Hey K! Just chkn this out while I was gettin' ready... some excellent additions to the family; that camille set is a trip! ... & finally Minou & co. in HD! 😁 ...thnx for the shout outs as well!! Looks like it's gonna be fun diving in once again! So great that you got entered into a film festival!!..i haven't caught your devil's tree yet! Don't kno how i missed that!! Looking fwd to chkn it.... Just thought I'd letta ho kno! 😄Ciao for now!
I also recently bought Black Belly Tarantula DVD It has very good picture quality although it deserves to be available in HD. I also picked up Enigma Rosso to complete Solange/Daughters trilogy. Most of the Giallo Blu-Rays I want are out of print from 88 films and are expensive even used. I have a small 30 film Giallo collection but I hope to add titles. Thanks for your sharing you new additions.
Nice haul! I just received today the Forgotten Gialli 6 box set from VS and also Southern Comfort from them too. Their packaging and presentation is superb!
Do you own the Severen release of Stange Vice of Mrs. Wardh? I remember you liking the music in the film from a previous video and that release includes the soundtrack CD.
I don't have that copy! I have a basic DVD, I was SO strapped for cash when I first started buying movies here n there lol. Maybe I'll upgrade one day.
I finally cracked open the CK box set a few weeks ago, and started with Sex of the Witch. It's like a way sleazier Crazy Desires of a Murderer (there's a couple of sex scenes that go on forrrrrevvvverrrr), and the consensus on Letterboxd says it's the weakest out of the three. Also, CK is in it for like 15 minutes. Still, is there such a thing as a BAD sleazy gothic giallo? (Probably)
I assumed it was Mad-eh-LINE, too! lol. But I went to school with a girl who insisted her name was "De-BORE-ah" :/ I was like "Bish, it's Deb-rah" "With substances" - hmm, I'm having dental surgery next month. Might wait until then to watch it. I really enjoyed Night Killer (1990), I laughed so much watching it, but I had had surgery to remove a dental abscess earlier that same day and was on a lot of Vicodin and I think that might be why I enjoyed the movie. I recognised it was objectively BAD, but just the bad script and awful acting made me giggle constantly.
oooohhh surgery meds + bizarre movies is a great opportunity lol. that would be a great time to watch Madeleine! I haven't seen Night Killer yet. Hey good luck with your procedure! my husband has to get tons of dental work a lot so i feel ya. PS- I know im replying to your comments out of order as I work my way down haha but welcome back!
That Keaton set looks interesting alright, never really seen her in much apart from ISoYG. Raro's new Blu-ray of DOLN I have on one of their older DVD releases which looks pretty damn excellent as it is so there's probably no need for me to upgrade it. Congrats on the Devil's Tree being shown, it's a neat little frighter!
Congrats on Devil's Tree. I'm on a Paul Naschy kick. Bought Troy Howarth's book " Human Beasts ". Plus, volume one and two of Paul's movies from Amazon. Can't wait to start watching them. Good luck with the film fest.
I'm gonna watch Sex of the witch in August. It's been a while since I've seen it. i spit on your grave is like The last house on the left. It's too amateur for my tastes and several films I've only watched while drunk; Valentine, New years evil, and Boys in the trees, lol. I always get drunk when I watch those. I did get high during Silent Running and High on the hog and damn was High on the hog fun as hell. Another film I love that has a very low IMDB rating. People must be crazy. Why do so many of the movies I've enjoyed in recent years have really bad IMDB ratings?! Love The black belly of the Tarantula. I go back to that film every once in a while. It was also the first time I noticed another giallo cliche "A lot of gialli have a scene of someone usually the killer falling to their death." Last year, I actually witnessed a wasp do this to a tarantula. Every year in the summer I'll see tarantulas wondring around outside, only last year I noticed a wasp flying over to a tarantula, paralysing it and injecting it with it's lava. Couldn't help but think of the movie.
@@KatieoftheNight Up in the mountains. Not gonna say which state. But up in the mountains. Takes 2 hours to get into town. It's basically a sort of desert mountain type place. Which is why it gets really really freezing cold and super hot. So ya, I see all kinds of wild life. Eagles, bats. Always love to see the bats flying around me. Ravens, vultures, snakes, rabbits, even toads. Lots of wild life. it's awesome, and no. I didn't grow up here, at all. I grew up in a small sea side town. One of the safest towns in America. Then I left when I was 14 and lived in Las Vegas for 18 years.
Those are some nice additions to your collection. Congratulations on being accepted to a film fest, if you go, make a video of it. I was surprised you did not say grape.
SLEEPAWAY CAMP! Unironically one of my all-time favourite movies!
I remember watching sleep away camp and seeing the ending scene, it actually was a huge twist
Yesss maybe one of the wildest twist endings ever!
"I'm a well-read bitch" - yasss, we stan a literate queen! 😂

ooooh congrats on your new acquisitions!!
@KatieoftheNight I'm just watching "Naked You Die", from the boxset, which I've never seen. It has the best opening music ever.
@@craigjohnson4819 YES okay that’s an awesome box set!!! I forgot about that one. I love naked you die! Hope you enjoy!
@KatieoftheNight I'm obsessed, it's such a fun one. The music, the costumes, the hairstyles......

Don't forget your review for Sex of the Witch, when you get a chance. Paul, a consumerist
HAHA okay Consumerist Paul, will do!

yay, thanks so much Larry!
So many gialli! What is the giallo that has a guy on a boat looking for a model covered In milk?
I have NO idea but I'll ask around!
"I'm a well read bitch!" 😆 Bless you for getting my ding dang book and sharing it with the world! I really hope you dig it, bud.

Spider Baby is like the basis for all the fucked up killer family genre.
It definitely influenced Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

HAHA yeah, i dont really want to self-censor but I also don't know what UA-cam might hear so I just kinda vary my word use. lol. Thank you so much!
What's your email so we can send you a copy of THE FOREST HILLS Blu-ray?
