I have never seen elephants running towards the owner like dogs do. Its so precious that they come running and surround him like that.
I recommend you watch the video on YT of the man who pretends to drown in a creek and an elephant rushes to save him by holding him in her trunk. It's a beautiful video 😍😍😍
Darrick isn't their owner, and they don't run to him like pets. They love him and must see him in need of protection, cause they treat him like they do little calves, that's why they surround him like that. Comparing elephants and dogs is like comparing eagles and doves.

Elephants are the only land mammals than can't "jump," mainly because of their huge weight. Other four-legged creatures can gallop (or run) with all four legs in the air at some point during the "run" cycle -- unlike elephants which must have at least three legs in contact with the ground whether walking or running -- hence, the fast walk.
@@caddyjoint96 and they "scrub" their back legs on the ground when they run just by their weight as you said. it's hard to describe.

WOW these animals have an amazing bond with this man & it’s so evident in their behavior, the way they talk to him, trumpet in greeting to him. It’s magical watching this!

I still can't believe I was there just 2 weeks ago. And I got a hug from Darrick. The elephants are simply beautiful. They are so calm and you can tell they feel so safe. It is an amazing place.

Elephants are pure joy. I love how they get all excited and happy and run to be close to other elephants they're just meeting or haven't seen in a while and favorite people. That shows love without the necessity of having to say the words.
