I went to the Philippines 5 times. $1 is equivalent to 50 pesos. We rented whole house for 10000 pesos which is $200 only. Very cheap country and good food. People are friendly and respectful. I will recommended philiplines for vacation .

These beautiful places, cheap cost, and great experience than other country may have too. But what make the Philippines the best of choices among them, is the people. They can and understand english, aside of the hospitality and friendliness that they can offer compare to other countries in Asia.

    FYI:
1-Tarsiers are well protected species, it's illegal and fatal for them to be domesticated.
2- No known shark attacks in the Philippines, even our whale sharks are friendly, so no reason to be scared on Philippine deepwaters.
    3. What he featured in the video is just 25% of the country, basically just the middle of the country.

$1 = P47.80 the current exchange rate now. I was in El Nido Palawan 2 years ago. A decent budget meal (sea food) is $5 . Everything is cheap. The cost of food and hotel are very affordable. There are wide variety of food to choose, from Asian to European. During winter season, most visitors are European, out numbered Filipinos. I highly recommend to visit El Nido for 5-6 days stay as this season may encounter a bad weather and may not allowed for boat tour and island hopping. But in case it will happen to you, the alternative tour is to check out the beautiful waterfalls surrounding the island. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. It was an amazing experience.

Hi guys! Thank you for your reaction. I’m Filipino and I’ll try my best to explain to you the cost of living here in the Philippines. I travel a lot so I’m basing this from my own experience.
I’ll use USD for your reference.
A decent full meal may cost you $2-$3 like fastfood such as McDonalds. You can have hamburger, with french fries and soda for just that much.
If you feel like being a little fancy, good restaurants may cost $6-$10 per meal.
If you’re planning to stay in Boracay for let’s say 3 days and 2 nights with food and accommodation this might cost you around $200-$300 sometimes higher depending on the season. And when I was in Cebu it cost me around $250 but it was 4 days and 3 nights, food and accommodation. You can find cheaper prices if you were able to get a promo from a travel agency but of course DIY is always cheaper.
Hotels if you’re planning to stay in Manila or anywhere else here in the Philippines, and if you have Airbnb you can find rooms as low as $20 per night. Just make sure they have airconditioner coz Philippines is a tropical country. Altho most of the westerners love the hot weather here.
Airbnb will definitely give you an idea how cheap the hotels are here in the Philippines.
Don’t be afraid to explore. Filipinos are known for our hospitality. Filipinos can speak good english so I’m sure you wont have any problems asking for directions. People here are kind and they will help you out. Be careful with pick pockets, well I think they’re everywhere no matter what country you’re from. But in general Philippines is safe. Filipinos are very kind and polite and we love to smile. We like foreigners and we love seeing you guys enjoy the beauty of our country especially the food, beaches, nature and of course the people.
I hope this helps you. 🇵🇭💙😊

You are referring to the big lagoon, if it's high tide, it gets really deep as boats can pass through it but if it's low tide, you have to swim through the long stretch to get to your boat. It can be shallow reaching up to your knees then deeper as the day goes along.

The 3rd waterfall we went to and I STRONGLY suggest, look it up is Dao Falls in Cebu. Smaller but magical. Words and vids can’t express enough the beauty and uniqueness of this spot.

Roughly 50 pesos to a dollar. Your dollars go a long way in the Philippines esp in the non touristy or provincial spots.

1 dollar can get you 1 bottled water and a chip or even a convenience store hotdog.
Although for popular tourists spots you can expect that prices tends to be higher unless you will buy from an established chain of supermarket, or convenience store.
you can even find a street corner store that sells rice and viand for a dollar on some places.

CEBU PACIFIC is really a go to airline in terms of domestic travel. Compare to PAL that more rely on international flights, Cebu Pacific is more focus on domestic travel, but also offers few international flights.

Currency conversion is about 50PH for 1 USD. Cost (food) is about 60-30% cheaper, specially seafood, pork, chicken and veggie dishes. It also depends where you go/hangout. If you hangout in the main city or 4-5 star hotels, it will be as expensive as US. I find the best budget is around 60-100 USD per person, this will be enough to pay for your hotel, food, alcohol and island hoping. If you go with a friend, its even cheaper if you can split the cost and share. It's also a lot cheaper to go during their winter season, less crowded and better discounts on hotels and tours.

The best is to visit the Tubbatahah Reef in Palawan, this is a protected island. All species of fish are there. The most expensive beach resorts in the world is near to this reef but at the Northern side of Palawan.

$1US=50php(peso) or $1Cad=40php. Basically your boba milk tea= $5-$6 here in calgary but in Phil=70php or $2cad only. You can check out NAS Daily vlog for price comparison but of course, if you want a luxury vacation, expect a pricey one. I suggest to look for someone in your blog to help you out when you visit 🇵🇭. Being with locals will save you tons of $$$. Since you're Canadian, you can contact Kulas(kyle jennerman) or Bret Maverick. They can probably help you out as this canadian dude already live there. They can tour you around Philippines. actually they visited most places in our country better than any Filipinos..... Good luck and cheers from Filipino here in Calgary
