  • Skeptics are quick to point out that there are discrepancies in the Bible, but no one makes the effort to resolve these discrepancies - except Dr. Miles Jones.
    Dr. Jones joins us tonight to determine whether the common assumption that Yeshua was a carpenter is true or just a misunderstanding!

    This is fascinating! I have the translation called The Scriptures that I have studied for the last 23 years. I come from a very long line of Pentecostal believers. When I saw Michael Rood in 1998 with the Prophecy Club, I never looked back. It has been hard because my family did and still doesn't understand why I would walk away from the church. They can not understand until they choose truth over lies, light over darkness, freedom in Yashua over the chains of man made religion.

It’s always been easy for me to understand of the day builders were builders of the trade they were familiar completely with the masonic trades with the use of wood though the use of wood was limited because Wood was more valuable precious used in interior structure so it lasted. The biggest misunderstanding is the use of cannabis cannabis was a main building product in the ancient world.

    Given the fact that there has never been in the history of the Torah (Old Testament) the religion of God to be named after a Prophet (i.e. Adaminity, Abrahamity, Mosanity, etc.) I would like to clarify that Jesus didn't preach the religion of Christianity, yet a religion that gives all Praise & Worship to The One God.
    Where did the word Christianity come from & was the word ever mentioned to Jesus? Well, I did not find the word Christianity in the Bible, not even in a Bible dictionary. Specifically, I did not find in the Bible where Jesus called himself a Christian.
    The word Christian was first mentioned by a pagan to describe those who followed Jesus. It is mentioned 1 of 3 times in the NT by a pagan & Jew in Antioch about 43 AD, (Acts 11:26, Acts 26:38 & 1 Peter 4:16) long after Jesus left this earth. To accept the words of pagans as having any value or association with divinity, Jesus or God is contrary to the teachings of all Prophets.
    Jesus prophesied that people would worship him uselessly, call him son of God & believe in doctrines made by men:
    "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men"
    - Matthew 15:9

      Jesus was not allowed to be a teacher, or a Rabbi. His gospel was rejected by the San Hadrjin. It went against the continual interpretation of a standard 'cubit' (long story condensed), in a way that saw the texts as a individualy recorded 'torah'/scrolls of persons life for the soul calibur of continual historical reference of the literal 'word of God' as it is played out through the mind of the male and the incarnation made flesh. It is why the 'female' version of the word is almost never read or written, and only a deemed 'righteous' man was decided to be 'cir-cumscribed' after the bar mihtfsva and validation. . . It takes a village.

    Perhaps as a coherent sentence it reads; "The Rock; He has heard His friend man, the son of tilled ground. The serpent struck His heel. Yehovah has graciously bestowed a Twin (maybe 2nd Adam?). Question: Could the order of the apostles in the Catalonia and Shem Tov Hebrew reflect an acrostic word? Has Dr. Jones investigated the use of acrostic patterns that reflects a word or words which is prevalent in Hebrew writing? Also has Dr. Jones been to Santiago, Spain to visit the Jewish quarter where James came to preach the Gospel? Perhaps there is evidence and manuscripts in Padron on the coast of Galicia. Santiago de Compostela would be an ideal place to do research looking for Hebrew Gospel manuscripts and Jewish history. To my knowledge, no one has done any research on Jewish history, most of it has been done in the south.

    • @EtreTocsin
      @EtreTocsin 3 роки тому

      No because many of the Gospels were penned in Greek first and were penned by non-rabbinic scribes...Luke probably wrote his gospel himself but the others had scribes usually...and they were simply creating original accounts whereas Rabbis rules were simply to COPY old texts already in circulation. Also, we do not know who wrote some of the Gospel texts, they may have been Greek or Roman or Jewish...Two totally different situations...Cannot compare apples to oranges.

    Michael, at 11:00, when you begin the communion liturgy, I see that you're using leavened bread. In one of your previous episodes, you explained that Jesus used leavened, not unleavened bread for communion, but I don't see that in scripture.
    Mark 14:12 says:
    12 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”
    ______
    Then, after they had prepared a place for him, he institutes communion, in verses 22-25:
    ______
    22 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take it; this is my body.”
    23 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it.
    24 “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many,” he said to them. 25 “Truly I tell you, I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”
    ______
    This was all during the Festival of Unleavened Bread, according to Mark. Therefore, Jesus would not have been using leavened bread for communion.
    We remember that he was pierced for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. We also remember that he was sinless. The matzoh represents these things: leavening is symbolic of sin, so the unleavened matzoh, which is pierced and "bruised" (from the toasted welts and bumps that rise during baking) symbolizes Jesus' sinless body pierced and bruised for us.
    Given that communion commemorates the Last Supper, which was during the feat of unleavened bread, it should not be done with leavened challah.

    • @chanamoriel8696
      @chanamoriel8696 3 роки тому

      The last supper was NOT the Passover Seder. He died as the Lamb of God, shortly before the Passover began. Remember, that is when the lambs were slaughtered and all of the feasts are shadow pictures of what is to come. Therefore, his sacrifice HAD to follow the same instruction.
      Now given the above knowledge, we know that the last supper served leavened bread and that the feast of unleavened bread had not yet begun.
      Also, the bread that Michael is holding is called Challah bread and it is delicious!

    • @Berkana
      @Berkana 3 роки тому

      @@chanamoriel8696 I didn't say it was a seder. Nehemia Gordon did an episode on his channel where the history of the seder was explained, and it appears that the seder, as we know it, came well after the life of Yeshua.
      I'm pointing out that the text says (Mark 14:12) "On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”" It was already the first day of the festival of unleavened bread, according to the text. Later on, when evening came (the next day, by the Hebrew reckoning of when days begin), starting in verse 17, it says:
      "When evening came, Jesus arrived with the Twelve. While they were reclining at the table eating..."
      Then he does the communion liturgy for the first time. The festival of unleavened bread had already begun, by that evening if not during that day as verse 12 indicates. Therefore, the bread he ate that evening should have been unleavened.

      “< 180 > Summary: preparations for Passover
      Preparations began on the 9th day of the aviv and continued through the late afternoon of the 14th. A rented upstairs apartment in Jerusalem (upper room) was prepared for Passover and for their extended domicile through the feast of Shavuot. This parenthetical summary details where the last supper would take place - not when the preparation was made. The night in which the last supper occurred was the last evening in which leaven could be consumed. This is also the disciples’ first night in Jerusalem after spending the previous week nights in Bethany on the Mount of Olives.”
      “Mark 14:12 At the beginning of the preparations for Unleavened Bread, when they prepared to sacrifice the Passover, Yeshua’s disciples said to him, “Where will you that we go and prepare that you may eat the Passover?” 13He sent out two of his disciples after instructing them, “Go into the city, and there you shall meet a man bearing a pitcher of water, follow him. 14Wherever he goes in, say to the steward of the house, ‘The master says, ‘Where is the guest chamber, where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples?’ 15He will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared, there make it ready for us.” 16Then his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said to them, and they made ready the Passover.”

      John 13:1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, Yeshua knew that the hour was come that he should depart out of this world to the Father. He, having loved his own which were in the world, loved them to the very end. 2 And after [the last] supper had ended…{1}

      @@Markver1 I just got a copy of The Chronological Gospels. I'll read through it.
      Do you think there is something to the symbology of the matzoh, being unleavened, pierced, and appearing bruised, with these aspects corresponding to Jesus being sinless (since leavening symbolizes sin), and what Isaiah 53 says about him being pierced for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities? It seems to me that this symbology is very apt for communion, since the bread symbolizes Jesus' body.

    Speaking of Christmas. Not only is it pagan, the 1st European Americans didn't celebrate Christmas until 1870! And it spread pretty slowly at 1st! But over time, it began to become a custom because they normalized, and used propaganda through advertisements and even the news papers! But parents should've taught their children better to keep the original and necessary traditions, and knowledge of the past, especially something like the catholic church's secrets that continue to this very day regarding their pagan faith and worship! At least, that's my opinion!

    We have to do a better job at extracting the SPIRITual pictures from the text.
    The Messiah came to redeem aka repair the fractured relationship between God and man. A carpenter repairs things. That is why that title is given. He is the Son of a Carpenter (God the Father) who is repairing things through Yahushua (also a carpenter because he and the Father are one. Plus like I said before he is repairing the connection between God and man).
    The term carpenter has nothing to do with a physical occupation. It is symbolic of what the person of the Messiah represents.

    To much is given...much is expected. How can you sell truth? How can it be made exclusive? If it is from Yah, then the truth is free to all. If it is not....then that is another matter. Would Y'hshua charge for His teachings? I think not. Freely you receive, freely you give. Depend on YHWH to fill the coffers.

    I listened for a while and could see that the speaker made many assumptions and mistakes. Strong, precise scholarship was lacking.
    Sometimes, the issue was actually an issue of translation, not textual differences. The speaker often states, the Greek says this .... , but it was really, it was the English translations that said that, not the Greek manuscripts.
    Example 1. - The Greek Gospels does NOT say "carpenter", as the Speaker asserts, but the KJV does. He seems confused about this distinction. The Greek word in both Mark 6:3 and Matt. 13:55 is "τέκτων", which can mean builder or craftsman, so this does not essentially conflict with what the Hebrew Gospels say.
    Example 2. - Matt. 8:6 Hebrew Gospels say "Son". Greek Gospels say, "παῖςservantδιάκονος"διάκονος" in this verse.withabout this.
    The Greek text of Matt. 1:19 says "ἀπολύσαιnEnglish means "divorce". The Hebrew Gospels use the word "death". becauseMosaic Law requires both adulterer and adulteress to be put to death, but in Mary's case, there was no adulterer, so according to Mosaic law and culture, death would not be most reasonable and appropriate manner of handling this issue. Actually the Greek manuscripts are more in line with the Law and Jewish culture.
    There were more questionable statements made by the speaker. I would recommend caution when listening to this video

    "No one ever makes the efforts to resolve these discrepancies..." Seriously? Attempts at harmonization of Biblical discrepancies are so thick on the ground one can make a game out of noticing discrepancies between the harmonizations.

      Yeshua died when the last of the lambs for Passover were....
      The instructions for the feast are very specific. The lamb is killed long enough before sundown for it to be prepared and ready for meal. Would not the Lamb of God who came to fulfill the law, keep the same schedule?

      However Yeshua said that He desired to keep the feast with them. Of course this was the Passover feast a day early. One thought is that the Essenes celebrated a day early to make sure they didn’t miss it.
