Thank you. You're the only person that didnt have some god awful background music or unhelpful camera angles. Without even saying a word, you completely explained the bobbin bit. Im so thankful you and this demonstration exists.
My thoughts exactly. A perfect step by step tutorial for visual learners. No fuss, nothing unnecessary nor unhelpful. Also not a sneaky brand endorsement for a sewing product.
i almost cried when i found this video lol ive been trying to figure out how to thread lower bobbin for FOREVER but no videos had the same mechanics as my machine!! this is so very helpful thank you !!!
4 years later and your still saving lives 😭🙏 thank you sm I just stole my moms sewing machine and I’ve had so much trouble trying to figure this out but I got it now!!
Thank for for the clear instructions! I was originally removing the metal ring that was being held down by the black plastic pieces that holds it in place making it more confusing than it needed to be!! Many thanks to you!!
This video was so helpful! I have a vintage 1968 New Home model 445, and im a first-timer in the sewing community. Best video i found for getting it threaded ❤
*When putting the bobbin into the case thingy make sure it goes clockwise *Pull on the thread up top when you use the knob to move the needle to bring the bobbin thread up If that makes sense
This was the biggest help! As no one ever sed which way to place the thread and how the thread should go on the right side of that horn thing! Thank you!!!!😅😂
Fantastic video! The machine manual cartoons are ridiculous. Thank you very much! Maybe you can get hired by Singer to create their instructional videos.
Thank you so much for the video. I haven’t sewn in over 22 years and I’m trying to pick it back up. This video was very helpful.❤❤❤ My only complaint is that there aren’t more videos.
Thank you for this video! It’s been super helpful. Can I ask what machine you’re using? The bobbin casing is very similar to mine and I haven’t been able to ID the make/model (got it from a neighbor)
May I suggest that you verbalize as well as film? In addition, many people don’t realize there are at least three different types of bobbins, and they don’t all fit every machine. You could also mention the bobbins role on tension and how that works. My Jenome takes a curved bobbin, and my Elna takes a flat bobbin that is not the same as the one you’re putting into this machine. The machine that you’re putting this into looks like your standard brother, or singer, and Kenmore. Just a thought, if somebody needs to be taught how to thread a bobbin they probably don’t know a lot about sewing. I think it’s a lovely video, but I think that you should tell people there are different types of bobbins and that they should specifically look up the type of bobbin their machine takes. And then continue on with showing them how to thread the bobbin.
I just got one of these exact models its used of course. It was working ok then im not sure what changed but now it seems like the needle isnt grsbbing the bottom thread ive threaded snd re threaded rethreaded bobin also. What could be happening? I appreciste your time thank you
@@chellohay7948 okay i was thinking i might have it incorrect. Does the first thread hole go the same way as the way it goes when threading the bobbin?
My machine won’t pick up my bobbin thread and instead is getting my top thread tangled in the bobbin mechanism. Does it sound like my machine needs repaired or is this human error? Thank you in advance!!!
Hmm that could either be in the mechanism or you could have it in there wrong somehow... I'm not too sure! I hope you get it figured out, sorry I'm not much of a help. 😅
If the thread isn't coming up how it's supposed to I'd say make sure you are holding onto the other thread that's up top because that's what pulls the bobbin thread up through the machine- let me know if this helps or If I can try again😃

I had to remove that piece, too, because of all the knotted thread in and around.

Just got a sewing machine secondhand. This illustration was very much needed, Thank-you.
Thank you for showing how the thread should move around the bobbin. That helped soooo much
Thank you, thank you for making this so simple and to the point. No fluff, just actual help. You are my hero lol.
You're welcome😙🥰
Thank you very much- I appreciate the close up shots of the bobbin and its carriage.
I try my best I know from other tutorials that I really just need to get up close and personal

The one I’m using in the video is a Brother VX-1120 model🤗
Thank you so much!
thank you so very much!
Do you need to have the needle threaded at the top to do this, cause I just got my machine and idk how to tread the top bit.
Did you still have your loop when you pulled it threw because mine just jumbled up and got all knotted
I did! I'd say just pull it taught and see if that works 🥴🥴
Bless you and thank you
