  • Hypnotist Richard Barker At Health Magazine. incrediblehypno...
    The Incredible Hypnotist is a highly sought-after hypnotist that has been featured in countless media outlets and publications. Richard’s work can see been on: The Today Show, The Late Late Show with James Corden, ET Entertainment Tonight, Reader’s Digest, Huffington Post, Glamour Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Marie Claire, US Weekly, Google Talks, Health Magazine, SELF Magazine, Men’s Fitness, InStyle Magazine, UA-cam Creator Summit, CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, as well as many major news shows and publications across the globe.
    Richard chooses to focus most of his efforts on comedy hypnosis performances because he feels it’s a marvelous introduction into the world of hypnosis. “I give the people a compelling, fascinating and entertaining entry into hypnosis and after that, they become curious as to what the mind can actually do.” Although he is a comedy stage hypnotist, Richard Barker constantly re-frames the entertainment aspect of hypnosis back to the hypothetical question, “What if hypnosis could help you with a health-related issue?”

    Richard, as a fellow hypnotherapist you are correct to say that you are best giving them something measureable.That helps deepen the stae and allows the subject to be convinced it worked. Too often in hypnotherapy people feel relaxed but hearing everything then think that was nice but it didn;t really work as lacking evidence.

      Thanks, Radhika. If you like the induction style, you'll love my latest video: bit.ly/InductionTrainingTutorial. While on a #MediaTour in NYC, I was able to teach a valuable induction lesson while performing street hypnosis. Let me know what you think. 😉

      That was the first video I watched. I really appreciated what you explained to your student and that's what most of us students actually miss: practice! Actually I'm still figuring out how to ipnotize someone. I read lot of books, watched 2 video courses but I really miss live lessons. I failed hypnotizing my wife, friends and colleagues at work. I need live practice! That's what I will do in a couple of weeks in Rome with 16 teachers of hypnotism. If there's any chance for you to come to Italy it will be a great pleasure to learn from you. Thanks a lot!

      Thanks for your comments, Radhika. I'm happy to hear that you're going to get some hands-on training. I just got back from a tour in Asia but I don't have any immediate plans to head back out overseas. I'll let you know when I do get out there. 😀In the meantime, I started a database to organize and share all the hypnosis questions I get. When I get a chance, I'll go ahead and upload an answer to your question and let you know when it's up. Hope it'll help you on your journey to discovering #hypnosis.

      +Radhika Nagara - Yes I like how he as asks his subjects if they are under any medication or have injuries he should know about before he conducts the induction. I have seen many hypnotist just go in and have their subject go to a deep sleep without asking. Most people will not announce to anyone they are taking medication for whatever they have . He and Brian Imbus are my favorite hypnotists.

    It was interesting. I usually look for REM flutters of the eyelids to indicate a deeper state of trance. I only saw this in the second woman from the left (facing the viewer). I have no doubt they were all hypnotized though. Your comments on this? BTW thanks for posting this, a great video.

    • @incrediblehypnotist
      @incrediblehypnotist  7 років тому +11

      yes I look for Spiegel eye roll and REM flutters too. One test is the eye lock which they all passed as well as Catalepsy so I was happy with the level of trance they were each in

    Interesting video. Been fascinated with hypnosis since I was hypnotized about a month ago. It was a strange experience but I felt great afterwards. I think the way the ladies explain it seems pretty accurate but I guess I was under for about twenty minutes and I felt much shorter than that.

    I'm shocked that Richard agreed to put up his entire induction on TV & now UA-cam.
    Good technique...
    I'm curious if Richard uses the same technique when he's preparing his volunteers for a show.

      Hi Andre, My techniques vary from each circumstance. My stage show induction is usually shorter because the environment is different. One one one is different too depending on the individual. It was a bold move to perform a continuous live stream of my work and I hope you enjoyed it

    Can I ask an unrelated question please? Let's say I choose to use hypnosis to treat insomnia. I am highly hypnotizeable, but I can't transition from deep trance to actual sleep (like sleep all night sleep). I can't figure out why.

    Uggghhh. I know you say that we're still in control, but there's something very unsettling about having a guy guide your thoughts/movements and possibly prevent you from remembering things. I really want to try it but I'm actually a little scared.

    How about subliminal message? Is it similar to hypnosis minus the induction?

    • @incrediblehypnotist
      @incrediblehypnotist  7 років тому +3

      A long answer, but basically:
      Hypnosis is a state of human consciousness involving focused attention and reduced peripheral awareness and an enhanced capacity to respond to suggestion.
      Example. When someone guides you into a state of relaxation that allows them to speak with your subconscious mind.
      Subliminal Messages are stimuli that lie below our threshold of conscious awareness. It is a message passed to the human mind without the mind being consciously aware of it.
      Example. This is the reason that McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's and other fast food companies all share the same colors in the their logo. Mispronouncing words and utilizing shapes and colors can also embed messages to your subconscious.
      Autosuggestion is a psychological technique related to the placebo effect. It is a form of self-induced suggestion in which individuals guide their own thoughts, feelings, or behavior.
      Example. This can easily be seen in most meditation techniques as well as repeating personal mantras everyday for self-improvement; like transcendental meditation.

      +Hypnotist Richard Barker - Most Intriguing. Thank you Richard now just one more question. Can hypnosis be forced onto a subject or does the subject have to fully and willingly commit in order for it to work?

    • @incrediblehypnotist
      @incrediblehypnotist  7 років тому +4

      For someone to by hypnotized they have to be willing and want the hypnosis to take place. That being said, there are forms of covert hypnosis that I teach in my book Selling Hypnotically. 👍

    Yes, you won't do anything you don't want to do, unless Hypnotist doesn't play mind tiricks to you. For example, he told you to punch a kid, but you are not doing it. Next he makes you believe the child is actually a rapist and hurting a woman right now. And bum! You punch the kid.
