-22km with ac on on highway,25-26 without AC speed range 60-80km at 5th gear . City mileage 14-15 with ac ,without AC 16-18. A/c best, music system best. Hyundai love you❤️❤️
All his points are absolutely valid. The only thing is, in the RC book we will be the second owner and it will affect while selling. I am the affected person 😊.
Bought this on 2020 when it was first released. Its been almost 5 years. Very reliable car with no major complaints. Mileage is about 20-22 in Highway and perhaps 13-15 in city. I've used it pretty heavily and have never gone to a mechanic for other than punctures. The battery died just last week after four and a half years.
I own this car (2023 asta facelift) but MT, mileage doesn't seems to be a problem here, atleast for MT. I solidly get 14-15kmpl during city drive as i commute by car to and from my office. in highway (i went to Bangalore) I got 20kmpl. I use shell petrol !

Design looks very similar to Pikachu. Engine and its refinement are good. Hyundai is known for its great interior quality and infotainment system but design and steel quality are only disappointing to me. 4 cylinder hatchback weight should be close to 1000 kg.
We also have the same car same colour varient in sportz dual tone petrol manual we use it for city drive fully and its good as we have another car for highways . The owner did not mention this the car has another varient in between sportz amd asta called sportz dual tone (which we have) which provides dual tone roof, alloy wheels, black interior for just a premium of 30k but the thing is we had to wait 4 months to get this varient but the normal spark green was ready. So that's the only drawback. On road costed 8.7 lakhs
I 10 slightly narrow compared to poloand swift for both rear and frontbseats but hgt is more. But lee maintenance cost more service centres avl. Better amaze but can't afford maintenance cost. Mileage ok in hyndai cars cheap cost in spares
Mileage is depends on driver.. My Nios is 2022 sportz manual.. I am getting mileage in city of 18 and highways 20+ depends on speed around 70 to 80 kmph
Bro... Your differentiation analysis between swift n nios is absolutely correct. Nios is better than swift... Swift engine is speedy than nios because of dual jet engine...rest is better in nios
Watch Birla 's smiling face while putting only positive answer questions. Mileage of nios is poor with light body. Why?what's the reason? Swift mileage is more with light body. Tiago weight is more less milage is understandable.
I did the calculation.. price difference between nios and swift is approx 25k.. and with the fuel average calculation, it takes 20K km to drive the nios to break-even with the cost of Swift. If the vehicle is going to be used a lot, then definitely Swift.. if less driving, then nios is better.. The one thing that makes nios better is the fit and finish of the vehicle.. it looks premium both interior and exterior.. the plastic quality of Swift is really bad.. when I open the glove box of nios it looks really sturdy, but the Swift glove box is really pathetic.. the jack container in Swift looks like it will break anytime if a small amount of excell force is applied.. i really feel nios is way better in all aspects except the fuel average.. low seating position in Swift at times provide a blind spot while making a right turn or an u-turn.. However I called a local garage and talked to a mechanic, he strongly advised to go for Swift, so had bought Swift..

Why didnt you consider Tiago bro?
@maheswaransivanandam6995 there are several variants in Tiago and has single features in every variant and also took more time to decide. Another reason not to go for tiago is 1st impression of sitting in driving cabin I haven't get that feel of new car.
