- AT LONG LAST! Today, we finally get an update on the custom equal length headers project Jimbo & Sam from Gooichi motors embarked on months ago. For those who don't know, Jimbo in August enlisted Sam's help in creating the infamous equal length headers for a W140 S600. Thanks to Brilliant exhaust paving the way, with equal length headers, you can make one of these old Mercedes sound like a Pagani Zonda!

@Hayden Royer They've already fabricated an x-pipe for it 12:30 it's having a valvtronic system at the rear. It will be interesting to hear it after they've finished the next stage of the installation.

Ok when do we get to hear it with the X-pipe? I'd have done a merge to single, that's what's going to give the high pitched sound (so long as the headers are actually equal length or somewhat close to it). Also, the merge sections should also be the same length as the header primaries.

No one here understands that the high pitch sound effspot has is from am x pipe and the mufflers he has on it. It's never gonna sound like a pagani with open headers, but it sounds damn good! Not like an infiniti like people are saying in comments, i have a 350z i know. Its one of those things you have to hear in person.
Also I could be wrong but I believe eff spots is made with smaller pipe

You need the equal length long tube headers by Sasaki-san from Garage Sasaki. The same headers that EffSpot has. They are Equal Length 12-2-1 headers.

With the remaining part of the exhaust, are we aiming to achieve Effspot's sound? Was the 'original tunnel' his car, because the guys in Japan really made the 12K exhaust on Effspot scream. So far this car roars crazy, but Effspots system, which also uses separate pipe from each header manifold screams like the SVJ kinda:) Sounds good, but until it is finished, I can't tell. For now Effspot's sounds better, so is the idea to recreate the same exhaust design for your car?

Just picked up an 03 s600 with 67k anything I should do to it ?
I'm think it will pick up the F1 tone with proper xpipe and muffler setup. Keep working on it Jimbo! You will get it there.
Hmmmmm. Have to say sounds similar to when I cut the cats off our v12 coupe. Basically straight header sound. May need a titanium pipe and maybe some sort of resonator to get the pagani sound. But insane effort so far.
Oh also confused on the steering wheel. Unless the alignment is way way off or steering wheel is on upside down (don't think possible) These wheels should have a notch on the plate under the wheel that aligns it. No way to out on wrong.

I know that Randy has the Gintani exhaust and tune on his car but if he’s a real baller, he’ll get the Brilliant exhaust from Mr. Sasaki for it and truly have the best sounding exhaust on the planet
