all things money & finances after quitting 💸everyone's financial situation will look different, but here's a transparent look at a week in my life ✨ also, sorry for the camera/focusing issues!!
bro why have i never thought about going to the dollar store for those miscellaneous items that's genius! going to start doing that asap. also loved the comparison from last year. i feel like that's a good way to ensure you're not increasing spend unnecessarily each year!
Appreciating your thinking, your details minded approach, and logic. You're setting a good example of how to manage - how to break it down, how to be conscious (mindful) - even if you aren't trying to advise anyone or be an example. Would be refreshing to share life with someone thinking capably like that. On that note, are you the only one doing this, is it an ongoing conversation or one you both set up and then can leave it alone? How to have these conversations is really a game changer, right? In our culture, it's been almost a taboo topic, the result being we think and behave poorly. It's not just a sign of youth. Even older couples would rather leave it to "the one who's upset" to set the rules. I remember people saying this a lot: "As long as my(our) salary covers my(our) lifestyle, what's to think about?..." Great, as long as it lasts. So, again thanks for doing this. No one can watch this video without reflecting on our own choices and criteria.
thank you for such a thoughtful comment! 💜 you're right, it's so important to have open discussions about money, which can often be a taboo topic. and yes, it is definitely an ongoing conversation! so glad the video resonated with you, always appreciate hearing your perspectives 🫶
Great video, Celine! I think it's always interesting watching these kinds of videos because it shows how responsible people are and how they spend their money.
Thanks so much for sharing this! I also live in a city and this is pretty comparable to Portland, OR. Everything is so expensive now! Also UA-cam is definitelyyy a job and you’re crushing it 💕
so happy to hear it resonated with you 🥹🫶 it's always interesting to compare costs with other cities! thank you so much for the support and kind words about my content journey 💞

Great video Celine, really enjoyed the comparison to your previous spending. I am 100% a $1 store advocate, just can't justify spending money on dish soap when cost of living is so crazy these days (but I still won't sarifice on hair care/self care either 😉)! xx
Hiiiiiiii !! YES TO THE DOLLAR STORE !! I get as much as I can there, its the same products, just cheaper, why not!! For your hair its not bad for Toronto honestly! Love Friday and Saturday haha!! Things on sale yessssss, we always get the deals at the grocery store, makes a huge difference! Oh its not bad for the week!!!! keeping in mind you had your hair which you dont do every week. Thank you for sharing!! I love this type of videos!!!
yayy thank you!! I love these types of videos too 🤭 totally agree with the dollar store, might as well save where we can! you're the queen of good deals at the grocery store hahaha
So interesting! I live in Manitoba so it’s less expensive for everything. My house is $1300/month plus hydro for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath. But then again, who wants to live in the freezing cold prairies 🥶
Your nails look very professional- you could offer your good friends to do a little nail „party“ at their house. They bring a drink each for the group and you do their nails 😂🎉❤ win win.
Hi, Celine, How's it going? How are you doing? I hope you're doing well right now. The place where you live is amazing and I hope you can get another job because You know what you're doing and You have a passion for what you're doing. Wow, You know how to wear nice clothes. Thank you very much for this video, I really appreciate it. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦👏👏👏🙂👍☃️🌲☃️🌲☃️🌲
@Celinelikedion Hello Celine🌼, I really found this video so interesting and I appreciate your honesty 👍. In Australia, Sydney is the most expensive city to live in but in general buying a house and renting here in Australia is way over the roof💰. I was gobsmacked by the rent in Toronto😯. I am like you, I lead a very routine life and Sunday is also my reset day for cleaning. You and your boyfriend make nutritious, delicious meals and I love your delectable breakfasts.😍 When I need to buy things, I spend a lot a lot of time comparing prices, especially on line and it is worth it as I have saved so much money. I am a skin care junkie and I really have to spend money on my skin due to skin issues, so I find bargains for good skin care on ebay, amazon etc. I also spend a lot of money at the hairdressers but the money as worth it as my new, current hairdresser restored my health back to good health and for the first time it is feeling soft. I am also a huge dollar store shopper. and I love browsing in one dollar shops. I find that most of my money is used up for groceries💸 and the cost of food here in Australia is also over the roof. As I don't work and care for mum and dad, I have had to cut down on so many things. I had a gym membership pre pandemic but now I just go running in the fresh air. That said, I still make sure that I treat myself here and there, even if it is something small. Cheers Lara🐨🦘
hi Lara! 🌼 I've heard Australia can be expensive too, it's always so interesting to compare across different markets! comparing prices is a good strategy, also giving time to think before buying is important. I totally agree with investing in things that are important to you like hair and skin! love that you're finding joy in the little treats and fresh air runs 🫶 always lovely to hear from you!

Same here...I so agree with you
totally agree, it's all about finding a balance that works for you! the dollar store is underrated ✨ so happy to hear you enjoyed the video 🫶
if you do girl math, your variable expenses for that week is less because the hair appointment is a sometimes event ✨
the girl math makes sense to me ✨ those 'sometimes' expenses can definitely skew the spending 'sometimes'
New follower here, I absolutely adore your content!!
thank you so much! I appreciate the support 💓
Wow you spend a lot for everyday a week. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday 🌄✨🙌🏼

*cries in Los Angeles rent* lolol Toronto prices don’t seem so bad 😂 I loved this so much!!!

glad you found this interesting 🫶 that's quite a difference! the cold might be a downside, but that price definitely sounds like a benefit!!
Have you tried working at the library or maybe a uni library (if it’s not restricted entry for externs). Maybe a good alternative for some days.

Wow didn’t realize you do your own lashes. Could you maybe do a video on how you do them (like a tutorial)?
yes!! I got into detail on the products I use and the step by step in this video: ua-cam.com/video/iQNKkilYwNs/v-deo.html hope it helps 🫶
