I like airwaves, they slide over any surface, but I find them a bit slippery and clunky. I prefer Sims street snakes as they are less clunky but still have enough slip AND grip. Mothertrucker sells them starting at £19!!
Clunky yes, but not slippery in my experience! I did buy and try some Street Snakes but didn't get on with the smaller diameter of the wheel.

Are you a lefty? I can see that you've got your rear brake on your left foot like me. I used your tutorial to install mine.
Never really sure! I prefer to turn left/go anticlockwise. I find my right foot is more stable if it's the only one on the ground. I started with the brake on the other side, then moved to left foot as it seemed more natural. I don't have a stopper at all now, but would put it on if I was skating a long distance and down hills.
