So I had to clean my shelf anyways and felt a longer form collection our was due anyways. So here's a walkthrough of my Fullmetal Alchemist stuff, my FMA03 DVDs, my Manga, my figures. - Розваги

I loved hearing your own personal connection to FMA. It's one of my favourites as well and everyone seems to have a different personal reason why they love it so much. Great video!
Chunky Alphonse might be the cutest thing I've ever seen ♡ also just wanted to say that I'm glad you found comfort in fma when you needed it the most, it's not cringe or weird to have something to hold on to in life when you're struggling, it's mostly a need for every human being, to find comfort and escape a bit from reality thanks to good stories and characters like these ones ♡ anyway I loooove your collection !! I recently (finally) started with mine and it will take a while even to just complete both those versions of the manga but !! Cant wait to get there too ~

Growing up as a disabled child, having a character like Alphonse was one of the first times I ever got a character I could relate to without watching them be treated like they were the problem, like they were some sort of monster. He was (particularly in the 2003 anime) vulnerable, scared, imperfect, childlike. He is such an incredible character. Then growing up from a disabled child into a sick woman, this series happens to also have a sick woman who is such an incredible character too.
Best of luck putting your collection together too, I definitely think it is worth getting both versions of the manga since they both have something to give that the other does not (also the spines for the Fullmetal Edition just look so beautiful lol).

9:24 This! Exactly this! Basically as early as episode 3 (or even 2) it’s already starting to expand in a way that is different at a thematic and structural level (and even at a plot level with certain hooks and concepts)
13:38 and what that entails is different depending on the iteration. Also as a side note with regard to envy’s identity, I find it funny how this works with Japanese phonetics where often the v and b sounds can flip (similar to the situation with l and r, which is why we have situations like ishbal in 03 and some prints of the manga and ishval in brotherhood and most prints, or Alucard being put as Arucard in the sub for the tv Hellsing, or some translations having killua as kirua etc...) So it’s just funny that it could translate envy to enby and a large portion of fans (at least when regarding the mangahood iteration) would be able to say that’s still accurate.
17:47 Still taller than Ed’s body height by about 2.5 inches, but shorter than his total height by like 7 inches, (at the time of that manga joke.) Also dang his antenna and shoes add on 9.5 inches, I don’t think people often take the time to acknowledge how ridiculous that is, let’s say the shoes add 4 inches that means Ed has roughly half a foot of hair just vertically standing up.
1.) It is actually the right foot that falls off, unfortunately. If it were the left foot, it'd be a feature, not a bug lol
2.) I was actually planning on doing some cosplaying in public videos when it got warmer out and would love to do some videos in costume.
3.) It always confused me when people would say to watch the first part of '03 then switch to brotherhood because '03 definitely starts lining up major plot points from the start. Particularly Lyra's character, she is significant for 2003 FMA, but in brotherhood and the manga, she doesn't even exist.
4.) I absolutely love word play and think Envy/Enby is genius whether it was intentional or not.
5.) we honestly love a short king, and being short myself I quite enjoy an anime that is half trauma and half short jokes.

Ah well I love a good short joke. FMA is a good series with a handful of options on how to collect it that suits pretty much any collector style.

If you want to add a few more pieces, I recommend the 2 Blu Ray 2003 collector editions from the US and UK. The US one is Ed’s “briefcase” and the disc itself is in an “alchemy book.” The European one however, is the actual gate from the 2003 series made of resin (was quite heavy when it came in.) Both have art books with rare art I like as well.
I’d love to get my hands on those, but WOW they can be expensive and hard to come by. I’d love them, but I don’t think I could justify the costs lol

I’m wondering which is the better quality action figures of Ed and Roy furyu or pop up parade?
Based on the ones I have, pop up parade are better in both quality and appearance. That said, my FuRyu figures were bought secondhand so first hand could be different.
@@livingwithamber I agree, Edward’s pop up parade automail is well detailed but I wish they keep the red coat.
