Yes. It's not very common. Some compnaies who have jobs in shortage category can get approval to hire more than one foreign national on same lmia, without knowing who they will hire. Company need to have clean employment history to get this kind of lmia

They will process right there if you are eligible

I am a Medical Doctor from Sri Lanka with a work experience of 27 years in the Emergency Units, , Accident Service, Military Service, , Trauma Care, Surdery,, being in the Staff in a Medical Faculty as a Demonstrator and Administrative Service in the Ministry of Health. I have MBBS Bachelors Digree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Sector Disaster Management. I am 57 years old. No family, as I have no husband , children or living parents. What are my chances of getting a work permit in Canada with the idea of obtaining the PR eventually? Do I have a chance in any other European or Scandinavian country? Please help me. Thank you. I have a migration lawyer that I have paid $700 too but she hasn’t done anything but talk negative about the hole proses and keeps telling me to go home Evan when I have a written job offer and the company has applied for a LMIA and wants another $1000 to extend my visitors visa is this about the write price for an Exstention ?
My visitors visa runs out in May and the company Applied for my LMIA on the 15 January fingers crossed arrives before then

Yes. It's not very common. Some compnaies who have jobs in shortage category can get approval to hire more than one foreign national on same lmia, without knowing who they will hire. Company need to have clean employment history to get this kind of lmia

Work permit does not have anything to do with age..
What it needs
- employer willing to hire using lmia support or lmia exemptions
- candidate who is eligible to do the job
- candidate who is not inadmissible
- candidate who can show he / she will return after the work permit time is over

Most programs need you to have a job offer from Canada and then apply for provincial nomination

No he would not be eligible for an open work permit if he wants to apply for a work permit he need an employer who supports him with an LMIA

For those the pilot program opens only for a couple hours each year.
