Scuba Schools International (SSI) has the best staff and training program. Padi is the most ads worldwide with 5 years more in th field which basically is nothing to worry about
You will need proper teacher qualification to teach English, or any subject in schools. Without qualification, you may be able to teach English as a teacher's assistant, or in a language tuition center. There are a number of occupations that are proscribed for foreigners. Most are related to traditional crafts so not relevant, except architecture.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I think It is important to note that a 4-year university degree in any subject is all that is required to attain a teaching licence in Thailand, while a degree in education would be beneficial, it is not a requirement. Yes, part of my reasoning for making this video is to highlight that there are many more jobs foreigners can do in Thailand, which most are unaware of, from customer service, IT, hospitality, Finance, and Management to trusty old English teaching. All the best.
Going to Thailand for a month in couple of weeks just to travel. I have wondered about possibility of finding some work out there. The only thing is I have epilepsy and rheumatoid arthritis so unsure if they’d allow me to? I haven’t had seizures in very long time and the arthritis is controlled but I am still classed as disabled so unsure if they’d allow me to move there.
Hi James, these conditions would not prevent you from being able to live in Thailand, in regards to working, as long as you are capable of doing the job without your health affecting your performance then I can't see if would be a problem. While you are in Thailand, there would be no harm in applying for some jobs to put some feelers out, maybe that can help you make a more informed decision. Thanks for your comment and enjoy yourself!
I have experience in marketing, video production, graphic design, and software engineering. What would i need to do to move to Thailand from USA and be successful? Dont care about the pay, just want something stable. Thanks in advanced.
Hi, while I agree that there are an abundance of jobs for IT professionals, from my experience getting a job in Thailand comes down to an individual and their work experience and/or qualifications. Having a Bachelor's degree in any subject makes it quite easy for native English speakers to get a teaching job, and even non-native English speakers, like Filipinos and people from African countries also. There are also an increasing amount of companies such as Field Analytics for example, who hire English, French, Spanish and Italian Customer Service Agents, they also do not require a degree, while also providing a Visa and Work Permit. I hope this help, Thanks!
Hello ,my name is Temesgen Getahun .I am Ethiopian.I I am iving in Ethiopia .I want to go Thailand. i can speak english.l have Bsc degree.here in Ethiopia there is no job opportunity . So I am searching for job. Please help me ! how can i go?please tell me the way i go .
Hi, I have worked with some people from Africa while in Thailand, they was English teachers. I would suggest sending out your CV while in Ethiopia and seeing if you get any interest, although, I would advise showing it as though you are living in Thailand already. If things look promising then maybe you can fly here and try to find a job. Of course there are certain factors to consider depending on your personal circumstances. But finding a job outside of Thailand may be difficult.
This seems quite a broad question. Generally speaking, most manual labour / office jobs etc you will not be able to do. While there are many jobs foreigners can do in Thailand, there are many you cannot do.
