I can imagine it now with him coming across a huge clog in a drain: "crikey! it's a big one!!" (proceeds to immediately remove the clog, fixing the drain.). 😆 Plumbers are incredibly helpful!

They should have use smooth PVC SCH40 or heavier pipe only as I saw some really cheap thin corrugated pipe, you get what you pay for. Great job on getting it cleaned out, this really needs new drain pipe replacement or pay you to come out each year to clean the drains out.

I often wonder why we men are so fascinated with blocked drains and their unblocking? On doing some drainage work on my old house we uncovered a 6 inch earthen ware pipe run over 12 ft long packed solid with roots, we carefully pulled the pipes off and there was 12 ft of bound up roots weeds and mud lying on the ground like a monster turd.

I'm not an expert, however, my suggestion to the homeowner would be have the entire line dug up and relaid to ensure proper slope for drainage as well as to replace ALL sections of corrugated pipe and any damaged/distorted (oval instead of round due to being squished) PVC pipe that's found...
If they can afford it, I would suggest complete replacement of ALL storm drain pipe with the local equivalent of USA Schedule 40 PVC pipe...S-40 PVC is thicker walled and thus MUCH stronger than the pipe I see being used here, it might not have cracked when the machine drove over it and if the joints are properly glued, are MUCH less prone to tree root infiltration as well...

I have never, in my seventy years of life: Ever seen so many LAZY People , who think this world OWES them a living. I earned everything I have, and I owe NO ONE ANYTHING FOR WHAT I HAVE. Still: There are those who want what I have, but they refuse to do what it takes to get it. PATHETIC !!! Jesus said that in the Last Days before his return: " Men will be proud, blasphemous, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, Boastful, Unholy, SLOTHFUL (LAZY), And they will call Evil :Good, and that which is Good: They will call EVIL.".

So I'm sitting here watching this vid of this guy in Australia cleaning out a yard drain.......my wife comes in the room, looks at the vid for a second and says " See,...some men don't procrastinate and actually do their projects around the house". I paused for a second trying to wrap my head around this new batch of words that were apparently said to incite some sort of negative dialogue.
I replied " ONE, this isn't his house.....TWO, this guy is getting PAID to do this, it's his business. And THREE, men only like to do FUN projects like this one. not those ones you ask me to do"
She then stormed off which tells me the logic overload was way too much for her.. :)

I was in about 20 foot and between roots and other crapola I was getting severely pissed aff so I used 10 litres of a strong weed, killer and came back a fortnight later to find almost all of the a hole neighbours trees were dead, I was a wee bit worried until the customer said if it stops the roots from growing back then she and hubby were happy. As a bonus my team and I got a case of beer. PS, nice thorough job. 🙏👍
