HAPPY HOLIDAYS Lightroom Presets discount code at the end of the video. Be honest, could you tell the difference now that there is a CPL filter? I had a real hard time. Let me know what you thought the tells were, or the positives.
WOW. Speechless man what an amazing comparison the best I've seen. Love how much work you put into this for settings, filter, and the editing process to get the best possible image out of the iPhone, we do that work on DSLR pictures so it makes this a fair comparison. I'm amazed at the sharpness and lack of noise you were able to get out of the iPhone, CRAZY! Side note: how did you not freeze your fingers off in Canmore at this time of year you're crazy
Thanks man! It honestly was a great time making the video and trying to get the iPhone as close as possible. Very pleased with the results! Haha, worth noting how short that section was lol. I didn't stay outside long, I forgot my gloves... oops!
i got it right, having an S5 myself :D ... just fyi, DSLRs do have a mirror. Mirrorless is called an DSLM . Anyway... would have been cool to use the 96mp option in the S5.
I have a Lumix S5 and... I was wrong thinking the Camera A is the S5 (I haven't noticed the color artifacts in the sky (crealy visible in 05:53) first). However, I'm mainly for landscape photography and I develop my stills in different way (in this particular case I would push up the shadows in the background to recover details in the trees' branches there). Maybe, otherwise the result would be different. But nevertheless I'm deeply impressed... and happy! I'm 51 years old and I think at the time when the full frame equipment will become to heavy for me I won't be forced to abandon my hobby. I'll switch to a smartphone then without compromising on picture quality!
Hey! Thanks for your thorough reply and I'm please to hear you enjoyed the video =). To your point on editing, there was definitely more room to push the Lumix in post, both in the highlights and the shadows, so in regards to editing this project was more to see how closely I could match (at a "professional" / printing level) the images together. It's not so far off where for photography we can leave our cameras behind.
Im absolutely stunned, I was convinced the right one was the phone due to the slightly over sharped look 😮 amazing edit, really goes to show how far phone cameras have come 🙏
This was a mega video well done dude, the only way I knew the difference was the clouds, iPhones always manipulate clouds in a strange way. The moment filter was really cool going to have to pick one of those up
Honestly, i got it right just because of composition from your POV of the cameras - there are some slight details behind the car to see it has been shot in a different angle. Main difference for me while watching via yt quality was the sharpness of reflections on the doors. Honestly, i thought B is an iPhone because it seems oversharpened on YT. For the social media, the main difference is just lens... i'm even doing some panning or rolling shots using my phone and people are always surprised :D
The iPhone 14 photo looks amazing. But I was asking myself, what would be the difference between photos from iPhone 14 Pro vs 13 Pro? Do you have al ready that comparison? If not, it would be cool to check the differences between these two phones. Thanks and great video! Amazing to see the capabilities of the 48mp raw of the iPhone.
That would actually be a very interesting comparison! I don't own a iPhone 13 Pro, I upgraded from the 12 Pro, and that also would be an interesting comparison as most people (I know at least) don't upgrade every year but rather every couple years. That said, I'm super impressed with the iPhones capabilities this year. Thanks so much for watching =) Much appreciated!
Love it! What i really want to know - do you re-clean your car on location? Driving on winter roads always gets some nasty salt-dirt-snow mixture on the cars. Do you know a strategy?😅
For this film I drove it out to Canmore hella dirty and then it wasn't too far from there to the location. I now keep a little waterless car wash bottle and a cloth in my car so I can do a tiny clean on set. This really only works if it's above -10 celsius though, otherwise you're SOL haha. I did a tiny bit of clean up in photoshop of both images to remove some snow from the front lip, but it was minor.
I’ve tried this, and there’s no way that people watching UA-cam can tell the difference. The difference is significant when you print photos taken from an iPhone and mirrorless camera.
honestly pine trees in the background of iphone were the reason why i thought that would be the iphone, i preffered the look of the pic B on pine trees and that was my reason why I thought that was the DSLR, but i have no idea about photography so its cool to guess correctly even if my reasoning might be off lol
A is iphone, B is Lumix. Edit: Haha, guessed right, I guess many people still don't understand light or see the (to me, obvious) post-processing on a phone. The iphone photo looks so phone-y. Despite the 48mp RAW, I can see the lack of detail even on a screenshot in a video.
Very cool video. I have the s22 ultra and sometimes I am impressed how good the pictures come out. Most off the time I use mine dlrs for car photography. But maby next year need try more with mine phone
Mobile phones are certainly more and more impressive. Won't replace my big cameras for a while but the best camera is the one you have with you and the iPhone does a great job on the fly!
I got my guess wrong. I went with the distortion in the tree in the background on the edge. But I was proved wrong. But am not wrong that phones now in 2022(23) can take amazing imagery. The best camera is the one with you :)
What is your thoughts on the app called ReeXpose? Also which cpl filter would you highly recommend as there is so many filters out there? Thank you in advance
I’ve always avoided using the moment app. It claims to give you manual control but it really doesn’t. It won’t let you change the iso or shutter speed independently. If you change the iso to any value, when you go and change the shutter speed it then changes the iso on its own. What good is that?
That wasn’t my experience, I was able to change them independently. What I couldn’t change was the aperture so to come degree it is still automatically adjusting exposure. But it is possible to find the best exposure with minimal iso.
@@TheCarCreative To 95% of people out there, no one would tell the difference, you would because you know what shots they were but seriously, the iphone 15 pro max is out now and thats even better. No point really having a mirrorless camera now

S5 is a full frame MILC not DSLR... :D

bro the dynamic range on the Iphone 14 pro is insane, loving the content as always!
buying presets now!!

Yeah i think with 96mp it's another story

Ya you nailed it. The sky is the biggest giveaway for sure. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼

Very cool video man. It was difficult to tell. 🙏🏼
pretty incredible how close you can get the DSLR to the actual iphone camera..

Would you mind testing it for us? 😅
Haha! If you buy the iPhone 13 Pro for me I’ll do the test 🤪👊🏼
Love it!

@@TheCarCreative thanks for the reply and the tip with the waterless car wash bottle, will look this up asap. 🤗 love your work!
Thanks for the informational video sir I always watch your each and every video ❤😊 I am from India 🇮🇳
So nice of you! Thank you for continuing to watch my friend! 🙏🏼
Great and informative video!
Hey man, love your work and have been following for a while. ❤

You could tell easily which is which because of the angle of the photo... :)
Haha, I suppose that is one way to do it. All subtle differences in the end. 😊 Thanks so much for watching!

I guessed right. I think Lumix has better in the shadow/black spot

The best camera is the one with you :)
S5 is mirrorless) not a DSLR.
that was a great comparison, but I realise that you use only 12 megapixel in the moment app there was not 48
You can clearly see that lumix is photo B the dynamic range is sooo different from photo A 4:33
the iphone photo actually looks better because the lumix over exposed the sky in the top left well not top left more like middle left
I could it see right on way on the sky 👍 but good video👌👌
You should do more brz POV photos
What is your thoughts on the app called ReeXpose? Also which cpl filter would you highly recommend as there is so many filters out there? Thank you in advance
I got the right lol, it was just a bit closer compared to the other one
I’ve always avoided using the moment app. It claims to give you manual control but it really doesn’t. It won’t let you change the iso or shutter speed independently. If you change the iso to any value, when you go and change the shutter speed it then changes the iso on its own. What good is that?

Can you put a link for the iPhone CPL?
Ya it’s the bottom link for the Moment store. I get a bit of kick back from the moment store through that link. ✌🏼
iPhone 14 Pro film test coming up? 😏
What print size did you print these? Looks good!
These were 12x16 inches. Thanks man!
The iPhone 14 Pro Max is amazing
Wait is that a new canon ??!?
How hard can you push a night / low light shot with the Iphone?
Good question - maybe a good video idea for the future =)
Hard to tell, but my guess it’s the photo from iPhone it’s the B 😅
Game over! I'm selling my Mirrorless camera, the iPhone looks unreal.
iPhone is impressive for sure! Maybe not worth selling the mirrorless quite yet.. =P

B was camera
I was right the rims look slightly different to me
@@duckhammer7704 Rims were a big giveaway for me too. Good eyes!
Photo A is iphone
My guess at 4:36
