Sir these go handy with Thomas calules ..............I am a student of nit surathkal.......our teacher teachs same thing ............great iit great teachers🤓
For the plane z=50 on the surface z=75-x^2-y^2 ,the contour lines is the circle x^2+y^2=25 in the xy-Plane ! But my question is that why we say contour lines not contour curve ,also we use lines not line ?
Line is general term for 2D figures while surface is a general term for 3D figure....so basically a curve basically lies in the family of lines.... U are actually confused in line and curve...coz ur mind has generalized all the line as straight lines...which is incorrect....parabola,circle,ellipse are all examples of lines....I.e 2D figures
Sir Please solve this problem : Prove that simultaneous limit does not exist When f(x,y) = 1 , if (x, y) not equal to (0,0) And, f(x,y)= 0 ,if (x,y) = (0,0)

23:58 for solving the lim of it you can take y=mx so the limit will be converted into single variable like treat it as a line passing through (0,0)
Actually the question is not only for solving problem by approaching method question is about to solve according to epilson and delta relation. Thanks
@@vishalvikal6677 ya sir absolutely thats the base

limits for 2 variables starts at 12:01
thank you very much sir,, this is teaching in a conceptual way
There is extension of concept from sequence and series where |f(x)-l|0 there exists a N>0

Sir plz don't move around only terminology
Firstly teach us by intuition and then go to terminology so that we can understand in much better way

Cause that's how that curve is defined and is taken as a convention.

I do not understand it from
2delta less than equal to epsilon
I also
I think we are just putting that value in the form of delta
Watching this just one day before exam.Hehe
Thanks a lot Sir. 😍😍😍😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sir , does it means that if there is no relation found between delta and epsilon ,then the limit doest not exist.
Yes ! It is true
Sir all these topics and examples are available in MTE 7
Am I right sir
Plz tell me what is MTE 7
@@amratsaini_iitr MTE 7 is a Mathematics course for bachelor degree students in IGNOU named as Advanced Calculus.

Sir Please solve this problem :
Prove that simultaneous limit does not exist
When f(x,y) = 1 , if (x, y) not equal to (0,0)
And,
f(x,y)= 0 ,if (x,y) = (0,0)
in this question, limit at (0,0) is not to equal to value of function at (0,0), hence simultaneous limit doesnt exist.
@@DarshanYadavIITB
I was asking for the the existence of the limit not for the continuity of the function.
You have already supposed that limit exist.
@@DarshanYadavIITB
Existence of limit is checked by LHL and RHL
