Hi! The rack that comes with it can be used to grill when it's flipped one way and broil when it's upside down. The problem is that if it's in broil mode, the wings on top of it are going to be right up against the coils in the top, and if it's in grill mode, then it sits really low, and I don't think the wings will fit underneath it to be that lower layer. However, if you just load them up on the crisping plate 2 layers deep, you can still do an air fry fine, but you will have to open the machine several times to re-arrange the wings so they crisp evenly. Doable, but it can be a little inconvenient.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I really do like this pressure cooker. Ninja did a nice job on it... The 8 qt. Definitely would have been nice to grab though.
Glad 2 have found U_. It’s just me_ & not a big fan or talent at cooking _ this 1 pot does it all makes it look ez & delish_. Maybe less delivery fast food & more cooking in my future _ thanks 4 sharing
I literally just got one a couple of days ago. My first attempt was... edible, but I am not a chef, and I still have to work with it more to get a better feel of it. Just for further reference, sous vide... The vide is pronounced like weed, but with a v instead of w.
@@JoesPhenomenal when it comes to French I'm basically a know nothing, anything that I do know comes from the world of wrist watches. French generally seems relatively easy, say the first three letters properly, the fourth letter you only kind of pronounce, any letter after that is basically a mumble under your breath. Then you said just exactly like they said it, and you get "The word is gfrold... it has a silent E." Silent? There is no E there! " Eh, Americans!" Lol
Lol.... I suck so bad a pronunciation on lots of stuff... It kinda comes from the fact thta most of the time I don't ever see stuff spelled out, so when I do, I mess it up... In the case of the sous vide, I wasn't sure since I've never used the technique, and Alexa pronounced it totally wrong... Ironically I was a lot closer to being right if I just ignored it...(but still wrong).. You see that every where though... Chef Gordon Ramsay pronounces "filet" as "fillet". To me, that's wrong, but that might just be a British thing too... Darned brits.
@@JoesPhenomenal if you wish to learn more about sous vide, there is a guy that has a channel called Guga Food, who also has a channel called Sous Vide Everything. He is fun, does a pretty good production using his family and their friends as guinea pigs, and generally seems to be pretty knowledgeable on the subject. Like in our conversation on another post, I have never done it, but it's something that I find interesting, so I subscribe to him. When it comes to verbiage (or pronunciations) I don't trust Alexa or Google for anything. I think I would much rather put a laurie load of dictionaries into the boot of my car. I have a very deep rooted lack of trust for them because of some things I have seen. Are you into etymology at all?
Will have to check him out.... I've always preferred to poach meat in chicken stock, but I hear sous vide is more effective... Will be neat to see, in any case.
I just bought one. But it seems to be missing the sous vide button. It's says sous vide on the box it came in but no button and nothing in the directions about it...
Hmm... Can you see the picture of the button on the illustration on the box? Also, you have also slow cook on low, and put your protein and marinades in a bag inside there also... Works pretty well.
It just has a picture of food in a bag and above that it says sous vide but there is no sous vide button on the display picture on the box. Yeah I made some steak the other day using slow cook. It stays at 130, and the keep warm setting stays at 150. So I went back and forth using slow cook and keep warm to get about 140-145. Seemed to work but I still feel like it was false advertising saying sous vide on the box when it's actually not.
at 400F can i use the air fryer for an hour or more...? how long can i keep it on for... can it overheat or anything, if using it as an air fryer...does anyone know...?
It should be fine for an hour. I don't think you'd need the fryer on for more than 2 hrs with just about anything though unless it's awfully thick. These machines CAN overheat, but it's not usually because the machine can't handle it. It usually happens when too much stuff it loaded into it, and all that mass in there eventually heats everything else up too without enough circulation.
On their air fryer, you can do that by holding the STOP button for a few seconds, but looking online it appears, that doesn't work on the pressure cookers.... Try it and let me know if it does the trick.
Pretty much, but I end up having to say stuff like that, because I get a lot of people complaining about things not made in America.... But as you know, that's a tall order.
@@JoesPhenomenal I hear you. Ironically, a lot of the complainers created the situation by voting for politicians like Reagan and Clinton (and their congressional allies) who legislated significant incentives for companies to move manufacturing out of the U.S. And to be fair, all manufacturers sign contracts specifying exactly what they'll provide so, requirements being equal, the results should be the same regardless of country of origin. Though the profit obviously stays in that country.
Yep... Doesn't help that made in America stuff seems to be rediculously expensive, too.... Vitamix and All Clad make nice stuff, but man.... That price tag is hard to justify for a pot of people.

Is there a way to turn off the beeping sounds?
