We hosted a webinar on Friday, March 22, 2024, themed "Pitching for Success: Empowering Women in Agribusiness to Secure Funding." The event aimed to empower women in agribusiness by exploring funding opportunities and strategies for success.
Affiong Williams (CEO, Reelfruit) explained the importance of having passion and understanding the core drivers of one's business when pitching for funding. Ozioma Ukegbu-Onwordi (CEO, Eden Group) emphasized the power of storytelling and clarity in grant proposals, stressing the importance of crafting a compelling narrative aligned with grant providers' goals. Additionally, Etimbuk Joseph (CEO, Etifarms Global) highlighted the importance of aligning personal interests with entrepreneurial pursuits and advised agribusiness owners to identify strategic events that could impact their proposals.
