Thank you for making your videos so easy to understand. I am a new subscriber and I really appreciate you. Can a hot knife be used instead of burning ends instead of fire?
Hi Yellowbone. I’m new to embroidery and am trying to learn as much as I can. Your videos are great. I have a question. When you refer to something called appliq. Is that the same as appliqué (sounds like : ap-li-Kay)? I’m not trying to be a smartass, honestly just trying to learn the art. Your work is on🔥. Glad I found your channel and subscribing NOW! 👍🏽
Good morning Gigi! Thank you for tuning in and welcome to the family. And yes you are correct, I am probably just saying it wrong 😅 I always feel silly saying app-li-kay. But same thing. Toe-may-toe toe-mah-toe. And there are a lot of different techniques you can use to master appliqué
@@AWGCreationsLLC Oh okay thank you, lol. You’re the best. I appreciate you getting back to me so soon. Yes 🙌. Apleke, it is, then. I am here to learn, so Teach on, Sensei. Wax on, wax off.( I’m old, so I hope you got that reference from Karate Kid 🤣)
Good question! You can tell from the top of your design, by checking if the thread is either being pulled down into the shirt to much or if it is looking loose on the top. If it’s being pulled down into the material, than your bobbin thread is to loose compared to your top thread. If it is “looping” or loose on the top, then your bobbin thread is to tight in comparison to the top thread. I have a video on here in front of a white board, it explains how you can read your tension from the back side of the design. Which is the traditional way of doing it.
Ricoma seemed to have the best starter machine that would still be able to handle the bulk load of a commercial machine. The EM1010 is considered a residential model, but it’s definitely a work horse! I’m glad I went with Ricoma.
That's awesome! Thank you for sharing. Can you show the stitch on process, as well? I've not done too many but will likely be coming to you to have patch digitized soon - just waiting on next season to start. 👍🏼
I'm a new subscriber and I love your videos.💖
Thank you!! I appreciate you subscribing and I’m glad the info can be helpful!

Good looking out on the information and video! Keep them coming!
Yessir! More to come!
Thank you!
You're welcome!

Can this patch be glued on to a shirt or whatever or does it need to be sewn on due to the tear-away backing? Great video - thanks!
I left the backing on this patch, but it can be glued by taking the backing all the way off of the back. Great question!! Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure, thanks for watching!
Hi. Thank you again for sharing. How do you know when tension is off? My patches are puckering 😢

@@AWGCreationsLLC thank you so much!
Das Vlies ist wirklich gut. Ich verwende es auch allerdings von einem anderen Hersteller.👍
Yes I agree! It works great 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Can I ask why you choose your Ricoma machine? I have been looking at Brother 6 needle.
Ricoma seemed to have the best starter machine that would still be able to handle the bulk load of a commercial machine. The EM1010 is considered a residential model, but it’s definitely a work horse! I’m glad I went with Ricoma.
@@AWGCreationsLLC thank you. I’ve requested info from Ricoma too.
Hi, can you share the link to your patch twill? Thank you!!!
Yes ma’am! This is not real twill. Very similar but not actual twill. Twill is a bit thicker

Yes! I haven’t attached them to the jackets yet but I’ll show the process when I do
