My glue didn't even come out as thick and clear as this but it is SUPER STRONG .... and I am a professional crafter, so I know quite a bit about different adhesives. This homemade glue is Amazing and cheap! Thank you for showing us your technique. Thumbs up. LONDON ENGLAND
Yeah it does works for me too ...almost for all basic sticking needs...and look at the quantity you get for just 1 cup of flour....glad to know its useful for you😊
Hi, I used this recipe for years when the children were young. I just added a couple of large tablespoons of salt so they didn't eat it.. The salt also serves as a further preservative. Thanks for going that bit further and testing the glue’s bond on a variety of surfaces. That was excellent!
Yes its a traditional recipe...even my grandmom and even my mom use to make a similar version when i was kid. I like your idea of adding more salt so they wont eat it😊
My mother-in-law taught me how to make a similar glue, we made child size paper mache frog head costumes! This was years ago, 1960’s, the kids loved them! Subsequently I made a Jack Skeleton head for my great-granddaughter! Both held up for years! The glue is strong!
Years ago I had made glue by mixing flour and water and cooking it. Added a bit of salt as preservative. I used it to cover ordinary cork coasters with decorative gift wrapping paper (not the shiny foil). 35 years later i am still using them to put hot dishes on the table when I have guests. It is really strong.
@@rocioramirez2026 no fixed amounts. Just take a cup of flour. Add ¼ cup water and mix well till smooth. Then keep adding a little water at a time and mixing till you get a thick batter. Cook it on low flame till it gets translucent. Add a tsp of copper sulfate powder to prevent spoilage over time. Omit the copper sulfate if it is for children's craft projects.
Thanks for all your tips. I love your videos. In México we use this glue for the piñatas base and decorations but we do not use sugar. It is just the mix of flour and water. Mix 1 cup of cold water with 1/2 cup of all purpose flour. Mix very well until no clumps. Cook at medium heat, stirring with a spoon keep stirring o it will get lumpy. keep cooking in a very low heat if you want it more dry consistency. Wait until gets cold to use it.
I've heard of your version of this recipe before and have used it for paper mache bowls with kids. I haven't heard of the one in the video made with sugar either until now.
If you do the texture paste on cardboard, and you don't want it to bend, try covering the back of the cardboard, too, with the glue or paint, and it may keep it straight. When working on paper or cardboard, you want to make sure it is wet, or moist on both sides, so it doesn't curl.
My father used to make this glue in his earlier time to stick cartoons... As he is a shoe box manufacturer... This is a really super glue for pasting...
Great recipe that makes an excellent glue! I think the secret ingredient that makes it so good is the sugar. I am going to experiment this recipe by adding cornflower because I remember when a kid we glued paper with a mix of cornflower and wheat flower. I also find the paste to be a genial idea. I have tried it; and I like it very much. Thank you for your excellent videos, your art, and your materials. You are so precious!
I remember in childhood days , using the gum cut from branches from moringa tree. For school projects and my siblings were more , they collect in a bottle and use it . Very strong too .
Brilliant. I was going to buy some Elmers today so I could work on some light weight tea pots. I was having trouble with adding dry wall compound to the dried pots. It would wet the paper again and soften the pot. I am working on a way to stop that moisture from happening. I may have to spray it with sealant or just use cold porcalan clay to cover it and then put the clear resin over the whole thing so it can be used for tea or coffee. I am putting some 2D decoration on the pot too. So I will get a couple bags of sugar and flour and get started later today. Maybe I will be successful. I take it that if I use corn starch and this glue, it will make the porcalaneiane clay same as if I did use Elmers.
This is my first diy glue, I want to start scrapbooking, but I want to do it in the most ecofriendly way possible and this helped a lot! I just did a few test as soon as I made it and it worked great, I hope after storing it it'll be just as good, looking forward to use it, thanks!

@@CreativeCatCreations i like it but i didnt try it yet i was looking for a homemade glue for slime do you have any recipi plz share it
This is great, I was looking for one without baking soda. I'm only a common craft enthusiast and won't be using this much glue up in 2 to 3 months, so I want to make less. Can anyone help and tell me what smaller measurements can be used?
1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
1/6 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Vinegar
1 cup Water
To get 1/2 of the quantity she made.. means half of a jar, if you wanna make even less, divide all the quantity by 2 to make less.. I hope it's helpful
I am a new viewer for your channel but i have subscribed your channel😍 because this was an amazing idea👌👌👌👌 and very cheap and for me one small doubt plz clear it. That we can use wheat flour instead of maida🤔🤔
Mam my glue is taking a lot of time to dry up and it is not so strong, what to do with it??
Yes it takes longer time to dry than readymade clay as already mentioned in tutorial....it works excellent for all basic craft needs...you can check demo shown in tutorial...it may not work strongly for other materials like fabric, wood etc
does it work for cardboard
Mam my glue also like this
is this water proof
