  • I just received my new Rigol DS1054Z digital oscilloscope today and the first thing that I need to do is compensate the probes. I purchased this scope as part of my tutorial series for Java programming on the Raspberry Pi. Ultimately, I am going to use the Raspberry Pi to serve as a remote control module for a 1/10 scale Toyota Land Cruiser RC car. I will be showing my subscribers how write an Android app to communicate wirelessly with the Raspberry Pi to control the steering, drive the motor, and control any accessories that I attach to the vehicle.

VERY NICE. I JUST GOT MY SCOPE A FEW DAYS AGO AND STILL HAVE TO DO THIS. WILL BE PLAYING WITH IT THIS WEEKEND.

Don't use the 'auto' button. Learn the controls! ^___^

EdEditz nothing wrong with using the auto button. I use mine first all the time, if it doesn't work properly, then I'll manually do it.
