Eric is such a phenomenal drummer!! Love his playing with Chris Potter and his approach on the Zach Brock album 'Dirty Mindz' is so refreshing and unique... minimalistic but complex at the same time. I just discovered this series... can't wait to watch the Guiliana and DeJohnette videos... as well as all the others!
Je dois dire, c’est impératif, que j’aime profondément tous les personnages de cette vidéo. Ce sont des artistes incroyables mais aussi profondément humains. L’art n’est pas un artifice, c’est l’humain, c’est la vie.
Online translator gives: "I must say, it is imperative, that I deeply love all the characters in this video. They are incredible artists but also deeply human. Art is not an artifice, it is the human, it is life."
Amazing, I could hear you guys talk for hours! So inspiring. Each of you made a difference in my drumming life. Eric Harland is, since long, a sort of a hero for me. As a musician and as human being. Thanks so much for the sharing. 👏👏👏
Oh, this is so cool, EH is a bad cat. I love his playing on Aaron Parks' now modern Jazz classic album 'Invisible Cinema', a must have album, even recommended also for 'people who don't normally like Jazz'. Another great example of his musicality and skills is a Live At Stanford rendition of 'Caravan' Eric playing along w/ Taylor Eigsti on piano and Harish Raghavan on upright bass. Last but definitely no least, I should mention his brilliant work w/ The Dave Holland Octet.PS: I should also mention his stellar playing on James Farm.
Love this show - thank you for putting this entire thing together! Every interview I’ve seen with Eric is great. He seems like such a down to earth, humble and just overall genuinely nice person, let alone his unreal talent!
