I think though over several years Aerosoft focus seems to be on other things knower days over flight siming, plus seem to have less and less engagement with the community and becoming very corporate in nature. Witch is a shame for a developer whose roots are from flighsimming. But has been a perfect demonstration of what mistakes and failures can be when you get too big and don’t focus on the service or product. Sadly i think this will be a bitter pill with the FS customers that i struggle to see how they could fix or repair there relationship with the customers.

And even though captan sim aircraft for msfs2020 are basic at least they work on the basic side and serve a part of the market. Other wise aerosoft wear with there own hype saying the wear wanted to deliver a high detailed mostly full fidelity a330 that was delayed due they Sade its to make it better. So Aerosoft in my opinion have made one of the biggest mistakes a big development house could ever do. But they did it to themselves at the end of the day.

@@denziiey Sadly, the A340 is a completely obsolete aircraft nowadays. It was designed during a time when 4 engines was considered the safe way to travel for extended periods over water and was intended to serve a niche where the 747 was too large. Very few airlines still operate them, or even bought them, so you would be very limited trying to simulate real world operations. Something like an A220 would be neat, although, that's really more Bombardier than true Airbus.
Aerosoft clearly released the aircraft to get the biggest possible amount of money before MSFS2024, that’s a thing, but witnessing Aerosoft acting like they’re surprised the product doesn’t meet expectations is just outrageous. They released the aircraft without explaining that the aircraft is obviously not even ready to be called a preview version and they still didn’t hesitated to get the money while iFly released a MAX warning everybody that the aircraft is still a preview version (that works very well ). Kudos to you Emmanuel to still manage to be very honest despite the uncomfortable position they put you in !
i agree, they got caught with their pants down when inibuilds announced their A330 for msfs 2024 and released this out of sheer panic. whos gonna buy this after the 2024 release when it comes with what will be a far higher quality product going by inibuilds track record.
And they brought it out in that sorry state because they had to justify the grant they received from the German government for its development. Either that or they had to pay back the money.
I'm an xplane guy but I come here quite often for the insights and to learn new SOPs . If you can please invest some time to review the Toliss A339. Except for the cockpit textures it's lightyears ahead...
After having played the aerosoft a320 in fsx for a reasonable amount of years(not to mention I learned the A320 basics on it, so now I can fly inibuilds and latinvfr a321neo without issues), I am still shocked what happened with this A330. I was expecting it to be a study level aircraft, almost if not like the fenix airbus. Lets hope the plane will be fixed with a huge update because even if they release v2 for half the price, I doubt anyone would buy it after the disappointment we got.
Except for the cockpit textures, Toliss A339 is lightyears ahead . It's a shame we didn't get a review from Manu. Granted it seems he likes msfs better , I think he would love the Toliss A339.
With Aerosoft's Berlin airport V2 update, and now this! I am never buying anything from them ever again. Thanks for your honest reviews and thoughts. So many UA-camrs are afraid to say anything negative about MSFS or products. I trust you to give an honest review of 2024 before i will even consider buying it.
@@trevnextgen - it was great until update V2. Textures became very poor with huge game breaking stutters. Many, many have complained to no avail. I can read that an update may have fixed this by march of this year, but it was ignored for 2 years.
It seems like its still broken. Im still annoyed with aerosoft and am proactively trying not to buy any new products or services off them. They have seemed to act like they didn’t do anything Wong and seem to be ghosting the community, as of this day no apology or explanation of why they had realised a product that wasn’t in a good state especially without warning or healthy engagement with the community. Like how flibywier have done by saying there planned to release the a380 in a alpha and will be missing some things, that’s healthy engagement and gives a clear rout of progression, and for a free product the really looks bad for aerosoft. So for my self im definitely not buy AS a330 and not spending any hard earned money with aerosoft. Witch is a massive shame but im a ferm believer in voting with your wallet. Its so simple what aerosoft needs to do to try and repare the damage but the longer they leave it shows wear the real priorities lay and there true colors are. Being a logical person I find it hard to comprehend how they can produce what looks like a pretty good layouts for the EFB but they carnt get a GPU to connect? On a serious note I never realised you entered the PAX figure in the MCDU, I’m assuming this is real not an aerosoft thing ? I give you credit for perseverance 😮
My personal bet is they probably were still in development when somebody decided just to release it now while they can still grab the money before FS24 comes with the default A330. So it's probably not an issue of incapable devs, but of devs who simply did not have the time to finish their job.
If the default A330 in 24 is anything like the default C17 that I saw in a developer stream , then the AS 330 will be totally dead in the water. Not a hope of prayer will save it. So you are spot on.

Nothing more frustrating than getting a system that works better than average for a flight to go straight down the pan with a CTD! I have got so used to flying boeing,s getting into an airbus cockpit is alien to me. So have the greatest respects to all you airbus pilots who actually mannage to get a plane off the apron lol. As for Aerosoft maybe they need to go back to the drawing board and get the designers to sort these issues out! all i will say is i dont get CTD with the beautiful PMDG 777-300ER and the 787-9 horizon or the salty 747-8i
The thing that I noticed with this A330 is - because it’s acting so “special” - you need to know how certain things are done specifically for this aircraft and no other. One example is the Standby Fuel Pumps. They are not really broken. The problem is that the initial state of the aircraft is weird or even broken. If you setup a cold&dark state and start from that point, certain things will be working again (like in my example the stdby fuel pump). I’m not saying that this behavior is correct but it’s, you know, “special” 😂 Oh and about the turns, I’m pretty sure that they could improve the behavior if they let the aircraft start the turn when the nose of the plane (that yellow plane on the ND) “touches” the waypoint. Currently it turns when the middle of the plane “touches” the waypoint. Also a funny thing is the T/D. If you do a couple of directs and let’s say save 40NM of track miles, your PFD will tell you T/D REACHED 40NM before the “arrow to bottom” on your ND.
I was going to purchase this aircraft since it is my future type rating aircraft, but this happened. Was having high hope: since they did so well on the FSX, and not a single mind of switching over to XPlane. Just a shame, it wouldn’t be better if you try to rush the timeline like this.

Now they seem to release everything EXCEPT flight sim stuff, we've been hearing 'Hans will be updating the CRJ and it will be a big update' for over 3 years, their awful launcher, and now this ... Ugh. Thank you for taking one for the team. The graphics might be good but it sounds like it's towing a helicopter. How would you say this compares with the FSS e-jet when that got released ?
This is what happens when government gets involved. Remember the german gov gave them lots of money to develope this plane and others. When you have a real airbus pilot test out your product it can get exposed pretty quickly. Not ready for primetime still.

I’m so disappointed. I’m a Boeing guy but the A330 is my favorite. I haven’t bought this yet. I was hoping the update would give a glimmer of hope to purchase it. I know the inibuilds is cooking but I’m but sure I’ll update to 2024 right away. Any thought on what you guys would do

This is unfair. Yes there are still bugs and things missing but please calm down and do a flight without testing everything and messing things up. Read the manual and fly it like Aerosoft built it not like you think it should be. You cant even get GPU right Attach it and wait for avail to light on button overhead then push it, Works everytime. I have a couple of videos flying it here on UA-cam. I know nothing about planes in real life but you gotta fly it like it was built in MSFS.
It's like a company that has modeled Airbus for the first time. It's unbelievable to make this plane like this when they have successful models before. We are sadly watching a company destroy the trust it has by itself. What a shame...
Personally, I was very disappointed with Aerosoft. They released a product that is not even in the final testing phase. It is a real shame. Some time ago I would have probably been a little upset, but I would have bought one of their airports anyway. Fortunately, the competition is currently huge and I decided not to buy anything produced by Aerosoft.
Apparently just a few days, until we get a great plane to use on VATSIM and to use afterall. Please Aerosoft, either revert to scenery, in which you are great, or give us good planes. What I can see here, I will not buy, until it is usable on VATSIM at least, like the FREE A380X WILL BE!

You said you have issues with your CPU that lead to msfs crashes? Yes this was just a short flight, but it could come from something else than the Aerosoft A330 then, right?
How about Aerosoft themselves learn to be patient and not release a completely unfinished product to market just to avoid the danger of not being able to sell it once MSFS2024 with its default A330's is out?
I don't believe there is a reason to be patient with them anymore. They had FOUR YEARS to make this just to release a lame excuse for an a330. Also, this isn't anything new from them because if you look at the MSFS CRJ series and even the P3D versions of this aircraft and the CRJ series, you will see a similar story. I love the CRJ series and glad it was somewhat made "okay" for the sim. But there are bugs for sure and Aerosoft has abandoned it. I hope a different developer makes the CRJ series.
This was entertaining...and well, predictable. Did we REALLY expect there to be an improvement? If the answer was no, then our expectations were met. I suppose that's progress...or not.
I would also like to add, a massive thanks to A330 Driver, and reviewers who do give honest reviews showing the good with the bad and saying it how it is. It shows proper morals. I under stand its hard you build relationships with developers also fear if you give a bad review will you loose future acces to review. But the right thing isn’t always the easy thing. I’ve noticed a few reviewers who seem to be encoring blatant issues with this product and in ways acting as aerosoft damage control unit un paid. Ill still watch there vids but probably be weary of there recommendations from know. But i do see the dilemma reviews who have early access have. But that’s the real test of good and bad reviews and a good demonstration of morel strength.

That's what many content creators seem to forget: If you are a critic, you are not supposed to build relationships with developers. You are supposed to review their products. You are not part of their marketing, you are independent.

It just about sums up this offering from Aerosoft, sadly, a team with a great deal of passion, but how did it go so wrong for this product. Did they not instigate any quality control procedures before launch of the A330 ?. It is easy to criticise and joke etc etc. But this will be an extremely costly mistake for this company. They need to re think and re group. Perhaps delete this offering and re build from scratch again ?. They have had many other good products in the past. I hope this can be re-worked. Your system specs: Intel i9-14900k Maybe that is the reason for your CTDs? Run some tests like uncompressing large files. That is the quickest way to determine if your CPU has degradation issues.

I have 1100h flying in MSFS and i've been using it since release day, and during this last month-month 1/2 i'm also having the exacts CTD randomly flying the Fenix, i have to say that that i never had that kind of issues before, i have tested so many things to fix it but i've arrived at the conclusion that most likely it's been asobo with one of it's update.
It's taken them four years to get to the pitiful position it's currently at so I doubt that one update is going to make it much better... to be honest I doubt a years worth of updates would bring it where it needs to be. It was nothing more than a full on cash grab from Aerosoft. I think we are now seeing why Mathijs probably jumped ship. Maybe it's time Aersosoft like Orbx just picked what they want to be, a software developer or an online store.
Why does every freaking A330 for MSFS just SUCK. LatinVFR… well as some say, LazyVFR, Aerosoft’s monstrosity, and the Horizon A330, which is really an A320 with an A330 skin on the outside?! If only JARDesign would port their A330 from X Plane over to MSFS 😪

Curious as to why the PACKs off for takeoff? Is this a normal procedure for A330s at EDDL?
Packs off reduce EGT, it is a common procedure also for the A320

I don't know if it is the same root cause, but I had the same problem, disabling msfs trafic solved my problem, no freezing anymore.

12:35 Whyyyyy does the EFB use *green* for "doors open" and "chocks in"? Green = go and that's bad if the doors are open - and the opposite convention to the, whatsit, the centre screen

This is unfair. Yes there are still bugs and things missing but please calm down and do a flight without testing everything and messing things up. Read the manual and fly it like Aerosoft built it not like you think it should be. You cant even get GPU right Attach it and wait for avail to light on button overhead then push it, Works everytime. I have a couple of videos flying it here on UA-cam. I know nothing about planes in real life but you gotta fly it like it was built in MSFS.
It's like a company that has modeled Airbus for the first time. It's unbelievable to make this plane like this when they have successful models before. We are sadly watching a company destroy the trust it has by itself. What a shame...

Personally, I was very disappointed with Aerosoft. They released a product that is not even in the final testing phase. It is a real shame. Some time ago I would have probably been a little upset, but I would have bought one of their airports anyway. Fortunately, the competition is currently huge and I decided not to buy anything produced by Aerosoft.
Apparently just a few days, until we get a great plane to use on VATSIM and to use afterall. Please Aerosoft, either revert to scenery, in which you are great, or give us good planes. What I can see here, I will not buy, until it is usable on VATSIM at least, like the FREE A380X WILL BE!

How about Aerosoft themselves learn to be patient and not release a completely unfinished product to market just to avoid the danger of not being able to sell it once MSFS2024 with its default A330's is out?
if you still need to be patient after 4 years of continuous "work" on this product, then no. There is no excuse for the poor state this released in.

They had FOUR YEARS to make this just to release a lame excuse for an a330.
Also, this isn't anything new from them because if you look at the MSFS CRJ series and even the P3D versions of this aircraft and the CRJ series, you will see a similar story.
I love the CRJ series and glad it was somewhat made "okay" for the sim. But there are bugs for sure and Aerosoft has abandoned it. I hope a different developer makes the CRJ series.
Such a shame really...the 3d model is really good but thats not the only thing making an addon plane good... oh well

This was entertaining...and well, predictable. Did we REALLY expect there to be an improvement? If the answer was no, then our expectations were met. I suppose that's progress...or not.
I would also like to add, a massive thanks to A330 Driver, and reviewers who do give honest reviews showing the good with the bad and saying it how it is. It shows proper morals. I under stand its hard you build relationships with developers also fear if you give a bad review will you loose future acces to review. But the right thing isn’t always the easy thing. I’ve noticed a few reviewers who seem to be encoring blatant issues with this product and in ways acting as aerosoft damage control unit un paid. Ill still watch there vids but probably be weary of there recommendations from know. But i do see the dilemma reviews who have early access have. But that’s the real test of good and bad reviews and a good demonstration of morel strength.

That's what many content creators seem to forget: If you are a critic, you are not supposed to build relationships with developers. You are supposed to review their products.
You are not part of their marketing, you are independent.
Excuse me Emanuel have you ever thought about doing comedy as a passtime too ?. Just love those remarks in this video. "Interesting rotation " and "No comment " lol !!! It just about sums up this offering from Aerosoft, sadly, a team with a great deal of passion, but how did it go so wrong for this product. Did they not instigate any quality control procedures before launch of the A330 ?. It is easy to criticise and joke etc etc. But this will be an extremely costly mistake for this company. They need to re think and re group. Perhaps delete this offering and re build from scratch again ?. They have had many other good products in the past. I hope this can be re-worked. But itsmaybe past the point of no return.

Maybe that is the reason for your CTDs?
Run some tests like uncompressing large files.
That is the quickest way to determine if your CPU has degradation issues.

@@ishiddddd4783 Yes, I agree. This plane is not good. But I read the post he made in the community sections on his UA-cam channel "Does anyone of you use an i9-14900k?" But I guess this time it's more likely the A330 from Aerosoft that caused the CTD.
I have 1100h flying in MSFS and i've been using it since release day, and during this last month-month 1/2 i'm also having the exacts CTD randomly flying the Fenix, i have to say that that i never had that kind of issues before, i have tested so many things to fix it but i've arrived at the conclusion that most likely it's been asobo with one of it's update.
I have had similar problems. It may well be Windows related rather than an update, which was my experience.
It's taken them four years to get to the pitiful position it's currently at so I doubt that one update is going to make it much better... to be honest I doubt a years worth of updates would bring it where it needs to be. It was nothing more than a full on cash grab from Aerosoft. I think we are now seeing why Mathijs probably jumped ship. Maybe it's time Aersosoft like Orbx just picked what they want to be, a software developer or an online store.
It's just embarrassing. They can't even fix a GPU connection. We just can't get a really good A330. Headwin is okay but the model is meh.

Why does every freaking A330 for MSFS just SUCK. LatinVFR… well as some say, LazyVFR, Aerosoft’s monstrosity, and the Horizon A330, which is really an A320 with an A330 skin on the outside?! If only JARDesign would port their A330 from X Plane over to MSFS 😪
