I enjoyed this video so much! So much to enjoy! Beautiful roadside scenery, gorgeous old homes, mouth-watering food, a lovely Christmas concert which included your mother, thrifting, short pants and red shoes on a wise man, and Salem! Merry Christmas Scott!
I enjoy the view. OMG those clouds💭💨 looks beautiful 👀. And Salem looks beautiful in the center piece. He's inspecting the decorations. 🤔.Thanks for Charing your videos whit us UA-cam brother ❤🖒.
So nice I watched twice! I really wanted the little baby Jesus. Poor mermaid. Short pants red shoe man was hilarious, as are you. Beautiful hometown. You could have been filming in my hometown of New Bern NC. Thanks Scott.
Awe, potato pancakes (placki ziemniaczane), my Mom made the very best. Those look like snow clouds, at least that is what we called them when I was a kid. PS has some beautiful landscape. That yellow and brown Tudor home was just gorgeous. Very cool showing the doctor that delivered you. What a nice spin on things, the child going to see their parent preform, love it. Hugs, Joanne
Lovely video Scott. My favorite type. Beautiful town, some stunning old houses there. I love those kind of houses... wishing you a fabulous holiday season.
I love your videos they make me smile and your garden state looks a lot like our praires in Canada. The grande old houses with the big porches are beautiful too bad they dont put big porches on new homes.I was amazed by the turn of century B and B such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing the choir with me and a very merry Christmas on this our saviors birthday. Much love to Salem.
Great!!!!! In So Many ways!!!!! I needed a break, so I made a cup of coffee and here you are!!!! A rode trip, a history lesson, a home tour, Christmas Music, family, friends, THRIFTING and a meal, all in one short period of time!!! I cried a bit, but I smiled a bit too🎄🤶🎅👵💖🦋 Thank you
Well, you certainly looked dapper in your hat and jacket! Those lovely houses are so big. I'm in Houston and the big houses are really only in the more wealthy areas. But where you are is much older so the houses would be bigger, I guess. I would love to have one of those big old homes! I'm the same age as you and my mother sang in a choir for as long as I can remember. She recently had to stop due to dementia. She just couldn't keep up anymore. Thanks for the ride-a-long and all the sights and sounds.
I loved the hometown visit. I too was born in what used to be a small town. The hospital I was born in looked like a small brick house from the 60s. It was tiny. I was the only baby in the hospital. And, the doctor that delivered me later became an oral surgeon and he was also the doctor that removed my wisdom teeth. I miss small town life...sometimes. Also, I have to admit, I laughed out loud at the figurine in the short pants and red shoes. I guess he was on vacation when the star appeared. 🤪
My grandmother, a wonderful musician, used to accompany Burl Ives in Terre Haute, Indiana long ago when he first started out. That community choir was delightful! Merry Christmas, Salem!
No stopping or STANDING? LOL Never seen a sign like that before ;) Love your town! It is so different than the busy beach city in Southern CA that I see everyday...
Oh, what I wouldn't give for one of those nice front porches complete with old oak rocking chairs to wave at the passersby!! Looking quite dapper, Chap! Merry Christmas to you and Sweet Salem :)
Ever since I was a child I wanted to live in house like these beautiful ones. I wanted to have a bedroom in the attic. Now I wouldn’t be able to walk up the stairs. I can still dream right. I have never seen snow!!!
Food and friendship is what life is all about! Travel is the best cleansing for a closed mind. Enjoy the hospitality of others. Learn something new. Meet someone who walks in a different set of shoes. Peace & Love to all! We are all blessed to have one another!
You are so so correct about meeting someone who walks in a different pair of shoes. So often we are so blinded by our own limited experiences and that leads to fear and suspicion of "others". I appreciate your comment.
What a fabulous day visiting family and thrifting great store . And that bed and breakfast, wow how beautiful! And time with your mom. Omg perfection🥰 and thanks so much for history and reflection of going price on that glass ware dining set .its pretty shocking how much it is selling for. Good info to know
We spent a good deal of time in that particular house (now a bed and breakfast) because my mother grew up just a few houses down the street. She has fond memories of the 1950's when she would visit the "old couple" who lived there at the time. She particularly remembers the large open fireplace in the kitchen and being served hot chocolate when walking home from school. The house has new owners now and it was turned into a bed and breakfast several years ago. The couple who own in now have restored it beautifully and it looks much as it did in the early 18th century.
Great video loved all the older houses. My favorite is Victorian Loved that little cow salt shaker and creamer wish there was 2 shakers. I would have bought it. Thanks for the concert and your Mom. And loved your Jib jab lol. God bless all of you and your family. Merry Christmas and Happy New year. Your friend Cheryl 💖⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄⛄🌹
This is just such a blessing. Thank you so much for sharing. Your ride along with beautiful countryside and houses . . . your Mom's singing . . . your birthplace! ... and of course Salem's inspection! Just a joy. Merry Christmas! :) Kat
Thank you for this hometown excursion down memory lane. The houses, the food, the shopping, the Christmas music and your mom. And your striking black cat smack dab in the middle of all the fly away sparkly prettys! May I suggest giving your kitty a Christmas feast? We have a black beauty too named Coaly. And since letting her eat her dish of choice, she looks and feels like a winter hand muff of chinchilla!
Hello a very beautiful video. It brought back joy when I attended my sons Christmas musicals at their schools. The home tour was very nice. I could magine seeing the forefathers gather around the fire place.
Those little Angel carolers look as if they had too much Christmas pudding to eat and have a stomach ache. Good thing I was not at that thrift shop in person. It would have definitely put a dent in my wallet buying items for personal use. Loved the scenic drive, I really miss living up north this time of year.
Your dress is soooo?.. well? I just love it..lol..reminds me of a gentleman sitting in a old enchanted Library, in a Grand house, the smell of old books, the hint of old leather, aged Mahogany, Oak and Cedar..musty carpets and dusty furnishings, old fireplaces and lingering cigar smoke.. Nothing smells better than a old enchanted library.... I like this video, its nice to see places and traditions from history that we don't get to see in other parts of the country, because they are not as old, And can claim Victorian era status, but not Colonial, as where you are.. but?..it made me miss my little Queen Anne farmhouse in Colorado, I can't wait until this current stay here in St. Louis is over.. Merry Christmas Scott.
Very Good Salem....you are the best fit for Quality Control we can see that~ I have a cousin who lives with her hubby and children in Princeton, NJ. Their big old house reminded me of the tour you gave us today...thank you for sharing. Waving from sunny Michigan
We surely are. I live in Texas now and there is a lot of history here but nothing like I grew up with and was used to on the east coast. Salem is looking wonderful and made the perfect center piece lol
It's the ultimate "fail"! Can you imaging being so excited to take your first ceramic class and then after waiting hours by a hot kiln....that things pops out! Ha ha ha!!!!!!
So much rich history. Wow. I can’t stand it. I also appreciate pointing out that a state isn’t always depicted accurately in media. I live in Mississippi. Point made. 😆 We frequently go to Natchez for the history and antiques. I love the NE and hope to visit more of it once my kids are older.
Thanks for the tour of your hometown. It looks very much like mine. And you're right, New Jersey is called the Garden State for a reason. I hope your buddy Salem approved of all the Christmas decor. BTW, you're lookin' rather natty in the cap and jacket.
It was fun seeing your birthplace. A private house, not a hospital.I would think that was unusual for the time period in which you were born. Merry Christmas.
I must say you wear a jacket and tie very well !!! The footage of the passing landscape reminds me of driving through Illinois in the backseat just watching out the window as the trees and houses passed by. And if my mother was on a stage singing carols I’d be the proudest person in the place. Now.. about the woeful ceramic angel figures....😂
Thank you so much for sharing with us. Loved every bit of it. For a minute I thought Salem was going to lay down on the wreath. I can see him grabbing one of his babies and doing just that.🧸 Merry Christmas to you all.
This video checked all the boxes. The scenery is beautiful. I'm from and live in SW Ohio just NW of Cincinnati, we are rural. There are areas of my city that mirror main Street in your hometown and countryside as well. Lovely and thank you Scott!!❤
Love your hat! My dad wore that style hat. And my dad used to sing that song the duo was playing in the house tour -to me in French 😍😰😰. And you are hilarious with the red shoes /short pants. Just as I was thinking “what the..?” your comment popped up. And your sweet mom “with the white hair”...you crack me up!! Great place to grow up!! It was beautiful there. Also....you could have put the baby Jesus back with the nativity next shelf over....just sayin’😉
Actually....there was no nativity set for him he was out all alone. The set you saw on the next shelf was much larger and that baby Jesus and a completely different set.
Lol, I got such a good laugh from this video! Salem looked like...you're so annoying sometimes hooman. Your hometown is beautiful! Although it's much bigger, it reminds me so much of Abingdon, VA. I'm still trying to figure out the wiseman with short pants, lololol! 😁
Thank you for this one in particular! I laughed out loud & so much when you questioned the "short pants and red shoes".....LOL.....I understand completely how the holidays are a see-saw of emotions. Merry Christmas to you and thanks again for this one, for ALL of them!
Thanks again, as always, for taking us along! Especially meaningful to me as I grew up in one of those small NJ towns up in Bergen but have not been back in over 30 yrs. Those colonials were so beautiful. Your amazing mom is a soprano? Good for her, lovely music. TFS!!! Merry, Merry! 🎄
Your intro music is great, and what a lovely tour of your town, I love all the interesting varied architecture of the houses, so thank you for the trip. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas.
So nice to be on a tour in your hometown! To see where you were born and that beautiful old house. And the sheapherd with shorts and red shoes! Cool!!😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Scott! Merry Christmas to you and yours! I enjoyed the tour of your home town, the glimpse of the Old Homes Tour and the Community Choir. I love home tours, and one of my favorite things to do is tour the Homes in the Fan District of Richmond, Va. I also love to visit the Jefferson Hotel there at Christmas time. Seeing Salem approving the Christmas decorations was especially nice. He's a good boy! (Santa, did you hear that?)
I enjoyed this video so much! So much to enjoy! Beautiful roadside scenery, gorgeous old homes, mouth-watering food, a lovely Christmas concert which included your mother, thrifting, short pants and red shoes on a wise man, and Salem! Merry Christmas Scott!

Awww Salem makes a gorgeous centerpiece!
Nothing enters the house without the cat's approval!
I love the white dishes w/ the labels and the gold trim. We see a lot of bad ceramics while thrifting ha.

Hello a very beautiful video. It brought back joy when I attended my sons Christmas musicals at their schools. The home tour was very nice. I could magine seeing the forefathers gather around the fire place.
Adorable cow figure:)

Loved the music you played while thrifting. Some of the songs were solemn, but peaceful.❤️ The choir was heavenly too!
Scott! How dapper you look! I’m putting this delicatessen on my list. Yum!
If you go....make sure you go hungry!
Dapper is the very word that came to me also :)
What a great video once again! Your home town looks like my home town in Massachusetts. Old towns rock!
Oh yes Kath I'm sure. We are spoiled here on the east coast with lovely OLD home towns. Thanks for watching.
We surely are. I live in Texas now and there is a lot of history here but nothing like I grew up with and was used to on the east coast. Salem is looking wonderful and made the perfect center piece lol
I love a covered porch! Sitting outside when it’s raining and not horribly cold, that’s relaxation to me.
Train wreck! Very true!
It's the ultimate "fail"! Can you imaging being so excited to take your first ceramic class and then after waiting hours by a hot kiln....that things pops out! Ha ha ha!!!!!!

What a beautiful Main Street

The little cow figures were cute.
It was fun seeing your birthplace. A private house, not a hospital.I would think that was unusual for the time period in which you were born. Merry Christmas.
Yes funny I know to be born in 1967 in an old building like that. It was the home of the doctor back then and I think still in his family.
Loved this video!! You was dressed really nice at beginning of video!! Merry Christmas
I must say you wear a jacket and tie very well !!! The footage of the passing landscape reminds me of driving through Illinois in the backseat just watching out the window as the trees and houses passed by. And if my mother was on a stage singing carols I’d be the proudest person in the place.

Ok..you got me laughing at the monkey skit...you’re a hoot, my boy😂😂😂😂
Love your hat! My dad wore that style hat. And my dad used to sing that song the duo was playing in the house tour -to me in French 😍😰😰. And you are hilarious with the red shoes /short pants. Saw the explosion and fire in Philadelphia today. Praying for you to be safe and all the people involved to do well as possible. God Bless
Very sad....I'm perfectly fine as I live about 30 blocks north of the explosion.
Wow I love your hometown, wonderful old homes!
Your intro music is great, and what a lovely tour of your town, I love all the interesting varied architecture of the houses, so thank you for the trip. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas.

Such beautiful homes in your hometown. So good to see Salem!
We had that same Santa and reindeer when I was a kid in the 60's. Plastic decorations were all the rage.
That cheeky laugh lol
Very nice video, thanks.
Lovely hometown, lovely music, what else does one wants?☃️🎄🎅
Oh my Lawd those sandwiches!!!! You ask "how do I eat it?" Love will find a way. By the way, that's a very nice outfit you have on :)
If I lived in your hometown, I would want to join that choir! How fun is that?
Tyfs!
Hi Scott! I have the plastic sleigh with Santa and reindeer.. It belonged to my Grandparents!
I like your style and songs
I knew that music was coming for those home made angels before it started lol🤗
