This version of the Amiga Core on the Analogue Pocket is simply brilliant. I just wanted to test everything briefly the other day and then almost played through Moonstone 😅
Absolutely amazing!! Growing up I Never had an Amiga and felt like I was missing out. I can't wait to get stuck in. Thanks for the continued top content.
Thank you, I was banging my head trying to figure out why the core didn't work anymore and this update to the full version was exactly what I need to do, great tutorial and very helpful!
@@PixelCherryNinja Now my 32GB microSD Card is complaining that the MegaAGS.hdf file is "too big" as is one of my other 128GB SanDisk USB sticks. Oddly I have a second 128GB stick that's exactly the same make and brand, and that has no problems with the file, nor does my 256GB SanDisk stick.
Thanks. First time was problem that at archive I try only load MegaAGS.HDF from inside package because that was only I really needed. It was just 1Gb after download. I needed download whole 7z package and after unzip file was correct size over 9gb. It’s very nice collection of Amiga stuff❤
Thank you. I just used the file for the pocket but not that bigger one an was not working. It's working now after i did exactly the same thing than on this video.
Yooo this is so cool! I immediately booted this up and started jamming on Octamed! - I was wondering, I have some .adf files with samples on them to use in Octamed but for the life of me cant figure out how to get them onto the amiga to load them in! Any tips if ya have them? :)
This is a great tutorial. Does anyone notice audio glitch click when playing various titles I tried a few out, Flashback and Desert Strike and I can hear audio clicks. I tried different audio filters but still get this odd sound which should not be there.Edit: I see in the core notes there is some work do be done on mixing to solve these snaps and pops.
Just got my pocket and want to install Amiga vision On it (the full version) however my pocket came with some cores(?) installed Already so the handheld bit is already running - for the Amiga looks like there is already a core (?) installed- from what I can see it’s called mazamars312 Amiga core 0.1.2 - so just wondering if I need to delete this (if yes what files do I need to remove ?) or can install Amiga vision over the top?
i copied the 8-9 gig file but when i try to load the amiga it gives me the screen with the 2 V's and 3.1 rom 40.068 copyright @ 1985-1993 and a moving floppy image. i hope ill find a way to get to the menu with the pictures of the game. can't figure it out as of right now... update: i think it's because i formatted the microsd (i formatted it before clicking 'paste' into an external folder) so i had to reinstall the firmware unto the sd. to the lastest (2.2.) hope it works now. u: nope. still not working. up: i think my error was following the instructions in the read me file of the internet archive amigavision. instead of following your instructions in this video. thanks pixelcherryninja! upd: one last thing. there's no music in the zool levels. can that be changed? i really loved the amiga version of the music. any ideas? upda: the music i was thinking of is from amiga cd32 (which i know probably won't be on the AP). there is no music in the amiga 500. THE END.
Thanks for this, I updated from the pocket version to the full version with your guide but sensible world of soccer is still missing all the English teams apart from arsenal does anyone why this is.
@@PixelCherryNinja thanks for the reply I'm not on twitter so il just wait and see if it gets fixed in the future still plenty of other games to play, and thanks for all the walkthroughs of all the new cores that come out there extremely helpful.
Hi, can you show us how to get final fight enhanced for Amiga working. Thanks. Can you show us how to purchase Pat. So we can get ngpc working on Analogue pocket. I got my ngpc up but do do not allow me to select language. Therefore I believe I need to purchase Pat… so it will work.
No idea, it should have worked if you followed all the steps. Maybe check the JSON file (with notepad, word etc) to make sure the .hdf image is a match.
This doesn't work anymore. The front end is gone. Turn on your pocket and see if front-end still works for you. UPDATE: I saw there is a update from Amigavision for the games and when I put the new files it's working again. It must be a lot more games cause the file is like 8 gigs now.
Depends on the game. Without a dock, games like, say "The Chaos Engine" play well, but something like "Populous" won't. With a dock, everything plays well.
You only need the bottom 3 files in the Amiga folder, you don't need the UAE one that is for PC emulation only, also the 2 folders are not needed.
Thanks, that's helpful.

Moonstone is wicked 🌜🪨
You’re the only one on UA-cam explaining the details. Thanks for that. I’m tempted to sell one of my Amigas and buy a dock for my Pocket
Thanks, if you don't have a MiSTer then a dock is a must in my opinion.

Hell yeah! I was of those who requested this. Thanks for listening to your subscribers! Keep up the amazing work 💪

THANKS NINJA! I finally had the time to work on this. Much appreciated my man!!!
Have fun bud!

This should make it easier 👍

I'd been holding off on this because it sounded like it'd be a lot of hassle. But this is actually not all that bad. Cheers. o/
It's very easy. Great job by Mazamars and Amiga Vision.

I haven't tried on the Pocket yet. I don't think it's straightforward.
I've tried ADF's on the MiSTer and they work just fine.

No idea, funnily enough, I haven't tried any sensible soccer on the new core yet. It might be worth letting Amiga Vision know over on Twitter.

Wonder when we get Commodore 64 or even Vic20.. 😊
Give it some time.
Do you have to reset core every time you want to change the game on the AP ?
Nah, press either DEL on your keyboard, or via the On Screen Keyboard, and it'll take you back to the launcher.
@@PixelCherryNinja Oh yes I forget about the onscreen KB on the AP, I've been doing to much Amiga on the MISter. Cheers buddy.

Using floppy disk images (.adf) works the same as before, right?
I've never tried since getting the Amiga vision frontend. I would like to know though.
@@PixelCherryNinja Ok, I'll try it later this week.
Is it possible to play zool on the analogue without the joystick?
@@handyalley2350 the ninja ant game? I'm pretty sure it works fine. It's been a while since I last played it.

My analogue pocket will be coming in February, but I wanted to know how to connect a keyboard and mouse to the pocket.
USB, I use an RF 2.4Ghz dongle, wired will also work.
Possibly Bluetooth, but I haven't tried.
I don’t have a dock but i think you can only connect a keyboard and mouse to a dock and not directly to the pocket.
That's correct. You would need the dock. You can use the On Screen Keyboard and emulated mouse on the Pocket.

Are these Amiga games easily played on the Pocket layout or do you really need a keyboard/mouse etc?
They play well on the pocket controls

Can you use a keyboard?
Yes
