How to avoid getting scammed on Instacart

- Instacart is supposed to make your life easier by shopping for you, but many have experienced being over-billed or not getting what they ordered.

Pay attention to the app it notifies you of any changes the shopper makes. Just an fyi most shoppers wont scam customers because !!! they can be deactivated for it and many shoppers use the app to pay there bills like a full time job. Tip well and you are much more likely to get a high rated shopper i know i specifically look for the high tippers when choosing to fulfill an order and i give them 5 star service. Just some advice for you customers out there.
I work for instacart. most people use the app to monitor the purchases. i dont know how these people didnt notice all the extra charges and items, the app itself will not let you check out if you have added items without speaking to the customer first. Also they have a very vigorous ID feature that constantly asks for the shopper to verify their ID and they use facial recognition software to verify the person as well. There isnt many of these cases happening, this is just a propaganda video to get people scared of using the app. Also they know exactly who these thieves are and have their current and valid ids on file. So more than likely these people will eventually face criminal charges..
Prepaid card would stop all of that
I work for instacart & yes i used to make mistakes but i learned from them, now I dont do Any replacements for any of my customers not 1 without their concent , i always ask before i switch anything, i think food is one of the most delicate things in the world to make replacements for, we cannot choose for clients what they will eat or like because we dont know them, some people take care of what they eat & some people dont, some people are alergic i dont think its correct to make replacements for any food, but every shopper is diffetent in taking care of their clients
Thsts why if you want it done right, do it yourselves..
Now if only they could get the driver's paid minimum wage then it probably pretty easy to fix all this
Rather just go to the store myself. IC ups the prices on groceries.
They did that to me i ordered $380.00 worth of grocery and 9 pack of meat where missing

If you use a debit card for anything at all and not a credit card….You’re the Chump!!
