I was nervous about this video after being married for 13 years...but this was a great video. Even if you checked off all these things in your wife, remember the only one perfect in your marriage is the God you both serve. Keep your eyes on Him and your marriage will be heaven on earth.
Im a woman and there are still 2 things I need to improve.
1. Being able to connect with other people - Perks of being an introvert.. But I am a loyal friend and to my family.
2. Dress well. Hahaha I even wear something that does not encourage men to like me 😂😂😂 sometimes I wear like a nerd, Sometimes I wear a house clothes, and I love slippers at all time. And also I still need to work on my healthy diet.
And so I conclude... I am still not yet ready for a relationship and marriage 😂😂😂

Having sex before marriage could potentially make you see that your partner only wants you for sex. Seriously, I'd much rather go in knowing I can live with my partner and be compatible, and know that they care about me, versus not knowing anything and rushing into a marriage.

Not a virgin sadly but I promised God I would not have sex again till i got married and I've kept that promise of not engaging in sexual sin but I did struggle what the future may hold because of choices i made but God set me free and now I'm about to be 40 and loving my peace of mind in this area. Just glad God forgives. Thank you Jesus! Who knows maybe one day a new relationship :)
I’m 25 and I’ve made that same mistake and made that same promise to God and so far haven’t made that mistake again thank God 🙏🏻 but I struggle to feel forgiven sometimes and experience that peace that surpasses all understanding with Jesus because of those past mistakes always haunting me.
A good man will love for who you are now, not who you have been, so ling as you're honest. Hope you find him.

I love this. As a single female, I’ve found that a majority of Christian men I have encountered have said they won’t be in relationship without sex prior to marriage. I really value sexual purity but I don’t feel that’s something commonly respected or even desired in much of the church. It’s pretty discouraging. So on that point, I have to say my experiences have been much different.
Sorry to say that none of those men are true Christians then. A true Christian understands the importance of sexual purity. And the importance of marriage

These are men who are either not Christian or claim Christianity but want the world. Some Women unfortunately are like this too. It's very awful when you want to preserve your body for marriage but somebody doesn't want that. But God is good. We attract who we are becoming. Many don't believe me when I say this , but I've seen it in people's relationships. God opens our eyes to wisdom. Don't lower your standards. A Godly man will value those things. I’ve been led on twice by supposedly “Godly” women. It hurts to have someone make you think they want to build with you and then you find out they just used you for attention. I worry about if I will ever find that person my soul loves now because now I have to keep worrying about being used again.

I feel that. Watch for major red flags. One in an ex was that she cheated . I forgave her and she wanted to keep talking, but i ceased contact and blocked her from all social media. She got married at some point only for me to find her on a dating app I use and saw her profile months back. Gods protection is the best

Good stuff definitely have to look how she behaves around others and how she treats them. Some main things to always look for is how dedicated she is to the Lord, having a servants heart, meek, compassionate, etc. A huge thing is knowing roles in marriage if we can't agree with basic biblical doctrine everything will fall apart. No guys wants to keep knocking heads with his wife.....really defeats a man. The sexual purity part was spot on God bless brother.

Pride is a problem. Are you willing to be cast into the lake of fire for keeping Sunday, Christmas, Easter, your birthday, fathers day, mothers day, independence day, Lent, Advent season, etc? The Roman catholic church forbids their priests (people) from marrying. Many times, you hear them say people should not eat red meat like beef. God created sheep, bulls, goats, doves, pigeons, quails, grasshoppers, locusts, fish with fins and scales to be received with thanksgiving. King Jesus Christ never ate swine's flesh, the mouse or any other abomination. Are you following: the true Jesus or another Jesus (2 Corinthians 11:4)? the true gospel or another gospel? the Holy Ghost or another spirit? The word of God must be rightly divided.

Yet in one of his books he came close to saying that the book of Esther did not belong in the Bible. Esther married a divorced pagan man. Hyles was not impressed.
Great message brother! I prayed every night I hit puberty that I would find that 1 woman to spend my life with; took a long time of heart break to find my other half, but it was well worth the wait. Intercourse isn’t something a person should rush upon in this world.

This is a great video, as your videos usually are. I think it's important for men to make sure we put ourselves in position to be worthy of being a leader and submitted to. And part of that is being humble enough to always look out for his wife first and/ or out for him and his wife as a unit oppose to just our own wants or desire.
I agree with you and I truly appreciate this video, but respectfully, there is just one thing that I'd like to share. I notice that there is emphasis on spiritual "people" in the area of submission that you mention here. Respectfully, the submission to God alone is key because submission to God alone is the truth teller. For a woman (or a man) to be submitted to a pastor or spiritual leader can actually mean nothing, and it's possible that it may not be a good indicator because the truth is that there are many people who are willing to submit to a spiritual father or pastor more than or rather than God. Submission is for God, not man. So, I'd like to suggest that the solution is to focus on her (or his) personal submission to God. If one's eye is on that, than the view will be more clearer than looking through the lens of submission to a pastor or leader. Colossians 3:18 says, 'Wives submit to your husbands as unto the Lord' (meaning as to the Lord). One cannot fake submission to the Lord. If someone is not submitted to the Lord, it doesn't take long for that to become apparent. When a woman is not submitted the Lord, a man can feel the impossibleness, if that's a word, of her not submitting to him. But if he happens to depend seeing how she submits to spiritual leadership, it can take much longer for the truth to come out. When a woman is submitted to the Lord, life is much easier, and she will automatically respect her husband. Thanks Allan Parr for sharing this video. God bless you!

I think it is important when we are in friendships with the opposite gender to guard our hearts. I was recently friends with someone who indicated that he liked me and I was really praying about it, but suddenly he just got into a relationship with another girl. He really hurt me. I pray and ask that all brothers in Christ would be careful with how they treat their sisters--caring for their hearts and not leading them into false hope (if they aren't interested in a relationship). I know sisters in Christ should do the same but men are the pursuers in this area.

Allen, I have a question about being married and balancing a social life. I feel that lots of women go to the extreme that when they are in relationship, their friends suddenly don’t exist. I’m a single woman and find it hard to make friends because most of the women I meet (in church and out) are so wrapped up in their relationships. I know it’s also unhealthy to do the opposite (spending too much time with friends and telling them everything about your relationship). Can you please do a video on this.

I’ve seen many men fall for this trap. Some unGodly women use this tactic just to play along because they know a mans need for control/dominance in a relationship. Always ask God to reveal to you whether this person is your wife/husband (as you’ve mentioned before).

Our pastor always discourages youngsters from marrying someone their parents don't like. Parents have life experience and if Christian wisdom from God. They know you better than anyone else and they can see who is good for you .
Brother, I engaged a girl 18y/o thinking she was a godly woman, she was not at the beginning she was but she moved to Atlanta from Florida and things towards the middle and end of our relationship showed me she was very selfish when she wanted me to move up there leave my career here in aviation and wasn't supporting me when I got a second job to help my family she also fought with my mother and my grandmother about me moving up to Atlanta, trying to be the man when clearly that was my job and then blamed me for not being one when I told her she wasnt respecting me as a man It seems like she just wanted me for a purse then her husband. She was very toxic she started blaming me for the whole relationship why she was breaking up saying I'm not a man and that if I don't leave the house no woman would ever love me. she started saying I'm not making decisions the right way even though I took advice from my mother and my grandmother when she says they're brainwashing me which isn't the case cuz I took wise advice and her dad really loved me and thought it was a great son-in-law but her mom wondered why I wouldn't make a decision even though I did wasn't for what she wanted she wanted me to move in to her parents house sell my new car to get a cheaper car and save up for an apartment in Atlanta while I'm making good money here I just got promoted up the airport I work at and I'm working a second job to help pay my family's bills she didn't support me with this now I see she wasn't a Godly woman she wasn't Ruth and so God took an atomic bomb away from me she might be a little bit bipolar but I just turned 24 and I've been in a lot of relationships I really did love her but the Holy Spirit tells you when something is not right and he clearly did with me cuz we fought a lot at the end thank you for the godly advice you will help me in the future

Yep. I prayed and God been telling me that she is the one but not when I wanted her. I had to work on my own relationship with God first. We’re officially a couple now and taking things step by step but she’ll be my wife. That’s for sure.

@saved ladies, as a single godly man (confessing repentant sinner by Christ grace alone and a divorced single father since my 17 year old son was 6) real actual beauty the kind that do not fade...eternal qualities that a godly man surrendered to Jesus walking in the spirit desires in a woman and sees. It's not easy for either sec in this day and age. I know are qualities I desire foremost in a helpmate and woman you both are beautiful women created in the image of our Heavenly Father and sisters in Christ and deserve to be cherished and respected don't allow less. God bless you both! If you were in my church or area I'd pursue friendship and see where Lord lead. Have hope and depend on your relationship with Lord...not always easy and areas I've struggled and grown thanks for sanctification.

I dont think number 1 tip is really true and i will tell you a couple of reasons.
1) She could respect you as a boyfriend because she truly loves you and she could disrespect other people because she doesnt like them how they act and treat her as a person.
2) She could act with you as being ‘used to’ you and not pay attention anymore to details in your relationship , and she could instead pay attention to others details.
If you examine Ruth’s life, then I think the first principle should be ‘A woman who fears God’ because when you fear God and listen what the Word says and how you should act, then you go by these principles. And then you would know how to act with your husband or boyfriend, and with people around you. The Bible gives instructions to each :)

Because Ruth was committed to Naomi. Not to Boaz. And she did a dangerous thing (going to a man in night alone - if he wasn't a gentleman he could have abused her or damaged her reputation) in order to obey to Naomi.
Sometimes I feel like people don't really get the Ruth story.
I really hope God provides the right girl in my life for me. There were 2 that I liked before but both of them didn't really care about me as much as I cared about them and I'd always be the one to give up something that I like to do something that they might potentially enjoy doing but they wouldn't do it if it wasn't 100% what they wanted to do. Just saying, it's not always the guy that ends up being the jerk or the one that doesn't truly care. But I'll trust that God will find me the right person especially since I've already proved that He's more important to me than a relationship with someone.

the team player is an interesting take. My mom picked up work when my dad was on a down spiral of work so we could have food and heat. He got used to that and stayed on unemployment and then always had an excuse of why “work” didn’t workout for him. Now he was 19/20 when they got married and I was born so it was basically a “adolescent” “teen” relationship. so that is to put in perspective. These young relationships are very fragile and i believe should be avoided. as you need your young adult life to grow into an adult. who will pay bills and care for another with small humans.
i like the idea of team player but the person down on “luck” should have a record of hard work.

I think this list is pretty spot on. The only thing I’d like to add is that woman are visual creatures as well and like their man to also look respectable/ take care of themselves. Taking care of yourself is just a good rule in general. Just wasn’t a fan of how it was spoken that women should have to worry about how they look but men don’t. I don’t think that is how you meant it but that is how it felt to me.

I would like to add that I am a Christian, saved and believe in the Gospel. What I can say is Christian man marry women that will bring good attention to them and elevate their social status through their wife. That’s that, some even stay while it’s not cute in the marriage. As long as they are respected in the community and church, they stay.

I am this woman with the best attitude, beauty and perks. (No kids, educated, etc) and it isn’t enough. I’m single at 35 and believe god is cheating me. But yet these chics will jump bed to bed until they get married, turn for real religious and look down on me like I must be doing something wrong. 🙄🙄🙄

That's rough. I've asked those same questions - the 'God, I think You're holding out on me.' I've had to face the ugliness inside me and see that I'm tempted to make my relationship with Him a performance.

Love the sexual purity one. People harp on men for this, but for women , this is important too. Culture has lied to men and women in this area. Sexual purity matters. And many of us men are preserving ourselves for marriage
