the one thing i love this movie for is its interpretation of Mr. Freeze. this is the first time Freeze has the 'frozen' wife story-line and makes him more than an ice-themed villain. and because of this, Mr. Freeze is my absolute favorite favorite Batman villain. hes not insane like the Joker, or Riddler, or most of Batman villains. hes totally sane, he just wants to save his loved one, by any means
+Xarazel Actually this interpretation of Mr. Freeze comes from the 1992 Batman: The animated series, in the episode "Heart of Ice". It's written by Paul Dini and is one of the best episodes in the series.
The reason Mr.freeze couldn't use it on his wife is because she was on the final stage of the disease while Alfred was only on the second stage nearing the last stage o:
To be honest, Arnold is the only thing I enjoy in this movie. I am well aware he is terrible and kills the dignity of the character of Freeze. But he just have so much fun playing the role, is so over the top and the sheer absurdity of it all I just can't help but smile :P
I get why the Riddler suit is in Arkham Asylum because he's there but why is Two Face's suit there? Did they recover his body and steal his clothes just to put them into Arkham Asylum? Why have a dead man's clothes in storage at an asylum?
Lobstromonous Entertainment cuz the original opening of batman forever had two face eescape from arkham asylum so they pronly had it there for that reason
I agree. In the comics and even the animated series Barbra for one was Commissioner Gordon's daughter. But also, her costume was practical. It wasn't meant to bolster sales (Catwoman and later Batgirls were) it was meant to have an interesting character to take the place of Dick while he was away.
08:36 It's worse than Adam West. The Bat credit card idea is even more ridiculous than Batman phoning the police and saying; "Hello, I'm Batman, may I speak to the commissioner please?"
I had this really crazy English teacher who was a psycho. I made a twitter for him and posted all the weird shit he said in class, and one of my favorites was always, "George Clooney is by far the best Batman".
He really should sing the final song in a duo with the Angry Video Game Nerd! Also... I watched this movie so many years ago, I didn't remember Mario Vargas Llosa was Batman's butler...
Damn, I saw this movie as a kid in the theater and actually like it! How stupid was I as a kid. hell, I can sadly even say that the reason why Freeze hasn't given his antidote to his wife is because his wife is in a higher 'level' of sickness, while Alfred is in a beginning phase something something... they should make decent movies out of the new Scott Snyder Batman comics. That shit is dark
I see Adam West Batman when I was a kid, it was fun to watch. never the less I always preferred Tim Burton Batman, is was dark and gritty, even when I was a minor and I shouldn't see that movies. I see the biography of Tim Burton in TV and in the biography they mention that Adam West hated his version, never the less, his feelings could be compared with the Donner/ Lester Superman fans that hate the new Man of Steel.
Ya know, when i was younger i liked this movie because of the silliness, watching it now i know that there are many things wrong with it, but there is a feeling of nostalgia to go along with it, so for every flaw this movie does have it will always remind me of being a kid. besides this movie is funny just to put on and laugh at the stupidness.
Batman and Robin is a bad movie. It's just plain bad. But I unapologetically love it! I loved watching Adam West when I was a kid, and I saw this movie when I was kid. I still loved animated Batman more, but B&R will always be my guilty pleasure. One thing I miss from the Schumacher movies that I would have loved to have seen in Nolan's films would have been the architecture. They buildings were these monolithic statues that reached to infinity. I loved it!
What always bothered me about this movie (more than any other part of the movie, I mean) was that Barbara was designed a suit by her old uncle... and it's a sexy suit. I mean, what kind of old man designs a skintight, high heeled, impractical and therefore dangerous, and SEXY suit for his NIECE? What a creep.
One day, I hope DC chooses to green-light a Mr. Freeze stand alone film that redeems the cold Dr.'s horribly burnt reputation in film. And how about getting an actual BELIVABLE actor to portray him, like maybe Christoph Waltz. He's actually GERMAN! Or maybe Michael Fassbender or even Javier Bardem, just ANYONE better than... THIS.
The guy who played Bane, died the same year this film was released, well no shit, he finally realised what a fucking abombmination of a movie he just made.
This may piss people off but I am not much of a batgirl fan. I am more of a Mr Freeze and Poison Ivy fan. I didn't mind seeing Barbra as alfreds neice, it was trying to be different. And am I the only person that still loves this movie even after all these years. I believed everyone did their stuff right by the script. This is my 2nd fav Batman movie behind Dark Knight Rises
Sekoy the Angel Well, whenever he's actually serious he always explains why something is bad. Both of those reviews he tells what their flaws were rather than go full-on rant.
I love that song. Best background music ever. The Sonic Adventure games had a lot of great songs actually. For as bad as his gameplay was, Big had my favorite credits song of all the characters, "Lazy Days".
I absolutely loved this movie as a kid, but now I can see why it gets such a bad rap. It plays out more like a campy cartoon rather then a movie you are supposed to take seriously.
"THEY GAVE HIM A BAT CREDIT CARD" -LMAOOOOOO
the one thing i love this movie for is its interpretation of Mr. Freeze. this is the first time Freeze has the 'frozen' wife story-line and makes him more than an ice-themed villain. and because of this, Mr. Freeze is my absolute favorite favorite Batman villain. hes not insane like the Joker, or Riddler, or most of Batman villains. hes totally sane, he just wants to save his loved one, by any means

This movie's version, however, does not do it justice.
The best part of this movie: "You can relay the sunlight."
That's when I had my breakdown.
Maybe this was supposed to be a Discworld movie...
The reason Mr.freeze couldn't use it on his wife is because she was on the final stage of the disease while Alfred was only on the second stage nearing the last stage o:

In the Immortal words of Cinemasins: "Bat nipples and Bat ass". Among other things. :D
Soren Johnson Yeah, I doubt he had time to get his suit before he left. I think it's stupid that they didn't leave that opening in the film.
+Lobstromonous Entertainment It was considered too dark to family audiences.
12:31
Ooh, the Tom and Jerry scream! Man, that brings back some memories...
Anyone notice that the bat credit card (sorry, bat item that shall not be named!), has Batman Forever written on it? :P xx
yes I did, no I didn't get an answer and that was a while back.
wow when i heard that batman and robin was considered a bad movie i was shocked, me and my family adored this movie.
I didn't know Lionel Luther was in this lol
I have a question: Why is Robin wearing a Nightwing costume?
i was wondering that my self..until i saw another robin suit like it..damian wayne suit is like that,,
Tahkaullus01 Because I'm Batman!!
Tahkaullus01 Because this suit was easier to make into toys. That's also why the Batmobile has no roof.
because he later becomes nightwing
"im afraid you'll have to die" I love the way he says that line!
I agree. In the comics and even the animated series Barbra for one was Commissioner Gordon's daughter. But also, her costume was practical. It wasn't meant to bolster sales (Catwoman and later Batgirls were) it was meant to have an interesting character to take the place of Dick while he was away.
suburban commando is where the "i was frozen today" line is from
As much as the NC raged about the BAT CREDIT CARD, I would rage about Barbara being Alfred's niece instead of Gordon's daughter.
And here is a Legend Born!!!
I really miss Arnold and his 90s corny movie lines.
Point of order: Alfred had an earlier stage of the virus. Miss freeze had a more advance stage
that woody woodpecker part always cranks me up!!! XD
In the scene where they show the Riddler suit, Two Face's suit is on the rack on the other side of the screen.
I WAS FROZEN TODAY
I remember first seeing this review. It was the first time I had ever heard of Nostalgia Critic.
08:36 It's worse than Adam West. The Bat credit card idea is even more ridiculous than Batman phoning the police and saying; "Hello, I'm Batman, may I speak to the commissioner please?"
Does anyone else want that ending song for a ringtone?
CAN YOU BE COLD? FREEZE WELL! IM FUCKING DYING
I saw this movie as a kid and actually liked it. Watched it again when I got older and wanted to claw my eyes out.
This is just brilliantly funny ;))
Is it wrong to say that I love this movie? It's my favorite Batman movie...
Yes it is
*shrug*
I loved when he went insane.
techtonicLola aka Tech To each their own
I had this really crazy English teacher who was a psycho. I made a twitter for him and posted all the weird shit he said in class, and one of my favorites was always, "George Clooney is by far the best Batman".
"Of COURSE!!!" LMAO!!! Oh, Bison. You rascal you. You were taken WAY too soon from us.
Don't forget Bat-Asses.
He really should sing the final song in a duo with the Angry Video Game Nerd!
Also... I watched this movie so many years ago, I didn't remember Mario Vargas Llosa was Batman's butler...
I really hope that the comparison of Batman and Robin in the Kick-Ass 2 advertisement doesn't FORESHADOW AT ALL! D:
I've never read the comics or seen the animated series, so it's a great relief for me to know that it's not always this ridiculous. :)
he said it as i was thinking it..yo fam this batman was a homage to the 60's version of batman it was supposed to be silly.........i hope..
George Mason It was supposed to be silly, but gave no homages to the older generation of films or television shows.
That shit is dark
someone needs to do a drinking game, where they take a drink after every one-liners
The Ice Age didn't kill the dinosaurs.
i think this is my fave Nostalgia Critic the song at the end is just to much
a batcard..........the line has been crossed, the glove has slaped the face of the viewer
If Barbra Is Alfred's Niece, Could Alfred Be Related To Commissioner Gordon?
Doug Walker some times reminds me of a 6 year old trying very hard to get people to pay attention to him
I see Adam West Batman when I was a kid, it was fun to watch. never the less I always preferred Tim Burton Batman, is was dark and gritty, even when I was a minor and I shouldn't see that movies.

Hahahaha 4:43 best part of the review!
😂 poor Arnold, having to recite and rehearse all those horrible ice puns
Im rather sure he enjoyed it.
Yeah...The script writer was cold-hearted for making Arnold do that...
Awesome pulp fiction reference ;)
They made Bane LIKE THAT? LIKE JUST SOME FUCKING ELITE MOOK WHO'S GONNA DIE JUST BECAUSE BATMAN TICKLES HIM?
That sucks.
Ya know, when i was younger i liked this movie because of the silliness, watching it now i know that there are many things wrong with it, but there is a feeling of nostalgia to go along with it, so for every flaw this movie does have it will always remind me of being a kid. besides this movie is funny just to put on and laugh at the stupidness.
where did that scream come from at 12:31
OF COURSE!
Gotta take every joke you can, no matter how tasteless.
Batman and Robin is a bad movie. It's just plain bad. But I unapologetically love it! I loved watching Adam West when I was a kid, and I saw this movie when I was kid. I still loved animated Batman more, but B&R will always be my guilty pleasure.

I didn't think it was that bad either. But then I turned 7.
1:16 this review must've been before The Dark Knight was released
justinjacques766 Is there a point to this comment?
Shadow07Warrior1989 "Highest grossing Batman movie to date" a title which was taken by TDK and later TDKR
+justinjacques766 hahahaha. You're right.
Alfred knew barbara would find the bat cave ok..... But did he know she would keep it secret? What if she went to the police?!
Batman and Nightwing
Cool video
ya know what? if they offered a bat credit card, id prolly get one.
lol i remember seeing this in theaters as a kid
Same.
I had a toy of Batman from it.
i like to see it as a sequel to forever with a dash more of comedy and actually liked it.
One day, I hope DC chooses to green-light a Mr. Freeze stand alone film that redeems the cold Dr.'s horribly burnt reputation in film.

Thank you :D
I want the end song on iTunes...
i loved this movie.....when i was a kid
bruce wayne gave himself as batman the credit card..so as not to raise suspicion, i think..
George Mason thats really smart.
i guess he has BAT credit
The batman credit card, lawwwl
Okay.
well Alfred was Bruce's Father figure after his father died
well... i saw it as a kid i i pretty much liked it back then so.....
This is my 2nd fav Batman movie behind Dark Knight Rises
this is the only batman movie i have
Worst thing ever = Edward + Bat Credit Card....
I am a kid and i saw the move :_(
And now i am sorry .
And here I was actually enjoying that movie.
this was obviously done before The Dark Knight
And for them to actually read the comics
Sad thing is I as a child had to watch this :(
Thank God for Christopher Nolan!
the latest batman film is good but it has less focus on action and focuses more on psychological torture and emotional pain.
it's morning in the congo
12:57 a 3 characters password... Veeeeeeeeeery safe...
0:51
Is it me or does this guy look like David Tennant?
The correct word is "sucked", as Heath Ledger is both not in more than the first film and also dead.
The reviews where he totally overreacts to alright movies are the best.
i hope u are excluding avatar...last airbender movie....or devil ...
Sekoy the Angel
Well, whenever he's actually serious he always explains why something is bad. Both of those reviews he tells what their flaws were rather than go full-on rant.
5:27 trust me and you will escape from the city
I love that song. Best background music ever. The Sonic Adventure games had a lot of great songs actually. For as bad as his gameplay was, Big had my favorite credits song of all the characters, "Lazy Days".
I absolutely loved this movie as a kid, but now I can see why it gets such a bad rap. It plays out more like a campy cartoon rather then a movie you are supposed to take seriously.
Oh jesus, if KarKat really saw this...
O_O
I don't care who posts this review, I just watch it to see Critic's reaction to the Bat Credit Card~ XD Best reaction ever!~
Thumbs up if you think Doug walker should do a series where he walks Dougs. Not dogs. Mother-effing Dougs.
As much as the movie stunk I wish we could have seen batman triumphant.
Funny, I liked all the old Batman movies way better than the new. Even this Batman movie is better than the new ones.
I'm not sure if this movie crosses the line twice or not
I want a bat credit card
From what movie is that "of course" meme?
Street fighter
I cant stop laughing lol
Well was wondering why ppl would be crushing this movie, now i know! Can't help since i only saw it as a kid!
