This set is SEVERELY underrated.
Its one of my favorites of all time.
I just drafted it for the first time this weekend and I strongly agree with you! I think it was due to the overpriced vs expected value from the set compared to the previous commander draft. I got a box for 90$+tx (CND) from my LGS and it was completely worth it at that price!
When the packs don’t want to be opened and the playmat says “buy singles”, POA says no, keeps powering through, and we are all here for it.
Ahhh!! I’m the Timmy who bought a case of set for $475 shipped. It was soo cheap at the time. Now I wish I waited and got a box of fallen empires or something old. Lesson learned!
I opened two set boxes. Got every good card. If you open them and get trash it’s probably my fault.
I've run Ur-dragon, i've run scion of ur-dragon, and i've run miirym(i might have a thing for dragons lol). without question, miirym was the most fun dragon deck i've run. not the most powerful, but def the most fun.
finally finally someone who really like this set, i've loved it since day one to the point my local store ran out because i bought so many booster boxes!

We just drafted a box this weekend and it was very similar. Change the dragon for a worthless Mythic but add a displacer kitten and an extra dual land. We got our money back and more if you include how much fun this product is to draft!

my clb set box wasn't valuable but i loved it. i got my kitty and a bunch of straight up EDH staples for me like erinis, jaheira, vile dupe, wizards of thay, archivist, deepgnome, myrel, etc
I must have gotten lucky with my set box around release. I got one of each of the bond lands and two reflecting pools.
Always nice to see a solid box of BG. I know I poo-poo'd this set when it came out, but only because those Set boxes were just so darn awful! I do actually enjoy the fact this set is rising from the ashes.

I opened my dream box 2 weeks ago my draft box had : 1 copper 1 silver 1 displacer kitten 1 archivist and 3 lands seems like complaining about how I should never open a box again has paid off xD
